Returning this watch tomorrow – Set up of the watch required intervention. GPS had my son travel from Brisbane to Kansas in USA in 30 mins. Multiple SOS alerts daily that are false. Screen protector has smashed on the first day of use cutting fingers on the glass. Battery life is absolutely crap. Returning this item to Costco tomorrow and replacing it with an old phone and SIM card. Very poor product 1 star. Show details

Waste of money very unreliable – Only had the watch for 8 months and now won't charge or turn on. It certainly wasn't used every day so wear and tear cannot be used as an excuse. Now told it will cost me $79.95 to be repaired. When it was working, tracking rarely worked, would continually say off line so no calls or texts would work. Should have just bought a phone instead. Definitely do not recommend this watch.

Lack of communication – Once we leave the house I can’t get network on the 3G I can only communicate with my daughter when she is connected to my home wifi. When I try to ring it states call failed. Tried to contact support they responded once with a suggestion which wasn’t relevant then did not respond to further emails

Best thing I ever bought for my daughter – Our Moochie watch has had a couple of hiccups but I think that's only been due to user error. Honestly its been the best thing I've ever bought my daughter. Don’t buy one – I bought my 9 yr old son a Moochie 5 weeks ago. The pedometer isn’t downloaded on the phone, I informed Moochie help desk the day I bought the watch. And still have not received a response from the team. And now the gps is not working.

kids are being kids. The most noticeable feature I like about the watch is the water resistance feature. This was the deal maker for me. However, I cannot say the same for the Moochies App. This app is clunky, looks outdated and needs a fresh look. It would also be good to be able to: - use your own SIM card - warn parents when the watch is off or battery level is low - remotely turn the Microphone on from the app

The watch is a great device for young children and peace of mind for parents. My son is ten and this is a good substitute for a phone.

Moochie will not get signal at all, or only in certain areas, which defeat the purpose. In terms of adding contacts, for family members is great as usually they all have their phones, but with friends, they all will need their parents to download the app to be able to call/send messages to each other or to have a Moochie watch as well. The battery does not last much! My daughter would take it to school and by the time the school day ended, her watch was off. At the moment we have suspended the service and use the watch for the alarm clock. When suspending the plan, the customer service was great and timely. In overall, the product works as advertised but: 1. Consider that you need to get on a monthly mobile plan for it to work. 2. A good network coverage is key to make the most of it. 3. If they (kids) can't have their friends added, they more likely will get discouraged as family members may not be "exciting" enough for them to hold on to their watches.

Broken already! – We purchased this yesterday, and already the speaker has stopped working! We wanted this specifically for the coming fortnight, almost $200 later, we don't have a functional product. Regret purchasing :(

Great concept yet not worth the $ – Great concept, however execution is not there! Unfortunately this product is extremely glitchy, temperamental, not worth the money or the monthly fee for the plan. I wouldn’t recommend this product.

Great product if it did what it was supposed to do – It’s in our opinion this is a great product for the short term. phone.. (Took over 2 months of non stop emails and calls backwards and forwards to get this far) then told you need to pay for post and then to pay to have it repaired due to being out of warranty (watch was 16 months old and now useless) and have already paid for 3 watch bands the first one broke in less than a month. Moochies please don’t ask me to contact customer service again, the watch still has the same problem and I am still the administrator and can’t message my son neither can his carer or family because your app does not recognise an administrator of the watch we have been through numerous people there trying to fix and don’t want to pay more. We paid good money for a product that seemed like a great idea for our son. Wished we looked elsewhere. In the months of trying to fix remember you will still be paying for the SIM card. The money and more importantly support are just not worth it. Hope this helps others

Total waste of money GPS is absolutely crap – Not impressed by at all sometimes the GPS is close to accurate within a couple of hundred and other times it says my daughter is standing out on the freeway about 10 km away while she is standing right next to me these aren't worth the money I believe they pray on parents fears to protect their kids do not buy waste of money waste of time

Rubbish product! – Only bought it at Xmas for our 9 year old Daughter ,already been replaced once because it broke,now after not even 5 months you have too recharge it every 3 hours,even if you're not wearing it. Poor quality,save your money ,look elsewhere for better quality,so you're not dissapointed!! Great idea,very poor quality & no storefront makes it even harder.

tracking to every 10 minutes and then 30 minutes. Watch again went flat before the day was over. I then had to change tracking to 60 minutes because this is the only way the watch is able to get through the day.

I set up ‘safe zones’ and the alarm goes off every 10 minutes saying that she’s left the safe zone when she was in fact asleep in her bed!

The tracking function doesn’t work at all. It tells me that she is on the opposite side of town when she’s at school and things like that.

Not very helpful having a watch that doesn’t tell you where she is.

Safe zones are no longer able to be turned on as I am sick of being woken to alarms saying she’s left the safe zone when she hasn’t.

Gallery does not upload the pictures that she has taken at all & I know that she has taken numerous pictures on her watch.

Watch constantly tells me ‘watch Offline’ when is fully charged.

If my daughter sends me any more than three messages the app glitches and will not let me into the ‘messages’ part of the app.

We had a bus incident where my daughter was dropped off at the wrong bus spot and I couldn’t locate her. She spent half an hour crying her eyes out and the police had to be called despite the fact that she had the watch on - NOT HELPFUL

I love that she can only call / message those who are pre-programmed into the watch but that is just about the only thing that I like about it. Buying a cheap phone would have been a much better option.

Save yourself the drama and just buy your kid a phone

Worst customer service – I have used this for a week for my son. Location showing 6 km some where in the bush , when he is with us at home. Moochies still deduct $$ for the service which we dont use.

Highly recommend – My son has now had his watch for a week and he loves it, it's a very good way to keep in touch it also gives an accurate location to where he is and it is very easy to use and set up. break these things in minutes not because the watch is poor quality but because kids seem to have a nack of being able to break the unbreakable with in seconds lol. We had a glitch with it yesterday sunday the 29th March 2020 so I messaged Moochies through their facebook page and to my surprise they replied on a sunday and during this crisis. The customer service was exceptional very quick replies with very accurate information also very polite and professional I spoke with Chloe she was very understanding of the situation and was very reassuring that the matter what be solved in a timely manner which it was, I was very impressed with the customer service it was very pleasant dealing with Chloe she is definitely a credit to the company. Again I am happy to highly recommend Moochies.

tried to call the watch from the app interface and the watch kept rejecting my calls. I tried calling from the watch to my phone and it worked ok. Tried calling from outside the app using the normal phone interface and it worked ok. Conclusion the app is buggy. The build quality of the product is not like the photos on any of the website. It is cheap plastic. Even the screen is plastic which will be all scratched after a very short time. The UI on the watch is very laggy and takes a long time to respond, something you don't expect in this modern age. Location does not seem as accurate as stated on their website. Call audio quality is also very poor.

I regret purchasing this and will returning it for a refund. It is cheap quality which will not last more than a few months. There are much better watches out there.

Not suitable for everyone – Bought a Moochie watch for my son with high hopes. Their website says it has GPS but this is a deception. It doesn't connect with Satellites as the name suggests but rather uses cell tower triangulation which is completely useless in an area that has poor reception and hardly any cell towers. at any time. Anywhere in the world." A straight up lie because it won't work in 95% of Australia. Their is no warning on their website that the watch requires a good voda phone network. If that was clearly mentioned I never would have bought one. I emailed them about my issues but because I purchased the item second hand they didn't even email back to me. Even though I believed I was purchasing the item brand new in box. They couldn't even confirm with me if that was the case or not. I just wish I had seen these reviews before I purchased. Item likely would be good in a good service area as it has not had any physical issues but almost none of the functions are reliable due to the poor reception.

Quality not great for price – Area where watch band joins watch rusted out in less than one month (after getting wet once! Replaced through Kogan on warranty with no issues though, which was good, but did require a complete change of sim etc which was a pain). sometimes great (within meters) and sometimes very poor (as in: across the other side of the state, or occasionally a different country altogether). The website lacks the functionality to change sims / delete sim plans and is not located at all in the app (which it should be). The “class-mode” functionality is set in 30 minute blocks which does not fit with our school. At one point, an alarm was set on the watch that we could not control in the app - again, full app control should be possible.

For us, the two positives are that it states the best waterproof rating of any watch tracker for kids and that it has allowed us to communicate with our daughter when she is in times of high stress.

Will I buy another for my son? Yes - but only if no other manufacturer has the same waterproof rating at that time. Otherwise, I’m jumping-ship.

Love it!! – On our 3rd generation of watch, more impressed each time. Can honestly say that they are constantly updating to iron out identified kinks. Customer service is second to none (Andrew is a legend!), couldn’t be more impressed. Waste of money – You have to pay monthly for the watch to work. Its not easy to set up and not as entertaining as it should be for a child. My daughter’s one worked for less than two months and all of the sudden the watch stopped working. Tried to solve the issue with technical support but they couldn’t and refused giving me a refund. Ive got a very frustrated child at home now and feel like i wasted 120 pounds!
