could not honour their promise, I wanted my deposit refunded.

They refused and kept my full deposit, despite no materials being delivered and no work or expenses incurred.

I was told this was allowed under Australian law. Even if that is the case, I do not believe it is ethical business practice.

As a pensioner, $2,000 is a significant amount of money. This experience raises serious concerns about how issues are handled once they have your money.

Very disappointing and stressful experience.

I had new carpet placed in my 2 bedrooms and am exceptionally pleased with it. The installers were very helpful,and knowledgeable to my questions and did a thoroughly great job. "inferior quality". Seems like the code/rug comes from the same distributor. Shouldve trusted my instincts. It was a scam talk and delivery was 3 weeks, while we chose to go through them because it would take 3-5 days (bought on Sunday, no public holidays). Dud deliver good customer service until $ was in bank. I wont be buying there again (spent over $1000). If you do, I recommend paying a deposit and paying the rest when available to deliver. Im sure this way, customer service will be prompt with easy deliveries!

Empty promises – Found the flooring we wanted after we made that hard decision. We were excited Was told that they had truckload of the product and will be hear in 2 to 3 days from the warehouse. So organised builder to start next week to be told the next day that there is a 7 week wait. They bloody lied through there teeth to make a sale. Extremely disappointed by Casula Store – I went to Mayne and Rugs Casula (Crossroad store) for my laminating timber installation on September 2020. They did very bad installation; already a big gap between my timber joint which u can see easily. Most of the floors begin to feel spongy, springy or bouncy, I notice the floorboards around shifting when I walk on. They ruined my dream home. So definitely not recommended. Show details

Extremely Happy with quality of carpet and price – Mayne Rugs and Flooring Tuggerah installed carpet in 8 rooms at my property the carpet was really high quality and price was extremely competitive. The owner was especially helpful coming out to the property a few times with samples as I was undecided. Installers were quick and had an eye for detail. upset about this and would not recommend them under any circumstances. I am left with a $199 rug for which I have no use and no recourse as they are refusing to communicate. There is also no phone contact which makes things even more difficult. The local shop is also unable to help as the online shop is a different business.

Worst customer service – Utterly disappointed as I felt scammed by the store. Wish I checked reviews for them before going into their store. first thing in the morning when the store reopened to let them know I would like to come and return the rug as it was not the correct size. The lady says she can order us a smaller rug which at that time I thought was not a bad idea. Then I asked her will you be able to refund us the cost difference and she shocks me saying that they do not do any sort of refund and it is mentioned inside their store and on our invoice. I checked my invoice and the wordings say no refunds on change of mind, so I asked her how is the size not fitting change of mind and that all stores do returns and this is literally overnight that I was returning the rug. She said it is company policy and she will ring me back on smaller rug size details. This was the start to my disappointment so I started looking online for what is the next size down for the same rug. To my shock I see the largest rug they had on display on SALE sized 240 x 330 was half the price compared to what I bought my smaller rug for. This part of price difference I was ready to ignore as physical shops have their own expenses but it was still a shock how high their markups were. Called again next day and they informed me that the smaller size rug is available and can be provided to me within a week but price remains the same as my bigger rug. I cannot believe the audacity of the store lady when I said I was disappointed and no store that I have been to says no refund without informing the consumer prior to payment. For that her justification was that the store has it written somewhere so I am to blame I did not read it. Also according to her she gave me a solution so we are not in a position to blame them for not giving a refund. One thing that particularly picked my attention when I said I will have no other option but to report them to ACCC she says I am not the first one threatening them. This clearly shows how pathetic their customer service and fraudulent they are. The below negative reviews are the only true reviews about them. Hope no one gets scammed as their rugs are overpriced anyways.

Amazing Rug, amazing price amazing service – I recently went to the Tuggerah store on recommendation from my parents who had bought some lovely rugs from there. Rug quality I bought is amazing, the staff were friendly and helpful and even offered to deliver my rug for free to Sydney where I live. The rugs were so reasonably priced too. So happy with my purchase.

Worst Customer Service – We purchased timber flooring and had it installed around 9 months ago. We had major problems with buckling - contacted the store at Castle Hill - nobody cared, nobody followed up, nobody ever returned calls. Would never go back to this store for anything!
