Worst Miele product we have ever purchased. Waste of money.
We bought this dryer in September 2019. We use it only to dry 1 set of sheets once a week. But it doesn't dry. Just rolls into balls and eventually, after almost 2 hours, just stops.
After many calls (sometimes waiting 45 minutes and we would finally hangup) about 2 months ago, and email to Miele "Service" we had a service gentleman arrive at our home and told us it was a known fault and he would reprogram the dryer.
It is slightly better now - but it is still rolls into a ball and not dry.
Poor customer service. A dryer that doesn't dry. Not fit for purpose.
Today we made 4 phone calls and waited over an hour on the only customer "service" line to request a full refund.

Takes a long time, sheets come out in a ball
Drying a load of bed sheets takes 2 hours, and even then the sheets are damp (Even using the “extra dry” setting) and in a ball. I have to lay them out on the bed to get them to dry properly.

Poor experience with this dryer
The performance of the dryer is very disappointing. Items seem to take a very long time to dry, and sheets come out in a ball, and damp in the middle. I don't believe that it reverses, but of course with a solid door it is not possible to see this to confirm. Towels, however, are very efficiently dried for some reason. It was purchased together with a washing machine as a combo offer. I do notice that it was not made in Germany, but in the Czech Republic

Error codes are persistent and increase over time
We bought our Miele washer and dryer one year ago. The washer is great. The dryer is fine - when it works. Over the last 3 months the 066 error code has come up repeatedly. We have had to put a line in the backyard to dry our clothes and have resorted to going to the laundrymat for drying at times.

Very unhappy with this dryer.
After patronizing Miele washing machines and dryers over many years, I was happy with it. Then our dryer I purchased for farm retired so I bought another Miele dryer. I was told this is the latest and the best dryer - TCE30WP as it is "HEAT PUMP" blah, blah blah. Turned out after a few use of this dryer, I was horrified my bedsheets finished damp even I use "EXTRA DRY" setting on cotton. I called Miele and they sent a technician and he said the pumps kaput. Already??? I only used it for like less than 6 trimes! So, they replaced it with...Read more
a new one. It worked for a month or so and now, most of the time my bedsheets are damp again - all in extra dry setting. I tried using the 1 hour of warm air in further program but it is still damp. I am so frustrated I want to switch to a different German Brand. AND I agree with Dario who wrote on June 15, 2020 - bedsheets rolling up into a tight roll and also I experienced what puppies280293 also commented - and I bought this dryer with a combo with a washing machine. I have no problem with that but this dryer is useless. I clean the filter every use and also the opne at the bottom every a few uses. That still is not helping. Yes, also a sorry purchase.Purchased in June 2018 at Miele.

Great quality Miele Dryer
After struggling to dry clothes during a wet and cold New Zealand winter and wanting to avoid making my house damp, I decided to buy a dryer. I reviewed lots of heat pump dryers as I was unfamiliar with the newish heat pump technology and didn’t want to buy an inefficient dryer that uses loads of electricity. The reviews were very mixed and after being told by Harvey Norman (New Zealand) staff that the majority of heat pump dryers don’t work very well as the drum doesn’t turn both ways with intelligent moisture sensors, I was persuaded to buy e...Read more
ither LG or Miele as these ones do indeed turn both ways (Miele also has two sensors). Although, I was then told that they didn’t have any stock until September due to Covid-19. Fortunately, when I looked at the Miele website, they had stock for the 8kg which I wanted, so purchased the TCE 630 WP 8KG dryer in July 2020. Used it over 20 times on different settings and it works perfectly (I’m cleaning the filter and emptying the water every time which takes less then 1 minute). When drying thick cotton clothes you do need to select ‘extra dry’. The time the shows up at the beginning of the cycle is just an indication and it changes (normally less) once the machine works out the moisture level after a few minutes. So in summary, if you are unsure I would always go with the premium brands like Miele.Purchased in July 2020 at Miele Online Shop for A$2,499.00.

Poorly designed dryer
Bed sheets end up rolling up into a tight roll, and when the drying cycle completes the middle is still damp, I have to run at least two complete drying cycles every time in order to achieve dry sheets. I separate the sheets out every time I remove them from the washing machine, and have tried arranging them in different ways inside the dryer to try and overcome the problem, but it has not helped.
In my opinion this is a very poorly designed product, Miele's claim that their products are tested equivalent to 20 years operation appears to be complete nonsense. It only took 1 washing cycle to discover this problem.

Worst Dryer Ever
Purchased this dryer and had it installed etc. Have recently moved into new home and this Dryer takes forever to dry even the smallest load but worst yet any linen/duvet covers I put into this horror dryer ends up being spun tighter than any cocoon or mummy I have ever seen and whatever is inside said cocoon/mummy is still wet - even after 3 hours. Would not recommend this thing to anyone and I love Miele products but this dryer along with my new washer WDD030 - sorry purchase.

Does not do what it is supposed to do. Poor customer service
The dryer was faulty. Dried on delicates and on gentle tumble at over 50 degrees Celsius destroying my clothes. Clothes always still damp. Needed to be restarted multuple times to complete a load. Returned for refund and it has been over a month since it went back with no sign of the refund. When I call I am told someone will call me back with a solution and no call. I am not impressed with the customer service at all.

Perfect dryer
Miele dryer T 1 eco - I purchased this as a combo with Miele washing machine 2 years ago as they were having a deal that if you purchased a washing machine the dryer was half price.
It can be stacked on Washer or wall mounted
Quite functioning
I have found it to be quite efficient and muliple of drying options to select from ie minimum iron.
It withdraws the water into a container that can be removed and the water is safe to use for the garden.
Vey happy with purchase.

Had an issue - Miele responded and resolved it quickly.
UPDATE - 28/01/2020: I replied to Miele via the link provided in the comment they responded with below. I was quickly contacted by their support and they organised for a tech to come out to our place and upgrade the dryers firmware. I've only tested it by watching it run for a short time empty however, it now turns forwards and then backwards a lot more regularly (the problem with sheets ending up tangled is due to the dryer running in one direction for too long and not reversing for long enough). At this stage, I really believe the issue has b...Read more
een resolved. I'll give it a good workout later this week when it comes to bed washing day though! Thanks to Miele for quickly jumping on this and providing a solution. I've altered the rating due to this. INITIAL REVIEW - Our first one was replaced under warranty due to faulty drum and compressor. It used to tangle linen into a tight, twisted ball. We got a new one (they updated the replacement to this model), and it does the same. I've tried every setting to no avail. Linen ends up very tightly tangled and twisted inside itself. I've just spent 10 minutes trying to untangle the last load. Then, because of this, everything is still wet, so I need to run it 1 or 2 times more to dry.3 comments

This dryer is terrible. Two queen sheets all caught up together not dry. One queen doona couple small items not dry. Certainly not Eco have to put things in twice to dry. Had Miele for 12 years this generation hopeless it is less than year old and I am replacing it No fluffing plenty of balling up of bedding all the time

Definitely Do Not Buy This Dryer
The worst of a line-up of products that are not reliable and expensive to fix, this dryer firstly doesn't dry clothes (ie. doesn't do what it's supposed to do), repeatedly has error F066 displaying (despite already having it's main logic board replaced), and rolls bed linen up in to tight balls that will never dry. Searching for reviews on this product, I see that these issues are known faults with this particular model.

requested that the machine should be recalled with no action forthcoming, even after repeated calls from us and missed commitments from Miele to followup and call back. We're not only totally disappointed with this product, but with Miele's customer service which is way below what could be expected as reasonable from a company that claims to sell at a premium level. When we first purchased the product, Miele sent a letter opening with "Dear Valued Customer" - honestly I have to say that this is not our experience....Purchased in December 2018 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances for A$2,354.00.

Do not buy! Terrible dryer - fan of Miele till now.
This is actually a swap out and a slightly newer version of the machine I originally bought. Unfortunately it shows the very same fundamental design flaw.
If you intend to dry bed linen, it will simply ball up every time, crumble them beyond belief leaving the ball damp in the middle. Essentially, you will have to constantly stop, untangle and restart.
For clothes and towels it works perfectly.
Miele clearly have fundamental issues to address with these new dryers - the fact they have released them onto the market with such a (testable) flaw makes me wonder about Miele’s previously excellent reputation!
Purchased in November 2019 for A$1,400.00.

Absolute rubbish
We have had service technicians out three times with the same problem - an F66 error message. Nobody is able to fix the problem and we are left with a drier that does not dry our clothes and the sound of constant beeping to assault our ears. To make things worse, there are no Miele service technicians in our area meaning that we are having to call Miele, then call an outside agency - of which there is just one - to come out and try and fix the problem. The wait time on a technician is generally close to a week meaning that I’m travelling into t...Read more

One of my favourite dryers i have used
I can put anything in the dryer together cotton, nylon and it does dryer them perfectly, no crease, gentle on clothes, very quiet. very easy to use with a delay button should you wish to delay the dryer. Led Light.
The filter is the best and easiest to clean, the air Freshener gives it the nice fresh scent and easy to fit.
I cannot fault this dryer.

Miele TCE630WP Clothes Dryer
I've only used this dryer on two washes, but these are my first impressions.
It was super easy to set up, however the first time I used it on the Normal Cottons setting was disappointing because the clothes came out damp. The next time I tried it with a full load on the Extra Dry setting and the clothes came out as they should. Dry.
I was also pleasantly surprised that the two sheets included in the second load did not tangle and were fairly wrinkle free. Apparently this dryer has reverse tumbling although you can't see it because the door i...Read more

Quality unsurpassed. 10 star efficiency rating!
Our first Miele purchase and very satisfied.
Clothes come out beautifully dry and dust particles are collected by the filter. We did not realise how much dust particles are otherwise stuck inside the linen and clothes!
No guilt in using it, as it is 10 star energy rating!
Clothes are protected as it turns both ways and dries gently.
Laundry just becomes an enjoyable thing!
Definitely considering changing everything else to Miele later on!

Hi, I put one light acrylic blanket in the dryer and it soon stopped and beeped, showing "adjust load" instruction. I decided to just dry the blanket outside & put a new load on - but the "adjust load" warning won't go away! Have turned the machine off and on, including on the wall. Two days later my wet washing is piling up waiting to be dried. How can an expensive, sophisticated machine be so stubborn & unhelpful!? Thx for your suggestions.

Sorry, but I can't answer your question. I can only suggest contacting Miele, who sent a technician to update the software in ours very recently. Good luck!

Silly but serious question . . How do I stop the dryer door from constantly closing on my head as I bend down to get the clothes out of the washer? My washer and dryer are stacked and when I bend down to get clothes from the washer, to the dryer, the dryer door is right above my head. Is their any way for it to stay in the open position as I load it.
