The grease filter red light showed. I cleaned the filter but the range hood is now not working
The grease filter red light was on. I cleaned the filter but when I switch it on the range hood is not working
I cannot release the filter tray..the instructions say pull on the quick release buttons but nothing happens
Hi Mary It's looks more like a knobs and you pull down to remove the filter .
The buttons have sunk inside making it inoperable. I understand Miele offer a 20 year pledge. There was a response on this website (from 5 years ago) where it was communicated Miele offered a replacement part but charged labour. Will Miele offer a free replacement part for the buttons and free labour please?

Does your DA 249-4 need a charcoal filter. We purchased a home unit with this model in it and not sure whether the cooker hood needs a charcoal filter. We seem to need to clean the outer filter often. Does the charcoal filter prevent the filter having to be clean so often. Also can I still purchase charcoal filters for this cooker hood.
Hi Judy No it doesn’t require s charcoal filter. It has a stainless steel filter which is dishwasher safe. I have a spare filter which is great when one is being cleaned.
Hi Judy, the charcoal filter is used if the unit is recirculated and not vented outdoors. They will not affect how often the filters need to be cleaned. Kind regards, Joel.
