I recently had Metro Appliance Service repair my dishwasher, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. While the repair itself was relatively simple, I truly appreciated the flexibility of the technician, the smooth scheduling process, and the consistency with the dates and times provided. Everything ran exactly as promised, which made the whole process stress-free. Highly professional, reliable, and very recommended!
Be careful!! Very disappointing. Technician phoned on arrival and informed me that he did not deal with the type of dishwasher I have. Rescheduled my entire day to be available.
I have used the services of Metro Appliance Repair twice, once in September 2023 and again in June 2025, to repair my Simpson top loading washing machine. Both repairs were to fix water leaks. $537, which included $308 for parts. The second repair was for the replacement of the detergent housing assembly, which included a 750 mm length of hose which had a small split in it, at a total cost of $454, which included $163 for parts.
Seventy days after the second repair the washing machine began to leak water onto the floor again and it was making a strange noise during the wash cycle. I lodged a service request online, resulting a service agent telephoning me to discuss the request. I was advised that the thirty day warranty period for labour had expired and, due to the noise the machine was making, we mutually decided that the machine was probably not worth repairing.
With nothing to lose, I then removed the top off the machine and noted the same hose that had been replaced seventy days earlier, had a split in the same location as the split in the previous hose. The hose had come out of the plastic clamp that secured the hose against the back wall of the machine, preventing it from rubbing against the vertical rods supporting the tub. I cut the hose where the split was and inserted a hose joiner I purchased at Bunnings for $6.10. I also used a cable tie around the hose and clamp to ensure it did not break free again. The machine has been working trouble free now for over three weeks and the strange noise has not reoccurred, so I can only guess that it was the hose rubbing against the tub.
The reason I will not be using Metro Appliance Repair again is because I believe that when the hose was replaced in June 2025 the plastic clip should have also been replaced. If it had been replaced the hose would not have split again, in exactly the same place. In addition, I was charged $163 for a new detergent housing assembly. I recently found the same item online substantially cheaper at three different suppliers for $84.95, $69.49 and $66.00.

Very happy 10 out of 10 – I’ve had 2 household items repaired recently - Miele dryer & an old Maytag Fridge. The serviceman was very knowledgeable on both products and each item was fixed right the first time. I did try to arrange repair of Miele dryer with Miele, however they couldn’t come to look at it for 2 weeks!! Metro came out in 2 days and was cheaper than what was quoted by Miele. I’ll be using Metro to fix all my appliances in the future.
Highly recommended – Friendly service, great technicians who are helpful and the support staff at home base are attentive and responsive. Despite buying Bosch equipment I do seem to be seeing more repairmen than I perhaps would like, but it’s better than shelling out for new machines.. and I trust the work done by Metro Appliance Repair.

Call-out was prompt, when repair man did come leak was found and no one from the store contacted me regarding replacement of the faulty was of a call-out fee had to pay another call-out fee to have the faulty hose replaced not impressed would never use this company again not even a call back waste of a day off and a fee of $160
Be careful – They came to fix a washing machine and a drier. Charged $192 to clean the drain of the washing machine (total stay here was 13 minutes), which worked. They had a quick look at the drier and quoted us $300 to replace the pump as they said it was broken. if the pump is broken, which the technician didn't. In fact, husband followed the youtube video and the pump just needed to be cleaned, it wasn't broken. Fixed it in 5 minutes.
Terrible experience – I submitted a service booking on 5 February 2024 for the digital panel on my washing machine to be repaired. The technician arrived on 7 February 2024 but had to order the part. let me know. Eventually the technician came a week later - guess what? wrong part. As of today 1 May 2024, I still have not had my washing machine repaired and have not had any further updates. I've now emailed the company cancelling my job. Incredibly frustrating and costly having to use laundromats to do washing.
