stop operating their business in this manner but I highly doubt it.

Miscota is a spanish company operating warehouses wherever it is convenient to them. They also deliberate set up subdomains in each country to make it look like you are buying domestic. You are not. They don't give a damn about checking to ensure what they are doing is legal so much as what they are doing gets revenue through the door.

They claim to be honest but I don't trust the company culture to get this right. Still, per the email below, they are at least VERY aware of this problem now. So don't accept their lies if they say they are not!

They ship from overseas so Customs sends it back – The attached picture says it all. The website looks like an Australian one, has prices in AUD, so you wouldn't think there is a problem with your order being delivered to you in Australia. However, in the FAQ it says if your goods are turned away at Customs it's your problem and you may not request a refund. Apparently this applies to Australian… Read more

customers, it's not a warning for customers ordering from outside of Australia. This means when Customs ultimately sends the order back Miscota get to restock their goods, keep the money you paid for them, and you agree to that by ordering from them. I didn't think that sounded like an acceptable trading practice anywhere in the world so I made a complaint about it to ICPEN.org since they monitor cross-border trading. I also opened a case with my credit card provider. If enough people do this I'm sure these business practices will change. A lesson I learned the hard way - Check carefully where merchants are based and where they are shipping from because Customs never allows pet foods and treatments arriving from overseas.

Don't use Miscota – Item bought, Pet Corrector seized at Customs and destroyed. Miscota refused to refund. Surely they would know what items won't go through Customs and advise their customers before taking their money. Stay clear of Miscota.

Can't deliver – Long wait, didn't realise that I had ordered from Netherlands. Package arrived to Australia Post in such a wet soggy condition that the package had a sticker from Australia Post stating it was received by Australia post in that condition and was repackaged by Australia Post. Wet soggy box in plastic bag supplied by Australia post. Miscota insists photo be sent in reply to my complaint. Photos sent nothing back. Will not buy from Miscota again.

Eheim Eco Pro 300 Delivery to Australia – A little over four weeks to arrive, but for half the price inc shipping it was well worth the wait, and to be expected in a post Covid world. Thank you Miscota.

Broken parts – I ordered this impeller and when I received it it was broken. It was sent to Australia from the Netherlands wrapped in a small piece of bubble wrap. When I asked for them to replace it it was as if I had done something wrong. Do not deal with this company as they are a rip off.

Item out of stock – I ordered some pet items from them then was told one item out of stock would have to wait 4 weeks for it to be back in stock, they shouldn’t advertise items they haven’t got. They aren’t as reliable as they used to be which is disappointing.

never felt like I would lose money or that this was a scam company. They're legit. They send discount codes for subsequent orders. All in all, I am absolutely chuffed about finding this company, and have recommended them to heaps of pet owners I know.

Highly recommend if you don’t need urgent order – I did online order and it took 3 weeks to arrive Sydney . The package is all good through and product is the one that we cannot get in local market.

Dentalife for cats seized by customs – My bad I didn't read the reviews; however, Miscota should have warned Australians customers of the customs potentially seizing this type of products due to biosecurity reasons given the amount of feedback they have received. How unconscionable! There was no way of knowing whether the product was sourced locally; in fact they were shipped from the Netherlands that's why there was an intervention at the border.

Customs issue – I ordered some rabbit snacks that got seized at customs. I have had a look at the website to try and ask for a refund however Miscota do not give refunds on orders that have been seized at customs and sent back.

Item not received - no refund given – Miscota website has AU address. It is not. Items I brought are available in Oz but I was told my order was stopped in customs and destroyed. Scam! You never get the item – Don't buy anything there as it is a full scam. They first said their item was out of stock and then said oh it was already shipped and then said it was destroyed at the border and there is no refund. Any other real shop would do a refund if that would be true, as shops have insurance for that. They also provided a fake tracking number!

Very risky items not delivered terrible support with no refunds – Order never received, spent considerable time back and forth with customer service who advised I should take this up with Australia Post who confirmed the shipment never made it to Australia Post. Miscota support refused to help and provide any freight tracking support. Complete lack of support and no option for a refund. Very risky.

Miscota never sent products – It seems to be an online thing now that web sites just don't send goods and hope you don't chase them up for a refund. They can hold your money and use it to make more money. I won't be using Miscota again. Remember to ALWAYS use PayPal or similar so you can get your money back.

Stealing money from Australia – They advertise sending to Australia and illegally send you produce knowing customs will reject the order. They then pretend that they will give you a refund knowing full well customs won’t send it back. They take large amounts of money from Australian consumers knowing this happens regularly. They send you on an email paper chase and waste your time and are rude, dishonest and lie. I still have not received my refund.

Dont be enticed – Bought some cat pheromone spay though these guys because it was a bit cheaper than elsewhere. After a month I finally checked the shipment status and it said "lost or destroyed". After asking about it they basically said "take it up with customs if you want your money back". Unprofessional practice bordering on scam.

Terrible- Be aware if you ordering on line – The website has .com.au but the product comes from overseas (The Netherlands). My order was stopped at Australian Custom and finealy returned back to Miscota , I have chased my credit for 3 months, NO RESPONSE, eventually managed to het hold of the customer Service (What service !!!) . Bluntly refused to issue credit and used the excuse of non payment. Stay away from MISCOTA

Scam, run don't walk away from their page – Ordered 2 harnesses for my dogs on the 2/6. On their website and in my email it did inform me I wouldn't receive it until around 30/6 as such I just sat back and waited. Costs more than local pet shop, and wait months for supplies – I ordered on this site thinking it would be cheaper and easier than visiting pet stores looking for bark spray. I have waited over a month and now find it in pet shops way cheaper. Still have not received my order. I had custom ceramic sinks made in Morroco and delivered faster than two cans of dog spray. DO NOT USE this company if you were hoping for it to be cheaper and easier.

No problem with my order – I placed an order in the 18th July 2021 and received my order three weeks later. Goods arrived in good order and condition and were the brand name I ordered and not a clone. No complaints from me at all. Not bad service to be sent from Spain to Australia in these trying times.
