In my opinion, a total rort. $141.90 paid for a visit, fair enough but I felt that '[Name Removed]' from Mr Emergency had zero idea. Quoted me $1249 to replace a safety switch in my fuse box, and a further $1149 to do an 'investigation'. replacing the entire unit as the cheapest option. So in addition to quoting $2500 to do very little, he was going to charge for a new unit. Bottom line: nothing accomplished. Would go so far as to say that this service is a scam.

Absolute crooks – Absolute crooks, from the fake assessment to the service only being provided [Content Removed] and damaging my equipment, I actually paid being ignorant. about, only to perform the 'jet cleaning' (huh?) To be told the issue was my compressor, the cost to replace would be close a new one. (Another service actually repaired it for about the same price as thier ineffective 'rejuvenation').
Because I appreciated the prompt response I also contracted them to perform a 'rejuvenation' service as maintenance on my business air conditioners. That was a mistake, while the 'technician' was here for 3-4 hours (across 3 units, I was told 2 hours per unit.....) I have attached pictures of the unit under the cover that I would've expected would be cleaned as part of the overpriced 'rejuvenation'. Furthermore I am uncertain if cleaning of the condensation pipe is meant to be included but considering the service was at a cost of 5x more than others, I would've expected it to be thorough (pictures also attached).
As for the damage, look it may have been fragile due to its age but it was not mentioned to me during or after the cleaning, but within days of the 'rejuvenation' both my business units were dripping and leaking (also damaging $1000s of equipment and stock as we were unaware). On further inspection (by another service agent) it appears the tongue from the condensation drain, that securely fixes the drain pipe to the unit was broken, on both units, hence the leaking since neither could be connected properly. The dripping only started occurring after thier 'service' and the cause was confirmed by another technician, leading me to conclude they caused the damage either to force a potential replacement unit (maliciously) or by accident but not mentioning or addressing it hoping for it not to be an issue (and who are we kidding, of course it was going to be after such a half arsed job). I'm not letting this go, I have setup a domain and in the process of setting up a website dedicated to there shoddy work and prices, granted this has already been covered by ACA but I will be optimising the SEO to appear with any search they might appear with.
Be aware Metropolitan is not the only name they go by, Upside Down and Mr Emergency are just two I'm aware of and I will be providing a more through list of names they trade under as I gather more information.
Also be aware positive reviews here are fake, ask yourself this, why would multiple different people from all over the country refer to thier technician by thier initials. This makes no sense. How often have you even been provided a last name to initialise? Or do does every technical introduce them selves with two letters? Mine didn't....
What a RIP OFF – Be objective it says. A COMPLETE RIP OFF. paid service fee $143. then before even attempting to see why A/C was not working quoted $1049 to inspect. paid it not knowing what A/C service costs. He inspected electrical surge. quoted $8039 to repair mother board and inverter. And new A/C unit at $10839. I Said those were ridiculous. Went elsewhere and have new 8Kw system installed for $3650 all up. Be very aware of this overpricing company. Show details

Rip off prices and rude tradesmen – Got this company to come out to look at faulty air conditioning unit, agreed to replace the air con with a new one. Signed up for new price. and quotes $2300 for barely 3 hours of work! I also say be careful my tv is laying down on couch with sheet over it, as it had to be moved to install air con. I come out and they have put the air con unit on my tv! I say to them get it off. Then the guy instead of apologising is very rude and tells me not to over react. Then they continue to work. At the end the electrician finishes his work and is like I need to be paid, I’m like ok I’m not paying you till I know my TV is ok, I will pay afterwards. He then flies off the handle going well I’ll take parts out with me and move on then cause I need payment. I calmly say sure, I’m not paying any money until the unit is working and I know my TV is ok, I’m happy to call your manager. He then spats “I will call my manger” then goes off in a huff. He then comes back in very aggressive and then goes to grab my tv so rough that the trim flies off. I say stop, your touching my belongings quite roughly, my husband will be home in 5 mins I can check then. You can go outside and pack up. Absolutely the rudest and most unprofessional and ridiculously priced mob. I can’t believe I didn’t do my own research, I can’t believe I was so gulliable to be swindled with this company again. The air conditioner is working and a new one installed but with a total cost of $90000.00 I know I should of waited and shopped around. This company prey on customers and the prices are unjust. Also I had the first technician come out whom was lovely but then was called away due to personal circumstance (which I was understanding) then I was waiting around for hours for new work to re-commence. The whole ordeal lasted 7:00am - 8:00pm. The electrician was trying to stand over me and intimidate me for payment when possibly damaging other people’s property, he needs to get a grip, take taking care and respect for other peoples property, he is just a tiny cog in this corrupt organisation.
Refreshing Experience – Very professional company, easy booking and also great communication. Had a time slot booked and was phone early informing myself of a delay. Our technician Dave was incredible, very informative and experienced. His customer service, workmanship and the effort he went to to ensure we had our unit working again was exceptional.
