Compact and comfortable – Really great car seat. It’s compact and cosy, keeping my newborn nice and snug in the infant insert, but still plenty of room now that baby is bigger and we’ve removed the extra padding. to get baby in and out and then remember to tighten it again. The only thing that would make this better is if maxi cosi offered their isofix options in Australia. When we replace the spare car seat with one of our own, we are genuinely considering another brand because isofix is so much simpler to use.

There is only one thing I’m not happy with. The leg buckle padding doesn’t stay in place. Every-time I would lift my child out, the padding would come out. Very annoying.

Less faffing about – So easy to get bub in and out of without faffing because the anchor strap out of the way. Easy to tighten and loosen the harness - especially good for our bub who doesn’t love a car trip. Great – Positive Installation easy. It stays in one car. Thinking of getting another for the other car assists with getting baby in safely with the tether design assisting with my current back issues. Would buy again in a heartbeat – I’m so impressed with the Pria G-cell. The SMART guide is an absolute game changer. I was tossing up between this and the Britax Graphene and I’m so glad I went for the Pria G-cell. My daughter is super comfortable. Great car seat for first child with a small car – We bought the Maxi-Cosi Pria G-Cell for our first child to fit in my smaller car (VW T-Cross) as it is compact enough to not compromise the passenger seat in rear facing position (and we are both tall people). We have been extremely happy with the purchase and love that the tether is able to be hooked under so that it is easy to get our baby in and out without having to navigate around it. Best car seat – Extremely easy to use. We share the car seat between 2 cars at the moment and it’s so easy to switch between. The set up is secure and quick. Very comfy seat with lots of padding that can be removed easily for cleaning. Also has newborn insert that can easily be removed when no longer needed. Fantastic car seat. Would highly recommend – One of my favourite features about this car seat is it doesn’t have the extra strap on the side like most other car seat which makes it much easier to get baby in and out and one less thing to worry about. Good quality, comfortable car seat – Our baby loves the car and this Pria G-cell provides a very comfortable seat for her. Easily remove inserts to wash. Comfortable & compact – My baby grew out of his capsule really quickly (for the next one I’ll be getting a seat right away and skipping the capsule) and this seat was much more comfortable and he’s been so much happier. changer as this had been so annoying on the capsule, this also means it remains fully taut at all times. The only thing that would be an improvement is the seatbelt cushion that goes between the legs would be good to have something to hold it in the seat, we didn’t realise he had it between his his legs and thankfully rescued it a couple of times before remembering to move his legs as well as arms before taking him out. Overall great seat.

Initially happy customer but – *Update - 9/12/24* Since posting my initial review approximately 7months ago, I have some things I wanted to add that I've discovered through user experience. twice now and when putting it back on this past few days I've noticed that the material is very pilled and has multiple Snags and pulls in the fabric. I am disappointed because we are very careful and take care of our things but ultimately this is a childrens carseat and will be used daily at the least and it's just not holding up to that daily use. I foresee I would need to replace the covers in due course. Also I really need to point out just how incredibly difficult this seat is to reinstall the covers onto. It took my husband and I close to 2hrs to put the covers back on the whole seat which is just absolutely unbelievable and honestly was so stressful, I have also had multiple other people tell me it takes them hours to reinstall the covers so it's a common issue with this seat. Additionally I find it really poorly designed that there are long "wings" which extend down from the head rest cover area and side covers down into the actual base of the seat area and consequently our toddler had a toilet accident and thus soaked through literally every connected component and meant that for a simple urine leak I needed to remove and launder the head rest cover which to me seems senseless. Ultimately this seat is still structurally good, however I do find my toddler gets chin to chest when he does occasionally fall asleep in the carseat regardless of fit checking and adjustments and given the issues I've outlined in this update I absolutely would not repurchase this seat or purchase a second one. For the price of this seat there are a lot of areas for improvement and hopefully maxi cosi can start to take some of these issues into consideration with future seat development and design. ***

I chose this seat after we had a car accident and I previously had a britax graphene seat which was okay but I felt like I wanted a change. I chose the pria as it was very well regarded and I liked the idea of the smart tether guide to help with preventing both forgetting to tighten the tether again before driving as well as just being more convenient. My 19month old seems comfortable in the seat and there seems to be more room behind the front seat which is a bonus as we have a small car. The smart tether is fantastic and I can’t fault the ease of install for this seat. I like the additional recline options which will be fabulous for a newborn and I intend to purchase a 2nd pria for our next baby when the time comes do to how easy the seats are to use. I have found the fabric to be very very sensitive to things catching on it, for example my son wears Velcro strap shoes and these have already caused multiple pulls in the fabric of the seat which is a shame as this wasn’t an issue in our previous seat and this seat is much more costly so I would have expected more longevity for the fabric. This doesn’t affect the use, it just is an aesthetic issue. Overall this seat is a great choice and I feel happy with my decision to purchase it.

Fabulous easy use baby seat – I bought this seat as a Grandma looking for a good quality, safe extended rear facing seat for my Granddaughter. Because it’s only used occasionally I have had to install and uninstall the seat several times. It is so easy to do and each time I am able to get a really solid good fit with minimal fuss. Easy to get our passenger in and out – Having used the Maxi-Cosi Pria G-Cell seat for 6 months now, I can gladly say I love the product. It's easy to install and remove as needed. The belt running from the top of the rear facing seat along the side of the seat and then over the car's chair makes it super easy to get our passenger in and out of the seat - much easier than other rear facing seats I've used previously.
