Makita 18Vx2 Brushless Loop Handle Line Trimmer Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPNs: DUR368LPT2 and DUR368LZBrilliant machine! I had a Ryobi 550 Watt Electric for 30= plus Years- it died. Now- no more cord trips, tangles and roll-ups of Leads. But- having used it for about one hour doing 60 Metres of heavy edging- in one day with 2 flat 5 amp/hour batteries, 3 days later- this is from new- bought 8 days ago- a shudder has developed that is "tool Threatening"! Has this happened to anyone before, I wonder- taking it to the Service Centre Friday 01 03 24 because I haven't yet found my purchase receipt- my QUESTION- Has anyone else found this wobbly anomaly?... Russell- Townsville Australia.
Can I fit a bump feed head onto the Makita dur386lz?.
a speed feed head???
Yes, have used a few over the years.
How do I make the cord longer
Assuming there is plenty of line in the head, this is a bump feed. While motor is spinning, bump the bottom of the head onto the ground (grassy area is best as it minimises any wear). The new line is released in lengths. The shroud has a cutter to automatically trim the line to the acceptable length.
Does this unit come with 2/any batteries ?
It comes with two rechargeable batteries, they only last 25/30 minutes though fully charged, which is fine if you only have a small amount to cut. I brought two extra so I have an hour of cutting.
What is the difference between the Makita in built battery Whipper Snipper model no: DUR 368 LPT2 and model DUR 368 LZ?
to be honest I really dont know , that maybe a question for Makita web site I brought mine from Bunnings and it was the dearer one I have been happy with it , I do have four bateries though as it only lasts for half hour and goes flat
Z is the skin only, PT2 is the kit
Can these convert to a brush cutter blade?
Not sure if they can or not sorry, best off asking Makita sales support directly. Looked at models like the DUX60ZH which have interchangeable heads but I have a no name brand to do this job so didn't invest in it.
I've see the DUR369LZ model advertised with a Cutter Blade - part number 197320-2.
Just One review and yet it manages to get 5 for everything. I don't believe it.
Yer no issues with it at all ,had it 2 years now, just make sure you use 4ah or 5ah batteries. You will never use a petrol one again.
