responded by stating the power supply provided with the item wasn't sufficient and to use something else. What rubbish I think they are having a laugh, this is absurd and regardless the unit doesn't work. I have asked repeatedly for the return address and they won't provide return details and have not responded to my request for a replacement. Money wasted!

Money stolen from loyal customers! – Purchased furniture in late February 2020- making a deposit of $808.00. Agreed to wait a month for the 8 chairs to arrive. The company has been bought out by someone else. They keep stalling by refusing to refund our deposit. The order for our chairs has been cancelled. legs connected for both of the tables was extremely difficult. They would get stuck and it was impossible for me to push them down on my own. I then called the customer service line to ask for help and spoke to someone. When I explained that there may be something faulty with the legs not fitting on properly - he advised that I should fill in the warranty form, take some pictures and send it in - after which they would assess it and let me know next steps. I advised him that we were just around the corner from Christmas and I could not have a half made dining and coffee table just hanging around in my living room while they assessed my issue and decided how to proceed. Even if it was decided that the tables should be picked up and returned, it could take a couple of weeks for all of that to happen. When I said this, instead of being sympathetic to my issue and providing me with some customer service solution, the person I spoke to was extremely rude. He responded with "Well, what do you think we should do about it? Give us a better solution if you have one. Sometimes things are faulty - nothing we can do about it." When I suggested dropping it off at the showroom, he responded with, "Well, what are they going to do about it? They're just a showroom". In the end he agreed that it was ok for me to drop it at the showroom.

Given how heavy the glass is, and how much effort it would be for me to take it back to the showroom, I decided to call in a carpenter to fix the tables myself. The carpenter was able to more or less put the tables together but even he remarked how difficult it was and that it would have been impossible for me to do it myself.

I would never ever recommend Matt Blatt to anyone.

Buyer beware – Was told a week ago that the sale specials would finish next day- still going. Dont buy unless absolutely sure- T&C misleading. You will not get a refund unless goods are faulty, and you are responsible for arranging and funding return to Sydney warehouse in return for a credit note. I will not shop here again Show details

Excellent customer service – I ordered the Klaus desk through the Fitzroy store and it arrived very promptly. No thanks to my clumsiness, I managed to damage the legs of the desk whilst assembling the item - I reached out to Joshua from the store who went above and beyond to get me a set of replacement legs under warranty. Richmond shop to see if they would be more helpful but the lady responded to me in an aggravated manner, saying the shop was understaffed and she couldn't help me until the end of the day. This is extremely disappointing and would like an answer as to where my couch is and when it will be delivered to my apartment.

customer service from them. They are friendly, not pushy, and accommodating. Manager gave us a voucher to entice us and help us cross the line with the purchase. A lot of products are wood, skin / fur product hence there are some variations one has to expect. That worked against us one time where the furry cushion we bought appeared very flat. The shop readily took it back and offered to order another one in and let us inspect before taking it. Given it is not a bargain store, we did expect quality and service. Still, we really were delighted by their service.

More recently, we purchased a few furnitures from MB Blackburn and the experience was so great that I have just pushed my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Sofie, the assistant manager, was so nice to let me know an item I have been eyeing on for quite a while was going on sale which helped me to save a significant amount of money. The store manager Lisa loaned us and even promised to personally deliver us an item so we can test it out in our home. May be I expect too little, I was completely blown away by her generosity and how accomodating they are to the point that I decided to just buy the item. Yep, you guessed it, she delivered it!

For that, we say thank you MB and we are happy returning customers, more like frequent returning customers.

Excellent service 'above and beyond' – Excellent in-store service from Jono at the Richmond store, followed by really exceptional care and attention to detail in the assembly of our Oxley wardrobe by Jesse and Jono. A confusion about how much assembly would be required by the customer was rectified with prompt, professional, no questions asked service, with Jesse taking great care to ensure the wardrobe was perfectly assembled. Shopped at Fitzroy showroom 5 STAR – My wife and I bought A sofa and armchair from the Fitzroy showroom. The whole process was really fun, the team were very helpful. Special mention to Joshua who went above and beyond in getting the sofa to our home and up the difficult staircase. Will be back for a dining table soon

However I sucked it up and thought, 'well at least I won't have to carry it up the stairs or assemble it when it arrives'. Nup. A single delivery man showed up at the door and he wasn't going to be able to carry it up himself so I offered my assistance. Conveniently, after the last box had been taken up a second delivery man came to the door with the paperwork to sign.

Not only was there no offer to assemble it, one of the delivery men said that he could not take with him the large wooden crate that one of the boxes was delivered in.

An all round terrible experience.

O star! Horrible customer service--Melbourne – I bought 3 beds and one table in Oakleigh store, and I asked for delivery and assembling service. However, the delivery was arrived at 5.30pm, and they just deliver one table and leave. when I asked for the beds, the drivers said they only got one table delivery note and told us to call customer service. Their customer service was already off work!!

Then 2 days later they delivery 3 beds but without assembling,and the driver said he didn't get any payment for assembling and told us to call customer service. Called customer service and store, given me two different explanation: the store manager apologized for their mistakes, and said the drivers were supposed to assemble our products, and someone would contact us for assembling soon; while the customer service said the drivers were not responsible for assembling, they would arrange someone else to assemble our products. However, no one contacted me until I called them again 2 days later. Finally, talked to some one who was assigned to assemble our products, but told us they earliest available day is in 3 days!!! And they still can not confirm the exact arrival time, just require us to stay at home and wait them on that day.

Now, I have to stay at a house without beds for another 3 days!!!!

I wish I would read reviews before purchasing. Extremely disappointed & would not recommend to anyone.

No instructions! Lied to us about product not being on sale when it was!! – Made purchase in store. Don't bother pre-ordering! – We went in-store on May 1 to order 8 dining chairs that had an expected delivery time of "end of June" - That's perfect timing for us as we're moving into our new home them. any updates and had to contact them ourselves to know that there was a delay but obliged as we thought we'd waited this long ..another month couldn't hurt.

Major regrets as we diligently contacted them "Early August" to be provided an exact date of Aug 17 for chairs to arrive; as such 1 week to Aug 17 decided to make contact to make final payment and found out there was ANOTHER delay until end of August.

For chairs that aren't custom made and are just put in shipping containers to get to Melbourne, it's ridiculous that waiting times for dining chairs were going to be 4 months IF it were to even arrive at the end of August.

Luckily we got a refund and sourced THE SAME chairs from a different company and it was delivered within 1 week AS PLANNED!

Extremely disappointed & would not recommend to anyone. It has deterred me from even buying anything instore based on our awful experience!

What! customer Service? – Disappointing, such a joke of a company, don't waste your time! You have to take a gamble to buy products online as they don't have a lot of display in store pay $70 freight as you can't collect and if you don't like the product return it yep that is right for another $70! Thanks Milan it now costs your customers $140 just to shop at your unprofessional store and that's if you don't buy!

Matt Blatt Lighting – We bought 3 different lights from Matt Blatt for our renovation back at the start of this year: 2x Replica Xavier Lust Pleat box pendant lights in duck egg blue 2x Replica Poul Henningsen PH3/2 Pendant Lamp Small, and 1x Replica Poul Henningsen PH4 1/2 Pendant Lamp The pleat box lights are gorgeous - and look great in. to hold the pendant at the position you desire is flimsy and our electrician had concerns over it being suitable or even appropriate. He even called Standards Australia over it - however SA apparently consider this to be the bare minimum standard. It was extremely challenging and difficult to install them so that the ceiling attachment would actually sit flat against the ceiling. And that's where the good part of this review ends.

The other two type of lights are flawed in just about every way - the glass is incredibly brittle and easy to break - the PH4 1/2 pendant lamp arrived broken in pieces, which was replaced by Matt Blatt on request. However the glass in the replacement lamp (whilst it didn't have any broken pieces) was riddled with fine cracks - to the point where both us and our electrician chose not to install it for fear it would break under the strain of its own weight. I contacted Matt Blatt twice via email to find out about returning the clearly faulty product, but received no response on both occasions. We ended up throwing it in the skip as we had unfortunately passed the 7 day return period (which only applies to lighting, of course).

The PH 3/4 light wasn't much better - I broke one of the glass components when attempting to construct the lamp (this and the PH 1/2 come in pieces) and couldn't buy a replacement part - just the full light fitting. The three wires that attach to the ceiling fitting had incredibly poor quality connections so it was impossible to have all three wires actually taught when the lamp was hung. It looks rather lousy. The smallest glass piece in the centre is so precariously hung from the pendant's connections that one small knock and it would come crashing to the ground - breaking into a million small, dangerous glass pieces. Ask me how I know.

All in all - this experience has meant that we will never be walking into a Matt Blatt shop again - the quality of their products in 2 of 3 cases is just unacceptable - the 3rd case only just being ok. The design components are also not well thought out. An expensive mistake by us - don't go there!
