regarding the appropriateness of the inclusion of BSBSTR401 in this course. Mentors Michelle and Rachel were very understanding and supportive of my criticism of this 21 assessment, 6 role play unit, at this level, and were quick to notify the enrolment team of my concerns. The teaching materials and course content were helpful, with the course overall being well structured. Of particular help were the HINTS and templates included in materials. I would strongly recommend MCI to anyone wishing to gain a qualification of quality preparing them for the skills and knowledge required in today's competitive workforce.

holiday, Michelle stepped in and gave the same fantastic support. There was alot of information to read through with options for further reading via websites. I think this will help in the future, in knowing where to find the information for work situations. Prioritising time for study was my biggest mountain. My second was over thinking the questions. This is the first online course I have actually finished. I think the difference was in having a dedicated mentor and access to other mentors if Mila was not available. Having a human contact was a huge bonus, and the tipping point in making the decision to enrol with MCI.

This is not educational at all, just a box-ticking exercise – When you enter the course, there are two streams: core and practical. On their website, it says: "It is very important that you complete all of the Core Assignment questions BEFORE you attempt the Practical Assignments below." Then I was told NONE of my work would be marked until I did the practical assignments that I was told not to do. So, none… Read more

of my work would ever be marked. The communication from MCI is all auto-generated. For instance, when you complete some work, you get a text congratulation you -- the same cut & pasted text every time -- but you can't text them back.

I used to get calls from them and they'd leave a message asking me to call them back. WHen I called them back, they asked me how it's going, just like you'd ask a friend you meet in the street. I never once got the feeling they cared how it was going or if I was learning anything. I asked after one of these calls, why have none of my submissions been graded. The guy didn't know but got someone to call me. That person's answer didn't leave me feeling like anyone was going to do anything. She said all their work is reactive, which I took to mean that they don't really do anything there unless we call and tell them to. I have never in my life been in an educational setting where they didn't even give a cursory glance at your work to make sure you're doing it right.

Then I get a message one day that told me I should finish the course sooner rather than late so that if my work was unsatisfactory, I'd have time to do it right.

As for the course itself, they printed off some PDF files that we are supposed to copy from to complete the assignments, but the PDF files are really inadequate. For example, they obviously wrote them a long time, so one of them refers to the 2016 census rather than the 2021 census. Another example is where they use UK data trends rather than Australian data trends.

The whole thing feels like a money grab where they do as little as possible and just churn out auto-texts every now and then so it looks like human beings are involved in educating us.

The support is amazing, My Mentors went up and above to support me during my studies. The course had all the information needed and the website easy to navigate. Show reply

The mentors assigned to me were very helpful, Morgan & Mila, you both were quick to assist me and the course itself was very informative. Exclusive, unprofessional, not helpful – I've been doing a certificate IV with MCI for years now. When I signed up, they said I could extend if I needed to, so I purchased the course. I found out I was having a baby, and needed to extend many times. They conveniently failed to tell me that it costs $250 per month to extend. Unfortunately, the government updated requirements for this certification, so they changed the format of the course, which was more difficult, but not their fault.

On top of this, I've had about 7 different mentors throughout this gruelling, expensive experience. Some take weeks to reply to questions I have about the content (whilst still paying $250 per month to extend).

A course which was supposed to be $2800 has now cost me near $8000.

If I could go back, I would never have signed up with them. It makes me very sad and angry thinking that all that money could have been spent on my rent.

A very good option for people who can only commit to online studies. I completed the Cert III in warehousing and logistics which was very helpful for my work. of the units were doubling up on subjects. I was hoping for a bit more in-depth coverage on certain bookkeeping/accounting subjects and found there was for my liking too much on legal topics. Overall, I didn't find it too difficult, but spend more time on it as originally suggested.
