appointment for the following day the afternoon prior and arrived spot on time. He was knowledgeable and more than happy to answer all of my questions. He offered sound advise, diagnosed the problem and the cause of my shower leak and thoroughly explained the process of repair. I received my quote the same day which contained a written inspection report, detailed scope of works and photos of the areas of concern he pointed out. This was really beneficial as I was able to show my partner and run through it all again. We had obtained two other quotes but approved the quote from Megasealed that day as I knew this was the company I wanted to do business with. I received a call that afternoon from Angela from the office and we scheduled the job for the following week. Again they worked into my schedule. I received a message from Benny (our assigned technician) the afternoon prior to confirm his timing for the following day. Again he arrived spot on time. This was very refreshing as Id had some bad experiences in the past with trades showing up whenever they felt like it. He ran me through the process of the job again, how long he thought the job would take and was more than happy to answer any questions I had. The finished product was absolutely amazing. The shower looks brand new. Benny takes such pride in his work and his attention to detail is exceptional. He cleaned up after himself and left the bathroom spotless. I couldn't be happier. identify when the best week to do the work was (weather wise), and was spot on. Benny who did the re-grouting was an exceptionally nice person. Friendly and helpful. He took his time to assess the job thoroughly before commencing, and was pro-active in identifying areas that needed special attention. His attention to detail was excellent, his workmanship very thorough, and he left the work site neat and tidy. He even worked a public holiday and Saturday to get the job completed before the forecast heavy rain. Megasealed did a great job – I had our upstairs leaking shower sealed by Megasealed back in April this year, I selected the Standard level quote. I wanted to wait a few months to be sure that the leak was fixed before writing a review. Megasealed I was getting moisture readings in the timbers of 90% and now its down to normal range for timbers of about 17%, there is no leak. Megasealed did a great job. The rep who quoted for the service and the service man were very good.

Overstated the issues to try and get a bigger job – This is a review of the intial quote process with Megasealed Central Coast; we did not use them for the job due to the following: We called Central Coast Megasealed to come and check a small leak from our shower surround. The person who came to see our bathroom majorly over stated issues. Amongst others he diagnosed shower pipes leaking behind… Read more

walls and suggested we may have structural damage and we wouldn't know till we "opened up". He used a moisture meter to try and prove his point, and recommended a big job of pretty much redoing all bathrooms and advised we stop using the showers immediately.

We decided to get some additional quotes from two other companies, as even to me this seemed drastic - our bathroom seemed not in bad condition at all, and somthing seemed not right to me. The other companies showed us there were none of the issues the Megaseal guy suggested, and showed us how we would know if they did exist (e.g screw off shower taps to see if wall was wet behind; what tiles look like when there are issues; check adjoing rooms and ceilings for water leakage or mould etc - all of which were dry). The other two companies suggested a regrout was all that was required. Interestingly neither of them bought a moisture meter and actually noted that of course bathrooms would have moisture in them; it's a bathroom afterall. Unless you know how to read a moisture meter as a home owner then I would take the use of one with a grain of salt.

Megasealed Central Coast then chased us up multiple times to try and get us to book the big job; when I made it clear we were in no hurry and collecting other opinions he then downgraded his intial diagnosis and said just a regrout would be fine...

I'm totally shocked at these guys trying to take us for a ride. I really suggest anyone looking for this type of work to get aditional opinions.

Highly recommend Benny – I had Benny from Megaseal here today to seal my leaky bathroom. He was very friendly, polite and efficient. Fantastic attention to detail – Megasealed replaced the grout in my shower.
