Ok when it worked but unreliable – The unit was okay when new however the indoor evaporator coil kept leaking. During the 5 year warranty period I replaced the coil 3 times! All under warranty luckily. However I am now out of warranty and it's starting to leak again so I will be installing a brand new system from another brand. Show details
Great Aircon unit – We've had our airconditioning unit for almost 3 years now and its been wonderful. We've had no issues with it at all. The heat and aircon work really well. The unit is sleek and looks great on our wall. I have no hesitation recommending this product. We bought both a 2.5 and 3.5kw units. Show details
wonderful – This air conditioning unit is very good and works well. It has a good remote control, and the display on the remote is easy to understand. Its cooling and heating are satisfactory. This is an air conditioner with superior performance. That's great. Silent effect is very good, no sound when you sleep at night, the cooling speed is fast, and the… Read more
room temperature quickly reaches the set temperature. I will not hesitate to recommend this product to any potential buyers.
Excellent Machine 3 Inside units 2.2Kw and one 2.5Kw unit – This unit supplies air to 4 separate head units, (4 Bedrooms) Very quiet and very easy to use, The inside units I have are 3x MSZ-GE22VAD-A1 and 1 MSZ-GE25VAD-A1.I have used both cooling and heating, it's very quick at cooling or heating the rooms and I was surprised at the power bill when it came in, I was a bit worried that we would have a… Read more
massive bill but to my surprise it was so much less than expected, I would certainly recommend Mitsubishi Air conditioning for anyone wanting a good and economical to run unit for their home or business.
I also have 2 other different brand split systems, 1 x 8kw Panasonic I would rate at 4 stars and a 3.5kw Kelvinator I would rate this as a 3-star unit.
Relief From Summer Heat – We finally got this installed in our bedroom before last summer so we have now used it for two full summers. What pleasant relief to have proper air conditioning after putting up with fans in there. We made sure we got it done before the rush in spring and the installation was quick and painless. The machine itself has worked flawlessly and it… Read more
still gives me a small thrill to know I will sleep well no matter what the temperature. Very satisfied with the purchase and have no complaints of any kind. Perfect!.
We got two units and they are fantastic for both heating and cooling – We had our Mitsubishi aircon installed by an electrician. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about it. It cools well and heats well. The choice of airflow is fantastic so I can set it to low for low fan noise and high for higher performance. The basic settings such as hot/cold, temperature, fan speed and vane settings are easy and the timer function I haven't used yet. Show details
Very efficient and easy to use – I purchased this air conditioner a few years ago, and it's still going strong. It's been placed in a room that gets very hot in the summer, and has been great for getting the temperature down quickly and quietly. The remote accompanying the AC unit makes it a breeze to turn the temperature up and down, or to adjust other settings. Show details
Reasonably priced and efficient – I suspect this model has been discontinued. bought this during a sales clearance. it was excellent for one of our small master bedroom 4 x 3.5m. Not as noisy as one would expect. Still running strong. just clean your own filters and don't drop the remote ! prefer mitsubishi to panasonic due to horse power... Show details
Excellent value for money – I am very happy with this aircon. It cools my 3.2X3.2 bedroom very quickly and quietly. It was recommended to me by a old friend of mine who is very good at researching into electronics. I highly recommend this to anyone having small rooms. I am not sure about bigger rooms though, it might work well in those situations too. Show details
No heating and A/C is not ice cold - Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-GE25VA – I had one with the house and its a complete failure. Does not heat at all when I set it on heat mode and during a 29°C day A/C was horrible not really cold. I don't know if it's my machine personally or if it happens to everyone but I had a complete bad experience with this. Show details
So good for Canberra – Pretty cheap, (even with a professional install). Ideal for a large bedroom.Doesn't use excessive amounts of power. Nice and quiet when running heat or cooling. Goes nice and hot for winter, nice and cold for summer. The remote seems to think its turned the unit on, when it often hasn't. But considering cost, this is a good aircon. Show details
LOVE IT – have one larger unit in the small living room for many years (7.5Kw), good for summer to cool down the whole house. but bedroom can get very warm some summer night, sleepless and sweat. Want to get a small unit for the bedroom, decided to get Mitsubishi brand smaller unit. no regretted, heating and cooling. Show details
Not that quiet – We too had the same problem as some previous previews. The unit is quiet at night with heating mode but sometimes there is cracking sound / intermittent vibration that keeps us awake at night. Haven't tried the cooling mode yet, will wait for summer and see how it goes. However we would not recommend this product to anyone else. Show details

Perfect air con – I love this air con. I have it in the bedroom, it is extremely quiet when running, works well, does not give me a dry mouth. It keeps the perfect temperature. It doesn't get too hot or too cold. Much better than the Daikin I have in the living room. Next one I buy will be a Mitsubishi. Show details
Nice, quiet and cool – We chose this unit against the fujitsu mainly because the salesman said it was much quieter and had a further reach. And you know what? He was right...for a change. We survived the summer because of this and we don't regret paying over $100 more for this. Highly recommended. The cash back offer helped too! Show details
Excellent Little Unit – I have had the Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-GL25VGD Split system in my master bedroom. It has been in the room since early December 2016. I must say that over all I am very impressed with the unit. Economical as Mitsubishi claims, super quiet and it varies its speed accordingly to needs/ room temperature when it is switched on. I am very happy with the… Read more
unit, cooling quickly and then running in economy mode once it reaches the desired temperature I have set. I have set the unit to 23c and I have not missed a nights sleep throughout the summer. Price was great at $840 for the unit and I ended up paying $450 for instillation. I would highly recommend this air conditioner for the bedroom any time.
I will add to this review once I have had the unit for a year. Currently however, no regrets and this should be top of your list if you need a small unit to cool or heat a single room. Well worth the money. Key to any air conditioner is making sure once a month you clean the filters. Easy to take out and clean.
4 star heating and cooling – Pros-2.5 kW. Plenty for our master bedroom 3.9x4.2. Quiet operation. Inverter system, energy efficient 4 star heating and cooling. Quick cooling function. Happy with the modes and swing function. Easy to use remote. Good heating and cooling. Outdoor unit not noisy. Cons- Heating takes 1-2 minute to warm up and start.( yet good heating thereafter). Technician installed it for me so don't know how easy or difficult it is to install by yourself. Show details
Great quiet air conditioner – Had this unit installed in our bedroom a few months ago and cannot fault it, was so surprised when the technician turned it in because I couldn't hear it, so much quieter than my last model which lasted 11 years, quiet and cools very efficiently, power bill wasn't a surprise either ! Warranty Claim – "Mitsubishi Brand is a sign of Quality products. In Pakistan, Mitsubishi Air Conditioners are imported in parts and assembled by Orient Electronics (Pvt) Ltd at their Lahore Factory. that all nine inner units u-bands had leaked and required replacement. The condition of the inner and outer units showed a clear picture of substandard materials and workmanship.
Within 06 months, the condition of ACs have deteriorated to such an extent that any one can guess that they will not run any more. Under such a condition Orient should offer replacement, however, they have intimated to us that they will only repair the units by replacing the defective U-Bands and that too by charging a substantial amount.
The ACs are sold with warranty of (3+1) years, whereas only half the period of warranty is passed. It is pertinent to mention that we are a large customer of Mitsubishi Air Conditioners purchasing over 1000 units a year.
Orient Electronics management is requested to please oblige their warranty responsibility and replace the defected units at the earliest."

Hopeless & Terrible warranty! Stay away if you want to sleep well – I have three of MSZ-GE25VAKIT installed since 30/06/2015. They are all back-to-back installed on brick wall (same wall). The outdoor units caused unacceptable noise and vibration through the brick wall especially when the motors are working. We almost couldn't sleep at all. The technician only fixed one by putting the outdoor unit on the ground.… Read more
Problems solved straight away. They refused to fix the other two units and requested me to pay extra to fix.
What a shame after sale service! I wouldn't recommend MSZ-GE25VAKIT to any my family members and friends at all, if installing on the wall.
Now, an official complaint will be lodged in NSW Fair Trading Office and the ACCC.
Hopeless & Terrible! Stay away if you want to sleep well.
Very happy with these air conditioners – I bought 5 Mitsutibishi reverse cycle air conditioners for my house - various sizes with smaller 2.5 for bedrooms and large units for lounge/dining and kitchen/ media rooms after they were recommended by two different air conditioning suppliers. After more than 3 yrs, I'm still very happy. They are very quiet and efficient. The remote control… Read more
isn't the best - it's not intuitive and is a little bulky but I would definitely recommend Mitsubishi Very quiet so great for the bedroom Remote control is not easy to work out
Works very well – We had the 2.5kw Mitsubishi Electric split system installed 1 year ago. It has worked very well, keeping us cool in the summer and warm during the winter. It is quiet, has worked perfectly from the word go, and is yet to give us any issues. Seems to be efficient too. Heats and cools. Quiet and efficient Remote control hasn't got a backing… Read more
light, so can't easily adjust settings in the dark. A chunky internal unit, sticks out a long way from wall.
Mitsubishi Electric is not Mitsubishi Heavy Industries! – After 6 years of excellent performance of my 2 Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) units, I mistakenly bought a new Mitsubishi Electric (ME) unit, thinking it was the same. The installing electrician warned me it was not, and in his experience, they were not as reliable as MHI. 6 years later, the 2 MHI units are still going strong, but the more… Read more
lightly used MI unit has had a compressor failure. Mitsubishi Electric Customer Care don't care and the electrician has advised it would be more economical to replace the whole unit. I will, but it won't be with an ME unit.
TOP PRODUCT – Great price and Excellent working, Quiet and Easy to operate....Will do a room about 15x15 feet easily... heating and cooling... very easy to clean and maintain... would buy another one in a flash... and most likely will for the bigger rooms in the house... in the near future or sooner... cost and quietness the LCD display on the remote control is a bit small and the icons are not as simple as it could be.. Great Split system - MSZGE25VA – My old Panasonic split system just dead after 7 years. I have recommended the Mitsubishi aircon split system by both of my nephew and the local electrician. I ordered the Mitsubishi MSGZE25VA split system installed this afternoon. The first time starting of the unit is not very cold for the first half an hour. After then,it's running very quiet… Read more
and very cool and very comfortable. This is my first Mitsubishi split system and I never to choose this brand if no recommendation. This new unit is running much better than my old Panasonic split system. Quiet and Cool and 5 years warranty The indoor unit is a bit big.
Worst air conditioner ever! Save your money – This is not the exact model that I purchased but just spreading the word and advising people that this is the worst brand of air conditioning to purchase. We have recently done renovations in our household and decided to use this brand as a local store told us it would give us the beg value for our money however it has done nothing but disappoint,… Read more
only one of the air conditioners actually worked. Initially they all did however within the first two weeks of installation one stopped working. It had air flow however it was not cool and actually made the bedroom it was in hotter than normal room temperature (and no I am not silly and accidentally put it on heat mode) it just genuinely did not cool the room in the slightest. It would have done as much as a cheap, small pedis tool fan, only difference is that this thing cost $900.00. Not only this, it had a timer that no matter if it was cancelled or NOT ON IN THE FIRST PLACE would go off after approximately 15 minutes of use and nt turn back on at all throughout the duration of being switched on. Even if it was turned off for a while and turned back on again it would automatically shut down. (And no it was not that setting that triggers once a room as reached a certain temperature because that is impossible as THE ROOM NEVER COOLED DOWN IN THE FIRST PLACE) we experimented between two of the air conditioners (exact same model) and set them to the same settings and the one that was still functioning cooled the room a substantial amount more (which was actually in a bedroom twice as big) about a month after this the same thing happened to another one of the same air conditioners. So basically my advice is SAVE YOUR MONEY ON A BETTER BRAND
Not bad, but still room for improvement – I put in several MSZGE series heat pumps recently, including 2x MSZGE25KIT. They are definitely quieter than the older MSZGA series units. However, the inverter does not always work as it should - some days, once the set temperature is reached, it will repeatedly cycle between no heat and high heat like a cheap non-inverter unit, rather than… Read more
settle down to a gentle heat. Pretty sure it isn't caused by ice/deicing issues. On days when the inverter behaves, the heat output is stable even as the outside temperature falls from 16 to 5 degrees C in the evening.
When off, the units also consume quite a few watts of standby power. The models above 2.5kW are all under 4 stars energy efficiency - as electricity prices skyrocket this will need to be improved. Reasonably priced, quiet. Unstable heat output, larger models not energy efficient, significant standby power consumption
I find theunit fine, but am disappointed that unlike other makes, the lowest you can set the… Read more (+1 reply)
Cool and quiet in summer, toasty warm in winter – On the basis of a Choice study, we purchased the Mitsubishi Electric unit from Northwest Air Conditioning in Nth Geelong. The guys from Northwest installed it and I have been wrapped with the performance. The unit runs very quietly inside and out. My father-in-law comments every time he comes in about how quite he thinks that the compressor… Read more
unit is. He had a Daikin Inverter split system installed and says that he can hear the compressor unit switching on and off from inside the house.
The Mitsubishi cools our open plan kitchen/lounge (about 40sq m) very nicely.
Good timer functions.
Tidy looking unit.
We could have purchased a cheaper unit, but I am very very glad we didn't. We'll be looking for another Mitsubishi air con for the bedrooms this summer. Super quiet, efficient, loaded with features. Good looking. Worth the extra money. Not the cheapest
Excellent Split Air Conditioners – Have owned 3 2.5 Kw Mitsubshi Inverters for over 3 years. I did a lot of research before buying and studied a Choice comparision. I bought as a result of their research and have found the Mitsubshi excellent to date. Not one fault. I was in a job where-in I interviewed people and on many occassions spoke about air conditioners as I was so glad… Read more
to be interviewing near one. In Qld I did the interviews in high heat and can state that the Mitsubshi systems were the quitetest of all. Panasonics were also fairly well regarded. Steer clear of the expensive makes as the computer modules will cost a bucket of money and the market hype does not normally measure up e.g. Daikin. Inverters have computers modules inside the head and in the motor unit.
Easy to clean the filters
I have a 10 year old Kelvinator. It operates good but is power hungry and I jsut paid $400 for a new computer module that I had to wait 2 months for as Electrolux are slack. Kelvinator were owned by LG and now Electrolux. I hear that Kelvinator under Electrolux should now be avoided. Very economical compared to others. Reliable over the last 3 years. Not one bad word to date.
