the name Mark’s Curtain Cleaning. When this was raised and a refund requested, the response was dismissive and unhelpful.

There has been no meaningful attempt to resolve the issue or refund the money — only a one-word reply of “noted” to a formal demand.

Based on our experience: • Poor quality workmanship • Questionable business practices • No accountability or customer service

We are now pursuing the matter through formal consumer and legal channels. I would strongly recommend choosing a business that is transparent, professional, and willing to stand behind its work.

Folks, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THIS SERVICE. He incorrectly used carpet steam cleaning equipment to try and clean my good quality curtains with basically no visible effect. and the curtains were in a heap on the floor. He did a panicked botched repair drilling through the holding rail (!) without explaining or owning up to anything. He blamed the 'dusty old curtains & clip' instead. He wouldn't admit to ripping the stitching and the 5 tears down AN inside edge once eventually rehung. I DO know what my own curtains had looked like for 28 years prior to this . The curtains can't be drawn fully closed now and are not properly supported as a result of all this mayhem. The contempt shown and dishonesty were just 'all in a days work' for this fellow. I've photographed the damage and now have to pay for it to be repaired. GOOD ADVICE - if you want your curtains cleaned properly have them taken down, taken away and rehung by an established professional business that does just that. the job the took him less than two hours. I eventually paid him half his fee just to get him out of my house. Hands down the worst experience we've had with any person coming into our home to do work.

Avoid them like the plague ! – Made a HUGE MESS of our curtains ! We need them totally replaced, they cannot be trusted with your furnishings. hour away and could not inspect the work. In good faith I advised that I would pay half ($250) and send a screen shot of the receipt – which I did. I told the worker that I would transfer the remaining $250 when I got home to inspect the work and that they would have full payment by the end of the day. What happened next: The worker harrassed my my sick father in my absence and demanded the remaining payment, which my father reluctantly gave him cash. The worker did not contact me or advise me in any way that he now had full payment. The fact that the worker did not contact me or advise me in any way that he had full payment is incredibly deceitful.

When I arrived home, I inspected the work and was unaware that my father had paid the worker $250 cash. I then transferred a further $250 to their account (making the total they now received for the job $750). I sent a screen shot to the worker of MY 2nd payment and he did not reply to my countless calls and text messages.

I had to hassle these guys for over a month with letters of demand to get my money back and ended up going through my bank.

BE WARNED.

Live chat couldnt be bothered to answer a question and then disconnected – Looked at their website, looked good, live chat popped up, we had a conversation back and forth and when i asked for a price they never responded and then disconnected. Rude!

Ridiculous pricing and charges. Horrible phone service when bill is questioned – Called them to remove mould from two folding curtains. Quoted $120 per side "plus treatment" . Operator cleaned, gave couple of squirts from an unmarked bottle, handed a bill for $1200.

Beautiful drapes returned 70mm short and crumpled – A quote was given prior to appt to collect 2 sets curtains and pelmets. windows 2.1m x 1.6m wide. Then we were advised that a callout fee applies, for which we were never quoted. So we called the office who then called the serviceman who said they would do for the price quoted. Pelmets were to be done insitu. 2 weeks later curtains returned in the most crumpled state. The pelmets were steam cleaned after a dalek was brought in on the ground floor of our building, with hoses that had to be brought upstairs and across king beds in 2 bedrooms with water dripping down our walls and windows and 2 power points needed. I asked if the curtains would be steamed to get the wrinkles out but was told that they would straighten out after a couple of weeks and the 70mm shrinkage would not appear to be as bad. However don't think the pleats will return or the curtains will reach the floor again. Obviously we will not use this service again in Perth and we will regret this every day when we draw the curtains.

After the service (one stain was not able to be removed anyway), it turns out it was $40 PER CURTAIN. This was NOT clearly explained to me as I would not agreed to have paid an extra $80. I ended up paying $260 and one curtain is not even fully void of stains.

I called to make a complaint before I wrote a review, to give them the chance to rectify, and the employee I spoke to did not even apologize, and sounded pretty disinterested. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE it is a complete rip off, unprofessional and unreliable.
