The installation process was seamless. The contractors were professional, thorough, and left the site spotless once the job was done. The electricians were also excellent — fast, professional, and took the time to explain the remotes and features clearly.

I’ve now had the shutters for a few weeks and they’ve already become one of the best features of my new home. The system is easy to use, with the option of controlling everything via the mobile app or the remotes. The finish is clean, they provide excellent block-out (perfect for night shift), and I couldn’t be happier with the result.

Highly recommend Modern for anyone considering roller shutters.

Poor policy – Got told I had to have my husband home for the quote, ridiculous policy as he couldn’t really care less about the shutters I buy. Pushy sales lady over the phone, will be taking my business elsewhere

them he wouldn’t be there for the appointment, they wanted to rearrange so he would be there. I obviously told them that was not necessary in the slightest and I would keep the appointment as scheduled. Then, they just didn’t even bother to turn up! Or even let me know they weren’t coming! Highly rude, offensive and disrespectful behaviour. It seems obvious they didn’t attend the appointment because I had told them my husband wouldn’t be present! Why there seems to be an assumption that a woman couldn’t possibly be the breadwinner and be capable of making large financial decisions without her ‘husband’ present is so far out of touch, I can hardly believe I have experienced it in this day of age. Coupled with the rudeness of standing me up, just cements the level of unprofessionalism, disrespect and sexist attitude this company has. I will be happily taking my business elsewhere.

K – we love the installation of our roller shutters on all 4 bedrooms. Dark and cool which is what we wanted. the beep and the quote guy kept on talking before giving the better deal. but anyway you expect the fake calls, they are salesman after all. someone came out the following morning to measure which was a surprise as we were not told he was coming, its lucky i was home, then he said they had an opening maybe thursday to which i said yes, but wasnt told a time or whether that day was confirmed (he went to the front of the house to finish measuring then drove off). to another surprise to see someone on the thursday morning here to install, again lucky i was home, but would have been better to have that all confirmed the day prior. We were kept in the dark through all the organisation which is why you might have such bad reviews via google, you jus need to talk to the customer about what is actually happening. The quote we got is different to what you actually pay a heads up for anyone else.

Privacy and aesthetics ✅ – Great for privacy and looks very good. On installation day, there was a misunderstanding on how many windows to be installed. Company you should steer clear from – Company is no good, terrible customer service, still waiting for my blind to get fixed its been 4 months since I first called. People never in the office to take phone calls always "out of town atm".

Get multiple quotes people – Son had the modern group quote on 2 small roller shutters and 2 outdoor blinds bloke that came out quoted about $14000 which was more $9000 in excess of other quotes from companies that actually wanted to do the work .The quote did not include a quote number or name of salesperson as this person was obviously just trying it on a young not so neive first home owner.GET MULTIPLE QIOTES PEOPLE Show details

Terrible after service – Modern Group are good at taking your money and installing the job, BUT if something breaks you have no chance in getting it fixed by this company. follow up service – Very disappointed with follow up service . My mother has 3 blinds that stopped functioning several years ago . Multiple phone calls and emails to company with no reply or advice . She has been stuck with half open blinds and company has no interest in follow up assistance since they came from interstate and sold her these products through a door to door salesman. Show details

finish the job. The angst of constantly calling them to is not worth it. The quality is rubbish and the bifold doors don’t even close properly. I wish I had never heard of this company and I urge anybody considering them to look elsewhere. Never again will I have anything to do with this company, the experience has been extremely disappointing.

shutters installed on 3 windows November 2020. There were a few problems which I found which were VERY difficult in getting fixed. They put a hole through my by-rock and initially wouldn't fix and the timber in the eaves was left burnt from them cutting it. It took months to get they wall fixed with multiple calls and emails and being pushed from person to person to eventually have it fixed but painted with the incorrect colour, and the external paint issues ignored. Apparently this is the best they can do. Now I still get calls from them trying to sell more products all the time even with telling them to remove my name and number from the list.

Do not use this company – Ordered Plantation shutters Aug 2020 paid deposit installed Dec 2020 understanding COVID19 may have held up production MAYBE but some had to be re made and re supplied but still paid 3/4 of the outstanding good gesture now June 2021 and still no response as to when job will be complete or the re work on installation is required on the sliding door… Read more

installed one of which was much wider. Jarryd explained the wider shutter would require a bigger motor as it worked harder. He gave a detailed explanation on all parts including axle etc. Installation came sooner than promised time frame. Installer Paul did a magnificent job. Very efficient and professional installation. Even vacuumed after completion. Finished product definitely enhances the look of our home. Would recommend highly.

Bad Communication – I called them to get a quote on some roller Shutters around my house. I made sure I was home when they wanted to come. asking what was going on they said that they will get someone to get back to me ASAP every time (still waiting) I’ve called agin and ask to talk to the manager and he said he was going to get onto it ASAP and he’s sorry. Poor customer service – Marketing company contacted me yesterday promising "massive savings", when the sales rep came out she was bagging "marketing" and said, did you think we were going to put it on for free.
