Dont take the skye mastercard option
Michael Hill offered a great wedding option for our rings. At the time we had a discounted ring selection but our taste put in rings put them outside our price range.
They offered us the skye mastered card option which was great with 50months interest free allowing us to focus on other wedding payments at the time and ability to catch up on payments post wedding.
This was our worst mistake, skye master card is the worst company to deal with.
They are constantly hassling is on late payments that are made monthly and two weeks before due date.
They even have the hide to charge us late fees for there slow processing.

Great service, very ready to find out if they didn't know, rather than just making it seem they knew, and wonderful manner in dealing with us. Got exactly what we wanted, and at a very good price.
Excellent service and quality products
Customer service was excellent. I didn't know what I was really looking for but Lisa behind the counter was more than happy to help out. She even gave me a better deal than anywhere else I had been looking! No brainer! Service was quick and professional and I had the perfect engagement ring within a week of ordering it...fit to size!! Overall I am really happy with Michael Hill Stocklands in Townsville and definitely will be going back there for wedding bands.

Sales assistant offered to clean my jewelry after noticing I was wearing some fabulous Michael Hill jewelry, which led to another discussion about spoiling myself for my birthday and being on holidays and buying a gorgeous pair of earrings, can never have enough jewelry
Very low quality diamonds
My Fiancee brought my engagement ring from Michael Hill, absolutely love the design. However, when I went to get it valuated I was told these diamonds were rubbish and hand no value.
I went to 2 different jewellery stores to sell the diamonds, n they weren't even willing to buy or swap the diamonds cause of the poor quality!!!
My Fiancee paid over 5k and this ring has no value!! You claim you have the best of diamonds and you charge us for it, the false advertising needs to stop as this is a crime!

dont fall for it
So i bought a Michael hill watch 2-3 years ago for $300-$400 and they gave life time battery replacement with it. So I thought its a very good offer life time battery, Right?
However my watch got damage and when i gave it for repair , had to wait more than 6 weeks just to get an answer sorry sir you can take your watch back parts for this watch no longer available
So it means now my watch is use less and that life time battery offer was bogus....
Why would you give life time battery offer for something which you cannot even repair after few ye...

Pleased with the final outcome of my special order
My husband bought me a three stone champagne diamond ring from Maroochydore store at the end of June 2019. We needed to make a special order due to my tiny fingers, so the ring was made from scratch. We specifically requested darker colour champagne diamonds as the ring we saw in the store at the time of purchase. Unfortunately, when I received the special order ring, the three champagne diamonds were very light colour. I spoke to the shop assistant, returned the ring and was promised to get them changed. After two weeks I got the ring back, bu...t the colour was still very light and I was very unhappy about that. I decided to talk to the manager and acting manager Kavita was very helpful and offered me a good alternative. I found the dark colour champagne diamonds ring in the Chermside store. The manager Ben and his wonderful staff were extremely helpful and sent the ring I chose to Maroochydore so that the issue could be resolved. After four months, I finally got the beautiful ring I wanted. I am grateful to both Maroochydore and Chermside managers for assisting me and making me a happy customer. Thank you!!!

Terrible record keeping
We purchased our wedding bands at Canberra Centre shopfront.
Size adjustments were supposed to take 2-6 weeks and was told that I would get an email when they're ready. 6 weeks past but heard nothing from the shop so I went online and entered the order number on the docket but was pushed back, saying there is no record. I placed my enquiry through their "Contact Us" web form and received an email from Canberra Centre 2 days later, saying that they'd rang my mobile number 3 weeks ago and left message in my voice mail. Wedding band rhodium plating in 6 months
We purchased a white gold wedding band and a diamond ring for myself in March 2019. In just 6 months my husbands wedding band has gone yellowish and looks horrible. We returned to the store and were told that the rhodium plating had rubbed off during normal wear and tear and we would have to have it redone. We had to purchase the care plan. My husband works in an office, does not take medication and we are told this is normal. What sort of ring requires rhodium plating done every 6 months. Terrible quality. All information on every other websit...e or Jewellery store is it should last minimum of 12 months but up to 2-3 years. If we do the rhodium plating every 6 months it will actually wear your ring down prematurely. Every time your ring is rhodium plated, your old plating must first be striped off, all the old scratches taken out, cleaned and be prepared to have the new plating applied. This is such poor quality and terrible advice. This wedding band should be able to be worn each day. If not than advise your customer that they can not wear your wedding rings every day or advise which wedding ring you can actually continually wear. Maybe offer an alternative or tell the buyer how it will look in 6 months. According to MH the matter is resolved by selling us a lifetime of rhodium plating and this is expected wear of the ring. In 6 month you can expect this. Please be warned before making a purchase like this. I am sure No one would be happy if this was their ring or this was the stores and MH customer service teams resolution.

Fantastic Customer Service
A few weeks ago my now Fiance proposed to me with a beautiful ring from Michael Hill. I am absolutely in love with the ring! Anyways, a few days after he purchased the ring it got reduced by $500. He was so upset about it so I went into Michael Hill and explained the situation. They ended up giving him back a $500 gift voucher to spend in store. The staff at this store were so pleasant and understanding. No ifs or buts, it was just straight to the point. We were very happy as we are a young couple and only just moved out of home last year, we struggle with paying bills. Huge thank-you to the staff at Michael Hill :)
I have bought several items from the company and each item has discoloured within weeks. I wear silver and every piece has tarnished and gone black. After exchanging an item the same thing happened. Either the silver is plated which they swore wasnt or just cheap rubbish!!
I have worn and bought silver jewellery since I can remember and never had an issue. Not good enough and dishonest selling inferior products and not cheap!!!!
Another jewellery store ... Pushy staff
One staff member made me feel uncomfortable about going into any jewellery store again. It was my birthday and my partner wanted to buy a present for me. The staff member in question asked me "what jewellery are you passionate about", I wasn't sure what I wanted but made it clear I wasn't interested in bangles or bracelets as I had several that were broken or damaged in the past. All she wanted to show me after that was various styles of bracelet and bangle! We ended up leaving and buying a nice necklace somewhere else!
RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!
Purchased my engagement ring from the Eastgardens store from a lovely lady who was helpful and a pleasure to deal with! Unfortunately my experience was later completely ruined by another staff member! I returned to the store to enquire about getting my ring resized and was in no way spoken to politely or given a reasonable standard of service. The second staff member has absolutely ruined any chance of myself purchasing from there again and I’m honestly shocked in the service.

Thank you for your enquiry. I recommend taking your ring into your local store for the team to assess the depth etc f the scratches If they are able to polish and buff these out in-store there would be no charge involved however they will need to assess to advise further.
