The worst company I have to deal with – The worst company I have to deal with in terms of my rental property. I have been forced to go with Metered Energy for my unit from my body corporate and facing solar feed in tariff issue since last 8 months. My unit suddenly got non compliant… Read more
and they put me on normal plan instead of solar plan blaming Energex issue non compliant notice.
As an energy retailer, if I would be with origin or any other normal retailer, they would have resolved this issue by themselves and provided best customer experience.
In my case, Metered energy is saying to raise ENERGEX APPLICATION WITH METERED ENERGY AS A CUSTOMER WITH THEIR CONTACT DETAILS. Haha, this is a joke. They are completely avoiding their responsibilities and asking me to do their work.
I would give -10 stars if I can and doesn’t recommend this company at all.

Highest rates in the business - literal robbers – Can confirm these prices are robbery. They have a monopoly on the complex I live in. 2 person household costing us $350 a MONTH! I don't understand how they're getting away with it, AVOID AT ALL COST. Show details

Staff have been so helpful and have saved me a lot of stress – After leaving a DV relationship and my ex not paying the power after I left the residence, I found my credit file had a mark against it. When I found this out (by being declined credit) I contacted Metered Energy immediately and they helped me through the process to have my name cleared. Show details
Amazing customer service, very professional – Ran into some issues paying my bill due to being sick for 2 weeks without work. Called them up, and was able to pay half the bill. Without any judgement or rudeness at all, they were more than happy to allow me to pay the remaining amount next fortnight without any issue. Not happy... breach of confidentiality – Not happy when I recieved letter with my name someone else's address. Had no response from my complaint.. service fee charge going up to 1.30 a day. Extremely poor billing team – The billings collection team at Metered Energy are unhelpful and you cant move to another provider if your premises has their meter. Will need to pay to get a new meter with another provider and still wont be able to move the heated water. Almost like a monopoly if your building complex has the metered energy system embedded. I hate this company – Needs to be investigated for their shady practices they are set up well so they can just do as they please charge you what they like. And harassment from this company is ongoing. They start the games once you owe them 30 dollers. away from my townhouse 12hours/ day for the majority of the time due to work commitments paying approx $500 a quarter. When I went through a range of actions I had taken to my reduce costs which no change to my my electricity bill It was SUGGESTED to me it COULD be my hot water system They have no interest in helping anyone except the building management when setting up the system to rip anyone who is a renter Building management don’t care either

Don not rent if these guys are in bed with your house/unit/apartment – #1 - Ask your real estate before inspecting. Is this property on an integrated network or am I free to choose my own providers without difficulty etc... RENT /BUY if metered are involved. Sure electricity may be ok priced but they change all the time and charge other exorbitant charges that are wayyyy beyond actual cost. #3- DO your Research. Google product reviews etc. and sort by lowest or negative and read just how numerous the issues are with this company. #4- Be prepared to walk away if your renting. If your buying dont be afraid to call other suppliers and ask them if they can get you OUT of your integrated network. Its not as difficult as ME make it out to be.

saying im using in excess of 23 kw a day??? which is $300 a month $900 a quarter???? when we requested a meter reading they came back with its working correctly. metered energy YOU GUYS are freakin shady as hell sending out bills monthly so everyone has to pay extra service fees too! isnt that the purpose of signing complexs up so that service fees are waived?? you are running a dirty business I hope you guys get blown up on A Current Affair.
Dont Ever ever ever move into a house where you are required to use metered energy ... because the complex has signed their 10year contract! NEVER DO IT!! who the hell signs a 10year contract! nobody smart thats for sure.
Just wanted to update my review so it can sit at the recent reviews recorded for this company. I am no longer a customer thank Frik I had to cancel my rental and move out due to being charged $900 a Quarter in a motel style room and my family having to cover my bill as it sent me broke and homeless in the end. I just read some reviews how this company tried to downplay and gaslight customers telling the exact same experience to me as part of a locked in apartment complex. and I just wanted to refresh the reminder to anybody wondering about these criminals. Do not just disregard these bad reviews thinking it will be fine and its just a one off it is not worth it, some complex's are fine because they start out fine and as the locked in 10 year contract goes on they turn their criminal behaviour on and triple your prices that you will have to then move out of your home if you don't have a sufficient income to pay triple the price for electricity. Its so gross Look at all the lowest reviews they are extremely consistent in story. Thanks your welcome just avoid period.

The Ombudsman doesn't regulate this company!! No protection for the consumer during disputes – There is no protection for the consumer with this company around disputes. The ombudsman referred me to the Australian Energy Regulator who were unable to assist with dispute resolution. circumstances....I was sent an invoice for hot water supply at a rental property during a period (Apr - June 2021) I wasn't living at the property. I'd been a good customer paying 99% of my bills on time. I phoned MEH customer service and they requested evidence of my tenancy ending which I provided direct from my real estate. I was sure I'd notified them but they insisted I hadn't. A new tenant moved in at the end of April and I'm sure would have had to sign up with MEH as I was told I had no choice when I moved in so MEH are being paid twice. MEH response was that they couldn't delete invoices already issued by their accounts system. They ignored all evidence provided and responded by emailing me a credit default notice and threatening my credit rating if I didn't pay up. They wouldn't negotiate to only charge for supply. I've paid my account as it was obvious no one could help me on this occasion. A new tenant moved

They don’t deserve 1 star. stay away from any building that is associated – I had powered through my building at Madison heights. Worst experience ever. Stay away if possible. The worst company in Australia – I’d give 0 stars if I could. Hands down the most overpriced energy in Australia. $1200 a quarter for 2 people in a 2 bedroom unit that are rarely home, we were charged $350 a month for just the two of us. Don’t even bother! – Got to be the WORST power provider I have ever come across. Unfortunately this was an embedded network for our building. $278 a month for 2 people in a 2 bdrm unit. Disgusting! Stay Clear Overpriced And Terrible – Overpriced, never get bills properly delivered, harass you, cant switch to another provider because body corporate done an embedded network deal with them, Honestly if I could I would dig my own trench to connect to enegex network to find a better deal.
