I placed an order for stock for my business and after the delivery date went by I emailed Mearth to find out what was going on. After several attempts they finally replied stating that they had had an issue in production and that the shipment would be another 2 months. I replied that I could not work with this and asked for a refund. This was over… Read more
12 months ago now and I still have no refund or any stock delivered. They have stolen my $2500 and will not answer phone calls, emails or any other for of communication and offer any kind of solution.
If anyone is trying to get customer support from mearth forget about it ,I've been trying to get in contact with them for the last week wrote countless emails and still to this day no response can tell u they are a joke will not be buying anything… Read more
from them again it was just a spare tube for my sons mearth scooter should have been simple if they can't organise a tube I guess a complex part must be impossible !

Do not buy a Mearth scooter. I was given three scooter repair shops to bring my son's scooter to, none of them exist. Random addresses with empty land, no building. Random phone numbers, confused people answering their phones. I bought Mearth thinking "Australian made" and therefore good customer service, wrong. Gangsters who should be treated as such.
Have ordered tubes and have received no contact and no products . Numerous emails and messages to social media with no replies . This seems to be quite common
City scooters – Brought 2 city scooters. They arrived quickly and both scooters are perfect. Customer service was also outstanding. I would use again without a problem.
Mearth s E scooter – Very good and quick service from the seller. The charger stopped working after 3 months. They replaced it with in 3 days. Very good and easy to ride the scooter. Battery last for 12 km on full speed mode 24 to 25 km/h. Good stoping power and very smooth ride. Show details
Don't buy – Scooter broke down, shipped from nth qld to mearth, told us wouldn't honour warranty because we had been going off road, absolute rubbish never been off road, harvey norman to their credit paid to have the scooter fixed and shipped back but took over 3 months. UNLESS YOU LIVE NEAR MEARTH DONT BUY
No service what so ever – You can’t complain about the service, because there is none. My son and I have emailed, called a bogus mobile number we found on line and no response. The brakes need attention - the scooter has had little use to experience little traction when braking. After speaking to friends they experienced the same issue… Don’t waste your money! I only wished I looked at reviews before purchasing.
All talk no performance – Purchased 3 scooters - 2 x Mearth GTS and 1 x S Pro. They look great and worked well for a week…. Both GTS have battery faults that they won’t replace under warranty, one scooter has done just 20km! The other maybe 200km. We sucked it up to buy a new battery - another $700 (per battery) paid upfront and has been on back order since August. We… Read more
keep following up and get poor responses, not reading the history all while promoting big sales for Christmas. Once they have your thousands they don’t care.
The S Pro we have repaired/replaced the front inner tube 3 times, seems something wrong with the tyre / set up is making them flat and they just keep telling us to replace the inner tube.
We expected much better from the way the company promotes themselves and the high end price tag.
Don't buy products from this company – I purchased S pro and it got broken down after only twice use. Since first use, the headlight is always on when I turn on my scooter, and I can't turn it off even though I shortly press the function key twice. And all of sudden the throttle has stopped working at all even though fully charged. How come this kind of issue would happen to a brand-new scooter? I contacted the customer support and they ignored my complaint.
Reliable – I own a 15-month-old Mearth S PRO electric scooter. The motors started having issues, so I reached out to Customer Support. They told me the motor replacement would cost $200. I think the motor warranty should be longer considering the scooter's price, but at least I can find parts in Australia unlike my Eglide Swift, which has been sitting in my… Read more
garage for 6 months because I couldn't find any parts. Despite these issues, I still give Mearth a 5-star rating for being a reliable company.
Awesome Cyber – I purchased a Mearth Cyber from my local store, and I'm speechless. It's simply awesome! It offers great value for the money. Compared to my previous Kaabo scooter, the Cyber's specifications are superior, yet the price of the Cyber is significantly lower. Kudos to Mearth for the added power!

dishonest and dodgy product – stay well clear from this cowboy brand. They pretend to be australian make but were actually designed and made in China. Why pretend and lie about this? Customer service almost does not exist. Be careful when you pay them online... they first take your money and then cancel your order bit refund u for less money. They pretend to blame the banks… Read more
for taking my money and blamed the bank for rating my purchase as fraud. Mearth made the story up as my bank verified the bank never did that. U know what? despite Mearth rating me as "fraud" they told me that if i am still interested in buying, i should transfer my money directly to their bank account. Obviously i did not do that as this sounded really dubious.... stay away from these guys. Cannot trust them.
Product severely sub standard – Scooter internal battery removed stolen during service previously. Service unavailable at company due to discontinuation of model, my scooter was held at the company for more than 3 months without communication after sending it in for service and repairs. Calls not answered or returned majority of the time company claims scooter was returned to me… Read more
at a time. 99% of problems reported not tended scooter returned as sent without service/repairs. Money and time wasted. I was threatened to be charged for storage after I established and disproved that they still have my scooter. No room to write my experience here.
Mearth Pro S – I've owned a mearth pro S for last two years... I've calculated I've done about 5000km on it I would highly recommend this product.. Good range and a very versatile product I've found the best part is you can actually get parts from them directly. As for the comments and poor scores about this product below .. if you cant change a tyer and… Read more
adjust the brakes and tighten a screw you probably shouldn't own a scooter. Push bike or anything that requires a little common sense
Tried to swindle me out of $7k! – We spent over $7k through a company called scoot city. They emailed us and told us our scooters were out of stock, but would be happy to give us their 'top of the line' mearth scooters. I said I wanted my money back not their crappy mearth scooters. Classic Bait and Switch Technique!! 2 weeks later, no refund! They wouldn't answer our phone calls… Read more
either. And when I did get through to them, I told them I've already been onto the accc. Got some patronising piece called [Name Removed]. So I did some investigations, and what do you know... When I called Mearth, the same [Name Removed] answered! Well, didn't I have a mouthful to give '[Name Removed]'. This company will steal your money, sell you a scooter that doesn't exist, tell you the one you bought is 'out of stock' and then try to give you their poorly built death trap brand, Mearth. I did eventually get my $7k back but it took 19 very long and stressful days. Stay clear of this brand and Scoot City and Mearth companies. Or any company that sells their crap for that matter.
What a disappointing product – We purchased a Mearth Pro a year ago. Sounded fantastic value, good spec's , good range , and disc brakes. Not quite what we expected. Range is good ! Handlebars hinge has snapped 3 times in a year. 2nd time my son fell off onto the side of the footpath avoiding serious injury. 2nd time had top pay $250 to send goods from Perth to NSW. Also they… Read more
said brakes need repair $80. We did pay and still wouldn't stop the scooter when it came back. Brakes have never been good. Had brakes repaired on 2nd breakage visit and came back unable to stop the bike. Saying breaks need repair on 3rd visit.
After 3 breaks with same hinge system they still refuse to refund our money saying "we have had an accident on it". Accident was caused from std use and a poor design matched with poor build quality and son crashing on scooter after handlebars fell back. They are happy to fix the 3rd time.
I wont allow my son to ride it again. A bad accident may happen if it breaks again. I wouldn't purchase one of these scooters.
Ive asked Dept consumer affairs to make contact and ask for a refund. I did find the support people helpful but think they are overseas and they dont understand Australia and our consumer law. A $1500 scooter should last more than a year.
Horrible scooters and customer service – The scooter is pretty much garbage, I don’t know how they’re allowed to even have these on the market. Brakes are trash, battery doesn’t hold charge. I have also tried to contact mearth and received a email saying I will be contacted within 24 hours, I have no received any form of contact and it has nearly been 2 weeks now. I would not purchase anything from mearth ever again.
My honest experience (What you're getting) (Part 2) – Brief summary of previous post- Bought Mearth S pro April 2022 from Harvey Norman online, with brakes needing to be fully pressed to stop. Oct, 2022, had incidents where I could not stop the Mearth while on cruise mode, where hand brakes would not stop the cruise mode or stop the scooter before busy intersection. By Nov 2022, I was also getting… Read more
battery going from full to no charge, and back to a few bars by Nov. Nov 18, 2022, handed my scooter over to Mearth's Perth repairer, Nick at Perth Electric Scooter Repairs. I repeatedly called and left messages to follow up, but [Name Removed] either did not reply or say he would get to it but never did. And he would never call back, so I was always doing the calling up.
Update: 6 Dec 2022, [Name Removed] finally responded to my repeated follow ups by sms. "I have determined the battery is faulty, and have asked for replacement. I will let you know as soon as it arrives'. (*It took 3weeks of repeated calls from myself for [Name Removed] to even work out it is a battery issue!)
9 Dec 2022, I sms: "It can't just be a battery because pressing the brake lever was not stopping the scooter'.
Mearth sends new battery arriving ETA 21/12. Mearth emails -couriers will need extra 2-3days, ie. ETA 25/12,
2 weeks later...Mon 9 Jan 2023 approx. 9am- After holidays, thinking my scooter would be fixed, no sms, email or call, so I again chase up [Name Removed]. He realises that the battery he himself ordered from Mearth was actually for my mearth S Pro. He said he look at it. by 6pm [Name Removed]- "I have installed new battery and charging it up, once it is charged, I will check brake issue' by 7pm [Name Removed]- 'The charging has stopped and will test on road tomorrow'.
10th Jan- no response. [Name Removed] does not pick up my call or answer my text. 11th Jan-no response, [Name Removed] does not pick up my call or answer my text. *So after 2 months, it has got nowhere with no resolution in sight. I keep Mearth Support in touch.
12 Jan, 2023 SMS from [Name Removed]-"Hi...as you know I placed a new battery in it, charged it up and it worked perfectly. I then went to test ride the following day but it wound not turn on for reasons I do not know why. I spoke to Mearth last night about the problem and they suggested I return scooter to them." 12/1- I text [Name Removed], 'If that is what they (Mearth) said, do so straight away'. *scooter I assume has been sent back to Mearth's Alexandra site. 17/1/23- Mearth Support email: "The retailer also reached out to us. Although refund is being talk over but no decision has been done. We are still waiting for approval and we will let you know'
25/1/2023- Harvey Norman online emailed: "We are very sorry to say that the scooter is not eligible for a full refund due to it being several months old even before any issue happened. We are able to give you a full refund minus a 30% which comes to the amount of $523.60. We will be collecting the scooter from the repair partner so our Technicians may check the scooter and repair it. To compensate for the time waited and for the inconvenience, we will be glade to send you a free Mearth S Pro batter if you are happy to proceed. Please let me know how you would like to continue?"
25/1- I write back that due to it being under the 1year warranty, I am entitled to a full refund. 27/1/23 Harvey Norman Online emails me link to Harvey Norman's refund policy, repeating they are 'able to give a full refund minus a 30% which comes to amount of $523'.
Thinking I had no option, I agree to refund. Then I checked Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, where it says, *a business 'must' give the consumer the choice of a refund or replacement... *a business 'must not deduct an amount from a refund to take into account has had of the product'. *Businesses can’t take away a consumer's right to a refund or replacement for faulty products or services. It’s illegal for businesses to rely on store policies or terms and conditions which deny these rights. For example, policies which say ‘no refunds’ or ‘no refunds or exchanges on sale items’.

I have emailed both Mearth Support and Harvey Norman online, asking for a full refund, because that is what the Law. Will keep you posted. But this is the practice of Harvey Norman Online and Mearth, so far.
Faultly never fixed – Received a faulty scooter that they never fixed the loose joints and and weak frame where the bolts are stronger than the metal in the frame and one bolt thread are shredded in the frame within 5km & missing screw at handle bar with very loose joint on scooter from new. They also didn't fit properly extended battery pack and you could not use it.… Read more
It took them 2 months to collect scooter for repair. They emailed if they cannot fix they will replace scooter. 3 months later scooter returned with the original issues not fixed only batery pack fixed and now with 2 out of 4 bolts missing. With more faults: jerking, beeping noises and then no power issues. 3 weeks later, back to them again and I want all issues fixed before it is dispatched with a written report to confirm its finally fixed before they returned. Report happend 5 months later with no mention if they fixed the original issues. They finally offered refund with 30% restocking fee. Then 3 months later they lost the scooter in their care. Then offered a $300 credit towards purchasing another scooter. Then they offered the refund again on your lost scooter, and still charge a 30% restocking!! Plus bonus $150 freight cost on a warranty job that they never fixed and for them loosing the scooter in their care. Never buy this scooter or anything from them, they won't look after you and they will forget you unless you repeatedly contact them. They have a turn over of staff in my dealings with them. I had to wait for them to catch up on what's going on. Never ever buy Mearth. I have documented proof of everything and will now go to ACCC so no-one else has to experience this disaster I hope.
do not buy!!!! – i have the rs and the max pro, the Rs breaks are sooo noisy, I took it to a shop and they said the disk is bent. This is brand new!! The charger does not work, asked for them to send a new one and they havent after i sent a video it doesnt work,. Customer service is sooooo bad!!!! Show details

10/10 what a scooter – loved it, safe & reliable, good battery life lasts 10 days for me with not outage very good stability wise and tyre grip is the best ive had Show details
The brakes constantly fail. I’m on my 3rd Mearth scooter now. dangerous – When I’m riding the scooter at any random time I push the front brakes and they do not come on.
Price Match by Mearth is just a Gimmick – As stated in Mearth's own website that they do Price Match. When I emailed them the proof, they hv no issue with matching the price but I need to pay for a shipment cost of $400. Instead they recommend me to buy from their online website with free shipment and free nutshell helmet. Is this a joke? I always support Australian company but........
Fast to take payment, never deliver goods ordered – On 14 July I ordered necessary goods from Mearth to repair scooter. All goods were listed as in stock, and to be shipped within 24 hours of payment order. Payment and order received on 14 July. Contacted them on 29 July to express my disappointment that fortnight had passed and still hadn’t received items (also I must note shipping costed $20)… Read more
heard back on 29th with lame non answer then again on 1 August they claimed package was arriving to me within next 48 hours. Here we are on the 11th of July without my money or parts. I only purchased a Mearth scooter as it was “Australian” company, well this experience has made feel that Mearth does not deserve to be mentioned in same breath as Australia. Shame on you Mearth, WHEN you go out of business it will not be a surprise to me.
A plea for help – Hello Mearth I purchased a Mearth GTS Max for my grandson's 16th Birthday, as he is in my care. After receiving said scooter both my grandson and I were extremely satisfied with the scooter and the overall service Mearth provided. My grandson utilised the scooter for transportation to and from his part time job. Less than three weeks after… Read more
receiving the scooter it was stolen. How a person, clearly with no morals, can commit such a crime against a innocent child is inscrutable.
I understand Mearth, like many others, is a business who's main purpose is to make a profit. That said, I am reluctantly making a plea for assistance. In doing so I truly hope Mearth can help not only myself but more importantly my grandson who is the innocent victim.
Mearth S – Bought this for 2 teenage girls 16 months ago and had issues ever since. Within 6 weeks the front tube punctured from wearing on the inside of the rim. 2 weeks later the rear tube was flat due to the same issue. I told Mearth of the problem and they assured me that the replacement tubes were much thicker at $25 each. I replaced both of these at… Read more
my own expense. 6 months later with only occasional riding the motor started to cut out on the slight incline of our road. If you waited 5 or 10 minutes it would be able to turn on again but the girls got sick of walking it home and wouldn't ride it anymore. I had no choice but to send it to Mearth interstate which cost me $70 (non-refundable according to Mearth). Six weeks later I contacted Mearth and it still hadn't been looked at. Then 2 weeks later when I asked for a refund they attempted to send it back but the transport company said it wasn't there when they went to pick it up. Finally, what I think was a new one arrived a week later with no contact or explanation of what the problem was. Less than a month later it was groundhog day. Had to again replace both tubes within a week of each other and NOW (2 months after that) the motor has been cutting out again and finally won't turn on at all. I checked the battery and it's only showing 13.22Volts so I'd say it's dropped a cell. Mearth say it's no longer under warranty and have directed me to their trade partners interstate to have the battery looked at. This is what you get for trying to support an Australian company.
Mearth GTS off-road e-scooter (single motor) – The idea in principle is sound: build a robust, minimalist and functional e-scooter for use in off-road environments and hope form and function wins the love. The reality is, disappointingly, anything but. Speed: Very high through gears 1 to 3, if scooter is delivered with speed unlocked (internal wiring modification) --- Range: Quoted 100km… Read more
range is fanciful. The best range I got was 55km before a recharge was required (1 bar power remaining). --- Charging: Around 6 to 8 hours with supplied (one) charger. --- Stability: Good. Non zeroed-steering tiller (e.g. free moving, not notched to centre). Stable at speed, but dangerous brakes are a strong disincentive. --- Off-road capability The capability for off-road riding is there, with surprisingly very comfortable spring suspension (adjustable). --- Tyres: Showed moderate wear from routine road commutes and occasional dirt riding; about 60% tread remaining at rear (drive) wheel, 80% at front. Scooter required professional service for removal and fitting of new tyres. --- Overall quality: Unusual design is eye-catching and provokes interest. Minimalist features and inherent cheap-quality parts cast a shadow over long-term reliability.
DETAILED REVIEW The Mearth GTS off-road (single motor) e-scooter only moderately lived up to expectations of reliability, despite early promise of being "the chosen one" in terms of which transport I use, having a car, a bicycle, bus, train and trams at my disposal.
Functionally, the GTS gets the job done as a commuting vehicle in what is a very 'grey area' of two-wheeled electic-powered transportation, despite its odd, ungainly appearance and enormous weight. A bare-bones, no frills scooter that frankly, sits in the bright glare of competition from cheaper, better featured and more powerful scooters. This e-cooter has a lot of catching up to do in an active, competitive market that is moving forward faster than this minimally-featured product can keep up with.
This scooter was purchased on 2nd February 2021 and by January 2022, with just 890km on the odo, had stopped suddenly — dead, never to work again in oppressive heat on a short commuting ride, necessitating an emergency call to be picked up, and associated costs in carrying this very heavy scooter! I was not amused.
Was this the crux of long-time niggles? Since May 2021, problems crept in: non-functioning red rear lights (never functioned with brake activation) began to switch on of their own accord, and could not be switched off! The problem persisted for 2 long days, then disappeared...
Intermittent, juddering loss of power from the motor during flat-road riding.
Progressively worsening wobble and hop of the front wheel at any speed, together with laterally unstable steering column assembly all conspired to make the GTS much less enjoyable than its early days promised.
The most dangerous part of this scooter is the disc brakes: these cheap bicycle-grade (instead of hydraulic, as they should be for such a big scooter!) apply with such absolute brute force with poor modulation that an accident is a very, very real possibility. The manufacturer of the scooter published a video about how to adjust the brake shoes, and this was followed. It did not improve nor reduce the risk of danger during operation.
A professional assessment was more blunt: "Do not ride the scooter with those brakes!".
After-sales service is, frankly, not up to the standard required. Never mind about the shop where the scooter was purchased in Seaford (Victoria), with no interest in servicing the scooter. Factory communication was also poor. Send an email, and hope for a proper response from a human. Instead, it is an auto-generated "nerdy-apps" reply, then a very vague, indirect, imprecise response from a person, along the lines of "send the scooter to us for our workshop to look at" ... oh yeah! Sounds simple when you have to freight a 30kg scooter interstate!! This lack of after-sales in-State service, support, repairs etc is a major failing. No product should be released onto the market without effective, efficient after-sales servicing and support. Period.
Fast forward to March, 2022: The scooter was sold off for parts/scavenging/professional repair or recon. I have replaced it with a much better featured, better valued and more powerful scooter.
Save your money – I tried to purchase 2 mearth gts and 2 seats , I paid for them and that was the end of that , scooters never came , order was canceled by mearth , refund never given, a month later , a huge regret , being interstate it may as well be an oversees order, no protection, even from commonwealth bank Australia , hmmm buy a known brand , buying so called local product is all a scam , Show details
Total Regret – I bought gst max mearth scooter and in 40kms 2 times tire off and I ended up again and again at the store for it. In that century making tires with tubes and promoting off-road (the sad news I didn't even use off-road, I used only at the city) is just a fraud. I applied for a refund and they don't have the afterpay machine to refund directly. I'm… Read more
still struggling with coming payments till they refund my payment that I don't know when. Also, 2 full charges only made 50kms travel so the 100km range is crap. Finally, the charging time on the website is 6 hours but it is only if you buy another 1 charger. So, it doesn't come with a second charger then no need to misinform people. Such a big disappointment I had, 2-week disaster struggle, many times ( total 4 hours wasted) traveling to store with a heavy machine. Amazing design for sculpture only purpose, do not think to ride it...
