Do not use this store! Lost my daughter’s iPad. I took my daughters iPad into the Camberwell store 4 weeks ago and they store has lost my iPad. Apparently they have changed owners and the owner took all the stock to the city store. new back casing has cracked already. The website states 5 years warranty but when we took the phone back they refused to take any liability for this claiming that the warranty was only for internal parts which is crazy as the phone was working perfectly before hand and we only had the casing replaced but they refused any warranty and offered no solutions. I messaged them on their platform before going into the shop and they didn't bother to respond. Be very careful that you full understand what you are signing up for when getting a product repaired by them. This is a cheap product and not an apple original or it would not have broken under normal use. Picture of brand new phone after 2 days attached. I have had apple product for many many years and never had any problems then only reason the phone was damaged originally was I fell off my bike on the tram tracks - it was attached to the handlebars and got stuck in the track and bent

Awful experience – A ZERO STAR REVIEW. I first went to the store on the 2nd December and paid $399 for the back of my IPhone 14 Pro to be repaired. day. The next day I am asked if I would like a purple back or a black back (my phone is white). They didn't have my colour in (despite accepting the service days earlier) and told me to come back tomorrow, again. The phone was finally 'repaired' on the Wednesday after 2 and a half hours, not 30 minutes as advertised. However, immediately after being handed the phone back I can see glue all around the top of my screen. I was told it was dust and he would clean it quickly, same thing again when he handed it back. He told me my phone was very dusty on the inside and this was the issue (funnily enough I've read this on someone else's review too). I accepted the phone and left.
As soon as I inspected the phone, I could see the screen is not flush to the phone and you could see into the top part of my phone. This problem only proceeded to get worse, with the phone making cracking noises when it was touched. I returned back to the store a week later, explained the problem and my phone was 'repaired', but I was told the damage was now due to the damaged frame of the phone, despite this never being diagnosed originally and the frame being attached to the new back they gave me.
Over the next week, the screen continued to get worse and is now no longer in the case of the phone at all. I returned to the store for the third time, explained the problem and asked for a refund as I would have to pay for it to be fixed elsewhere. The staff member (who fixed the phone on the other occasions) refused to give me a refund or give me the details of anyone else to speak to. I then spoke to Consumer VIC who explained the breaches by the store (as they have done with other people in these reviews) and talked me through the process. Unfortunately, this has been unsuccessful as the manager will only give me a refund if he can have my phone over night to put my old smashed phone back back onto the phone, which has apparently been kept from the 2nd December. I, obviously, do not want this store touching my phone again.
Other problems I have had include a random crack on the replacement back, I have not once dropped this phone since the repair and use it minimally to avoid any inevitable further damage. The phone will also heat up dangerously and very easily, specifically in the top corner where the screen is no longer in place. The phone is slow to respond and the brightness is significantly lower.
This whole situation has been truly upsetting, stressful and unnecessary. Not only have I wasted $399, I have a phone which is more broken than it was in the first place, I will have to pay even more to buy a new phone and this one is now not worth any money at all due to counterfeit parts and excessive damage.
I was also told I could come into store to have the phone looked at on Monday (my last desperate attempt at a refund) however whilst already on my way, I checked to see if they were open and was told the manager was not in (despite him asking to see me on that same day).
Warranty may not be given wihtout a reasonable reason!!!!!??????? – My daughter went in with a warranty repair as the screen for her device had only been replaced within a short period. The first time it was broken the technician was told that it was broken by the user so the new screen replacment was paid for. replace the new screen as he said it was impacted when it wasnt, so no warranty!!! They tried to make out that old scratches, marks etc where evidence of impact. These scratches etc where there when the first screen had been replaced. When asked for a written quote with the cause of screen failure they would not do it. What does that tell you?
Poor quality repairs at a premium price – I am unhappy with the quality and support for a replacement LCD I bought and had installed at this store. than a month later I noticed a line of faulty pixels on the LCD. I returned to the store who informed me they would contact the supplier for advice. I visited the store three times in the following 4 weeks to have the problem remedied. I was finally told that the damage was caused by undue pressure on the screen from the case (Spigen branded - reasonably good quality). They have refused to remedy the situation and provided an email for complaint. I send my complaint with timeline, photos and receipt to no reply and have now lodged my complaint with the ACCC.

Absolutely terrible and liars – I did NOT proceed to go through with repair. They quoted me $149 to repair my front screen even though their own website clearly stated $95. They could not understand me (using plain English) or the issue. Show details

Scammer (They are not part of MKC group) and Downright DISGUSTING Service – Took my Macbook to be repaired as the screen was damaged and battery needed replacing. discovering the issue and "fixing" it, I came to pick up my laptop and forked over $380. Then, as soon as I start using the laptop again I get a whole new suit of issues with the trackpad not working, the "new" battery shutting down after 30minutes of attempted use, and the laptop needing 3 force quits to be operational for 5 minutes. I called to complain and figure out what happened and was told to bring my laptop back with the promise that if they caused the issue they would reverse what they did and refund me the full amount. Now my error was not getting this is writing, and after having to travel interstate for a family emergency I returned and called to set a time to come in and drop the laptop off. At this stage I was told that they would not refund me, but rather replace the "new" battery with my old one, refund me $180 and charge me $100 labour cost for this. I was flabbergasted! Absolutely outraged I called the MKC franchise main line to speak to customer support and was then told by them that the Burwood store is not actually part of their group and should not have their company name!!! DO NOT USE THEM. AT ALL. EVER.

Finally took it to Elizabeth st (store 19/147 Elizabeth st, Melbourne) only to be refused repair under warranty (yes replacement is still under warranty) and refused to be given refund by the manager of the Elizabeth St store. I was told by the manager's assistant who used to work for apple that the frame was too damaged from original crack and the replacement screen was always gonna crack. Flinders street store of course did not tell me this when they did original repair and assured me that i was under 90 days warranty for the new screen. Elizabeth st manager did offer to replace my damaged screen "at $10 discount" fully knowing that the repair wont last. After being abused by the manager at Elizabeth st i spoke with James who I assume owns the business over the phone. He asked me to come back this afternoon to have a look. It is going to be 40 degrees today and i am on the other side of the city! Having taken hours out of work to see them in person already i find this response beyond terrible. So do yourself a favour do not use MKC. You are better off getting a new phone!
iPhone battery replacement only worked for 4 months – I payed MKC Repairs to replace my iPhone 6 battery as they were much cheaper than Apple and it worked fine for 4 months then the battery rapidly lost ability to hold a charge for more than an hour of use. I rang MKC and explained this but as they only offer a three month warranty they would not replace my battery without me buying another from them. I would not recommend them for iPhone battery replacement.

cover off- the back which wasnt glued properly had pulled away causing it to crack. He told me it would take a few days to order the back cover. Whilst I was sitting having lunch at work, the phone which had my old cover had fallen out of my pocket and unto some flat 300 wide timber. The drop was less than a foot deep and the phone fell flat on its back. This phone had been dropped more than dozens of times in the past at a much higher drop and was left unaffected. However this time, due to the poor workmanship and lack of care- the back was not sealed properly and had caused a weak point in its overall casing. I brought it back to the shop- Mike the guy told me that I had to pay again to get it fixed. On top of that- he wanted me to pay for the new back for the phone cos he said it was my fault. He is essentially saying that he has sold me a crap case and therefore it was my fault that I took it off my phone and because there wasn't enough glue due to his poor workmanship the back had peeled off as I was taking the phone cover off. No accountability from this dodgy business. Two weeks later, after 3-4 visits back to the shop my phone still has a cracked screen. The only difference is my wallet is $320 lighter with nothing to show for it. Stay well away
Terrible experience to purchase this company’s business – Terrible experience to deal with this company. I purchased mkc repair Brandon park Business on July 2019. After settlement only after 1 week sales figure drop more than half from $8000. Make sure write everything what he told you down on the contract before make payment. I am happy to share my story with you.

Fixed my screen broke my 6 months old phone – Brought my S9+ to these guys fixed the screen ok but speaker wouldn't work brought it back they said nothing wrong with it. In the end the guy said he would put my broken screen back on and throw my money at my face.Absolute disgace.. Stay away from these dodgy operators!!

which they again replaced and now, keeps freezing and can’t use home button function, same with others and sound was compromised to the point where there is barely any sound at all ! Yes, the $50 price tag is also attractive .. for a damn good reason ! Do yourself a service, go elsewhere and get an actual legitimate quality replacement and pay extra if you must because, you will sorely regret it if you do not and also before your products too, are ruined completely . Oh and their stated “wait while they fix” times, are an absolute load of rubbish ! Try 2 and a half to 3 and a half hours each time .
