Terrible machine – Easy to use and clean but machine doesn't last long. After a few months it stopped working and just made horrible whirring noises!! Never buying this brand again!!! poor quality, it does go someway in explaining the number of failures. I purchased my machine online from Caffitaly and included in the price was a free replacement face plate. A very good deal but despite 2 emails to Caffitaly Support, I have yet to receive a response to my inquiry regarding the "flipper" door at the rear of the empty pod container (Christmas break may be to blame but I'm not holding my breath waiting for an answer!)

I have my coffee 'long black' and the Bella has produced (6) great results each time. The MAP pods from Caffitaly are a great buy if you purchase over $50 worth to get free postage. Caffitaly pods are also made for Woolies and Gloria Jeans with the GJ's Rich Dark Roast pods excellent for my tastes.

Stay tuned for further updates if my machine is as dependable as other reviewer's.

the operator was efficient, sympathetic to my plight, and told me the procedure to return the unit to their service department. Easy.. with a return post paid, and we were in contact the entire week, keeping me updated. If only other companies were so pleasant and professional.

A new machine was promptly delivered to my door as the previous one was un=fixable. The Map capsules are the best I have tasted and rarely buy coffee out. My husband loves the de-cafe, pleasant and not bitter. Yes, there will always be fault issues with most products,

,but it is how you are treated and the problem solved that is the most important issue.

I will stay with this manufacturer and keep using their brilliant coffee pods. Thankyou Map Coffee Makes professional coffee.

and all the liquid was going into the drip tray and under the machine. It appeared to be coffee grinds that did this. After about an hour of trying to unblock it by various means I was finally able to get it to work. I was very quickly down to the very helpful staff at Harvey Norman Fountain Gate and stocked up on Map pods which by the way I think is the nicest coffee anyway. I'm planning on buying my sister a Map Bella for Christmas this year so she too can enjoy it. Not sure how my machine compares with the cheaper ones available now in the supermarkets but I couldnt be happier. Easy to use, makes great coffee, Map pods are the best more pod varieties - a strong choc as the current one is quite weak even using 2 pods and a chai latte (not tea)

Not too bad for the convenience – This is my second Bella machine. Am in Australia for a short period and bought this since I have the same one back home. we purchase pods from Woolworths, only because it's easier! We chose the black and chrome machine which looks very smart and sits neatly on the bench in our small kitchen. The frother works really well, though I don't use it much. I have my own procedure which works for me - I put the pod in the machine whilst microwaving a small amount of skinny milk in my double walled glass, then put my glass on the tray, press the use the middle button to make my perfect coffee! easy to use, makes great coffee nothing

Mostly good – This is our second machine. The first one was replaced under warranty, but this one is behaving itself better. However, on occasions a red light flashes for no apparent reason and it won't work properly until we fiddle around pressing buttons and releasing some water. Most Rubbish appliance I have ever purchased – It started leaking just after the 12 month warranty and when I took it back to Harvey Norman they said there was no where in New Zealand to service so I needed to just throw it out - great eh?

purchased it) we can't even plug it in as the minute you try and make coffee it send the power off in our house. Have also found that over the time we have had the machine it constantly blocks up, you have to run water through it after a couple of coffees every day to keep it working. Its a shame as the coffee tastes great.

Wouldn't bother buying again unless you arnt worried about machine lasting longer than a few months.

cant complain – have been using almost every day for 2 years and it hasnt missed a beat the milk frother has issues at moment but coffee is fantastic my only complaint coffee could be a bit warmer . Love the varieties available for this machine . My kids love the hot chocolate  Show reply

Terrible. Good For UP to 50 Coffees – Purchased 3 June 2012. Made about 40 coffees prior to our departure on an extended overseas holiday. Returned November 2013. old problem. Contacted the help desk again. Their recommendation is to spend around $33- on postage to Melbourne plus cost of repair.Outside warranty! I believe a $365- machine should make more than 50 cups of coffee & will contact Consumer Affairs to enquire if we have any recourse. I could not recommend one buys a Map product. The first few cups Very short working life. Good for about 50 cups of coffee.

it was part of the family – I loved my machine got it for my birthday in november so it lasted for a month then stopped , well not exactly it still works if you use a bowl see the water goes through the tray not the front spout! Great Coffee – I have always wanted a coffee machine and the Bella one was a good choice as I drink coffee but my husband only drinks hot chocolate. It works great. Every now and then the pods fall all the way through if you use it a few times in a row but it isnt that often so I dont mind.

I will call the customer service line to help increase the temperature as I like coffee hotter. The only issue I really have was that we bought it 13 months ago from Harvey Norman for $275 and it included the frother but now you can get them over $100 cheaper. Wish I had waited a few months. Good coffee and makes it quick. Wish hot chocolate was stronger and I bought it when it was $100 dearer than now

machine quick and easy to use and love that its virtually impossible to burn yourself while preparing. This makes it easy for my teens to use. The milk frother is wonderful but a bit painful to clean. Love that I can match it to my kitchen with the faceplates. Burn proof for teens and the elderly to use. Didn't like that the seller told me there was a $75 cash back, went to the web site licked on the cash back link and it said it needed month ago. Colour faceplates don't have the back swing section, so had to take it off the original. The cup size could be bigger and would be nice to fit a tall mug in.

Makes the best coffee- very happy – Have been making some nice coffee for weeks now and the machine decided not to work after I emptied the water. they all taste great, better than a $4 cup of coffee at a coffee shop. The only thing I don't like is the milk frother that came with it, it works fine, but is a pain to clean, and if your making more than one coffee, you have to heat the milk for each cup separately because it doesn't hold enough. I fixed this by purchasing a $2 milk frother stick from Kmart. Now all I do is heat a little bit of milk in the microwave for 25 seconds put the frother wand in it for about the same amount of time and bam, all done. The stick only needs a slight rinse under water to clean, and you can froth as much milk as needed all at once. I recommend this to anyone who likes to froth their milk an know's how annoying the big silver map frother is to clean. Now all I need is a guide on what the best quantity levels for the machine is so I can program the cup levels perfectly! Thanks map I love my machine! So easy to use, fast, yummy, reliable, a breeze to clean. Nothing! The only thing I don't like is the included milk frother!

2 machines havent made a drop of coffee – Purchased one of these from Good Guys and despite following instructions it refused to prime, just a loud annoying buzz from pump that wouldnt suck water. activating middle button the buttons stop working, which I presume is an overheating safeguard. I let it cool for 10 min and try again. not a single drop of water coming through. Very disappointed. You pay your money and expect things to work. Looks good as a doorstop. Doesnt work !!

Good Machine, Milk Frother has issues – I bought my machine and have had no trouble with it. Nice coffee too. We have one in the office and considering the rough treatment it gets, it has coped well. It Just Does Not Work – I brought the Map Bella to use since I like coffee & work offshore. Lots of noise, not good in close quarters and worse it does not even prime. Since I am offshore I can not even get it back to get it replaced. Waste of money. Should have brought a Nespresso, at least they work! Since it will not even prime you can not make coffee with this machine. Its an expensive table decoration

Excellant machine!! – It is easy to use and cost effective for lovely coffee and hot chocolate, there was no milk frother with mine when my son bought it for me for my birthday but there is now one include in the price at some stores,but it can be bought seperately, I like it because I am lactose intolerant so I can heat my lactose free milk in the microwave for my coffee and hot chocolate. The milk frother that came with it is really handy aswell. It warms and froths the milk really well for a cup of coffee. I will say though that I am finding it leaves a layer of burnt milk on the bottom of the mug which can make it take that little bit longer to clean than just rinsing it out to make your next coffee.

I havent done my research, but it would be nice to have a milk frother than can heat and froth milk for 2 drinks at the same time. Saying all of that these are only small things that i have picked out and wouldnt stop me using the machine at all How simple it is to use. The quality of the coffee is amazing

over Nespresso was because Map had the hot chocolate pods.

I can't say I really love the hot chocolate the Map makes, and if the kids or I want a hot chocolate we no longer use the Map to make it. But primarily it's a coffee machine and I can't fault the coffee at all. I find the temperature nice and hot - I drink my coffee white, so while the machine is warming up I heat up the milk in my coffee cup in the microwave, by which time the Map is ready to go.

It's simple to clean, although you do have to empty out the tray regularly or it does become very smelly.

Guests always compliment the coffee, even the ones who own other brands of pod machines.

My only gripe would be that it can seem quite noisy, especially first thing in the morning! Nice smooth coffee, easy to use, good value for money. Bit noisy.

Also i dont like the fact it stays on for an entire hour before going into power saving mode. Auto turn off after 15 mins is ample. I love great coffee, but hate the fiddling involved with manual coffee machines. Bella delivers the same quality of coffee as a high-end fully automatic coffee machine, with only slightly more work (you have to put the capsule in and press the button, and you have to use the milk frother which is still very easy).

I love the Map Portofino capsules, and the hot chocolate! easy to use, stylish, compact, easy to buy capsules locally, great coffee capsules often don't "drop out" themselves (only a minor problem, a little poke with a finger is all they need)
