Avoid shopping with this company. Their process is to dropship items directly to you from China. Any promises that they make on their website about shipping times etc are completely out of their control and subject to the Chinese shipping process, such that they don't even start counting shipping time until your order has arrived in Australia. … Read more

Of course, they'll tell you none of this directly. Their support is slow to respond and unhelpful, offering only canned responses when they do bother to reply.

I paid for express shipping on an order 5 days ago and haven't received a valid tracking number. Aus Post assure me that they have not received any package, yet MA assure me that the item is posted and in transit.

Find somewhere else to buy.

have been in excess of 45 emails regarding the returns, and at least 6 phone calls. They have written on 5 occasions that the refund is being processed and to be patient and to wait 2-3 business days for it to show up in my account, with the first occasion being on 12 February and the last being today (24/02/2026). On 16 and 17 Feb they advised me I did not need to return the goods "due to high shipping costs" but yesterday and today advised by email the money will be refunded only after the goods are received. Yesterday I also received a phone message again that the money had been refunded! Apparently "stalling" in this manner is a common ploy often used by these companies. I am in the process of reporting them to SCAMWATCH.

changing the story, suddenly claiming the amount I paid was only enough for one console — even though I had clearly said from the beginning I was upgrading both. Every reply from them took forever, and when they finally did respond, it was confusing, contradicting, and completely unhelpful. Instead of sending the two items I paid for, they decided on their own to ship ONE console, in a random colour I didn’t even choose. Then for the second item which was already paid for in my original order they told me to just use a $30 store credit to buy it again. Unbelievable. The back-and-forth dragged on so long that by the time they sorted anything out, Christmas was basically ruined. The communication was slow, unprofessional, and honestly felt like they were trying to dodge responsibility at every step. I paid for two consoles. I needed two consoles. They made it as difficult as possible to get what I paid for. Save yourself the stress and shop somewhere else.

In my case gold cutlery can be found on a lot of other websites and stores who delivery like Amazon or Temu. Buyers beware. You’ve been warned about this company. Aussies ADDED items to the order. When we queried it, they remove the (hmm), extra items but REFUSED to cancel the order, claiming it had been shipped. (All this inside 3 hours on a Saturday afternoon) * contacted the Bank, indicating it was a fraudulent sale and they refunded the monies and initiated an investigation with Visa * tried several times to have the order cancelled (remember, it had been shipped) and the finally 2 weeks later, notification of delivery via Couriers Please. * The couriers were excellent in this case as we told them it was a fraudulent sale, and they intervened, preventing delivery.. Delivery not accepted. * Modern Aussies then offered a refund (less $10 shipping fee on order that was free shipping) NOW THIS IS THE BEST BIT * ACCC are aware that Modern Aussies are a GHOST SHOP..pretending to be in Australia. No ABN registered to allow for them to have a .com.au domain. Fake contact phone and business address. * Website pricing is predatory * Don't confirm to Australian consumer protection rules * The Visa investigation was in our favor, so Modern Aussies lost their funds and the goods that they forcefully delivered.

Ordered a few items some are ok cheap looking like the sweeper & windowsill track cleaners are a bit flimsy but the vacumn that has ultraviolet and cleans dustmites is great does a brilliant job on cleaning lounge bed all the dog hair and whatever else you pick up Show reply

find the same item on Shein and Temu for $10 or less, so I found out later. Clearly states on website if you're not satisfied with your purchase, there's a 30 day money back guarantee. I contacted them for a refund and was told that I could only get one if the item was faulty (NOT WHAT THE SITE SAYS AND I HAVE PROOF). I was offered a store voucher for less than the price of the item, I said "no, I want a full refund" I have been through PayPal and opened a case but they sided with the seller, so now I'm going through VCAT. This is Australia, we are entitled to our money back if not satisfied with a purchase and where is your contact phone number, stop hiding behind a computer.. If I could give zero stars I would. Cheap Chinese junk. Have been bombarded since my review previously. Offer me money and a refund to take down my negative review. I purchased a travel iron/ steam iron. When received was clearly used before as was water in its tank. Very misleading in advertising as Modern Aussies as all goods are sent from China. I have had to block them to stop the continuous emails.
