Loafers - I wish I had’ve seen these reviews before I purchased - SHEIN is better! I cannot get the stench of chemicals from these shoes out of my apartment. They are tiny, so don’t fit and the colour is not the same as on the website. NOW they want me to pay to return them to China even though called ‘mood Melbourne’ and not my change of mind! Poor quality dress, certainly nothing close to what the picture displayed. Returned item only to find out based in China. Had to pay for return shipping, dress sat in customs for 3mths only to not clear and I have no refund. Buyer beware. Show details

forwarded all this info onto paypal but the informed me the were deducting refund from my account and finding in favour of seller. i have tried multiple times to contact seller without success. bad experience from seller and paypal
The shoes I bought from this retailer I later found on other sites for a fraction of the cost. The stitching came undone less than 2 months after I received them, with irregular wearing of them. I contacted them asking for a replacement or refund but because it did not happen within one month of purchase, they would do nothing. KEEP CLEAR OF THEM. I only gave one star because I could not post review without choosing a star.
I wouldn’t even give 1 star. The time they’ve consumed, the frustration they have caused..It’s absolutely not worth it.
The worst shopping experience I’ve ever had. I returned the items because the quality was extremely poor, yet I still haven’t received my refund. This seller doesn’t even deserve one star — I only selected one because the system requires it. The entire experience feels like a scam. Although the website is called MoodMelbourne, the products are… Read more
shipped directly from China, with quality nothing like what is advertised. I’ve attached photos comparing what was shown on their website with what I actually received. I hope no one else falls for this scam.
This site is a scam; I couldn't rate them zero. If you want to avoid being ripped off, please heed these reviews and refrain from purchasing items from this website. They are ripping each of us off by drop shipping products from China with misleading pictures. The products are nothing like what is advertised. The refund policy does not specify… Read more
that you must return items to China within 30 days, but these guys take 15 days to do so. In other words, once you've purchased, you can say goodbye to your money as you won't be able to use any of these products. They use the link to gather your details in China, and then neither will you have the item nor get a refund. I have lodged an ACCC and FAIR TRADING complaint against this dodgy e-commerce scam that is affecting Australians. Please help shut down this business and protect Australians.
I bought a pair of black ankle boots from Mood Melbourne - Size 10. It took a few weeks to arrive and they are so small. They are about a size 7. No sizing on them so you cannot tell but I measured them and they are about 19cm in length. This is most defiantly not a Size 10. They had scuff marks on the bottom. Worn! no tags on the inside,… Read more
no branding, nothing. Straight away I emailed them - literally within 15 mins of having them delivered and it took numerous emails and communication back and forth (with Mood wanting photos and measurements of the shoe??WTH) to finally have them accept a return at my own expense. This communication took 10 days. Returning is not straight forward. Seems MOOD Melbourne contract out their sales and my boots are from a personal lady in China!.. So I have to pack (as if never opened) - send to the lady in China, place a tracking on it, take a photo and send the picture to MOOD customer service. Retuning at my own expense. $39!! The boots cost $70 plus postage to get them!. We work very hard for our money. So I would expect my order to be remotely the size I ordered AND NEW! Needless to say, my 1st order with them so they have lost a lot of money from me. If they had not ripped me off with this item I would have been a returning customer and spent more. But they have lost my money. Be warned!! MOOD Melbourne are terrible.
On cloud mens running shoes were ake product. It is not the real product. Without box possible used. Show details
Avoid this company at all cost. If you need to return an item you must return it to China - the company put all return costs on the customer, as well as the taxes and import duties Chinese Customs charge. The cost to send something to China is significantly more expensive than within Australia, that’s not including the customs fees you must also… Read more
pay.
This detail is not clearly articulated in the refund policy. They state that the refund is the customers responsibility, however when returning to an Australian address this is reasonable. What the company fails to maintain transparency over is that the return is to a Chinese based address.
Secondly they use false advertising - in one instance the company are posting a photo of a Zara price tag on a jacket which has become quite popular, and it’s obvious when you receive the item is not a genuine product.
My jacket upon arrival had incomplete stitching and a small hole that had been amended - the company did not consider this a faulty item.
They are also unwilling to provide their ABN- major red flag.
Everyone should be reporting this company to the ACCC.

If I could give them no stars I would! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! I bought through PayPal thinking I’d be covered…they know how to string you along long enough not to be able to allow you to get your money back. If you want money back from then you need to pay to send it back to China within 30 days…with no guarantees. Terrible ugly nylon coats… Read more
arrived compared to the beautiful velvet ones in the website. Ugly plastic boots arrived instead of the the beautiful leather ones on the website! After many waste of time conversations with their AI bot, then a hard fought conversation (hard to find how) with PayPal (you have 30 days here too despite what it says on the PayPal dispute info)…I got some money back. NEVER AGAIN
I dont not recommend buying any product from thos company at all. You can not get a refund even though it's states you can befor 30 day, My shoes arrive yesterday and they are way to small and very skinny in width. I dont even have wide feet. The boot is an incorrect make both in length and width I'm a ladies 9. I wrote to them asking for the… Read more
return details they said I have to exchange the product and also pay an extra FEE OF $16.99...FOR WHAT? I PAID $90 FOR THE BOOTS, THAT ARE NOT WORTH $90. GIVE ME MY FULL REFUND... AND NO I AM NOT GIVING YOU ANY MORE OF MY MONEY. IVE REPORTED THIS COMPANY. NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN. ITS NOT FROM MELBOURNE ITS SENT FROM HONG KONG, NO WONDER WHY THEY ARE SMALL AND NASTY ASIAN MADE....THEY LOOK LIKE PLASTIC....
One star too many! Boots looked nothing like the photo online, cheap & nasty. I googled the company, which I should have done prior to spending $130 (reduced $100) & found hundreds of complaints online much the same as mine although people seeking redress got the run around so I didn’t bother trying.
Took two months for my order to arrive. Extremely poor quality clothing which looks nothing like the advertised product. You have to pay for returns and it’s international so customs fees apply. Show details
I bought 3 item's from mood clothing-melbourne and when I received them I found they were not even fit to be used in anyway. The fabric felt like offcuts only and the edges were not finished at all. They were raw & not trimmed in any way. They were all unwearable. When I attempted to call them I was advised the queue was 3 hours. Then after… Read more
checking I found that they don't have any locations in australia and any faulty goods need to be returned to china at my expense. Mood-melbourne are completely off my list now and I'm trying to make people aware of what happened to me. Where do these companies come from? Seriously not impressed! Goodbye mood-melbourne.
Do not buy from this company. On the website they had a beautiful pair of Boho denim jeans but when the package arrived the pants were nothing like it. They were polyester. They said that they would write refund the money if I send them back, but I have to pay for postage to China which will probably cost a fortune. I feel very stupid that I… Read more
didn’t read reviews first and after reading these reviews there are probably no point sending it back as other people are saying that they never got their money back.

intact, which it was mind you I never even got a chance to try it on coz it wouldn’t go past my arms, I got 3 sizes bigger because I wanted loose fit! It took over 3 weeks to receive it and took me a day to go and post it back and they still haven’t received it, this happened in October 2025 and we’re in Feb 2026 and their latest update is that it’s sitting at customs in china and I need to pay to have it released!!! DO NOT BUY THEIR RUBBISH!
Follow-up · I beg you whoever is reading this and considering it…. DONT DO IT! Their quality is RUBBISH, smells like rubbish, looks like rubbish because it is RUBBISH! I think the replies from ELISA is actually a robot! If you want to throw your money away then by all means go right ahead! I have reported them to the ACCC

gatherings", the dress I received was a printed fabric dress- no embroidery, nothing like the fabric in the beautiful pictures and certainly NOT SPECIAL IN ANY WAY. Totally false advertising. I too believed the company was Australian and in Melbourne and was extremely disappointed to find i needed to send the dress back to China for a refund. It cost $26 to post it back. I wonder if I will get any refund?
Follow-up · I contacted Mood Melbourne by email- it is the only method of contact and asked for a refund. They sent me instructions and the address to return the dress to China. I followed all the instructions. I emailed Mood Melbourne photos of the package that included the tracking number. I asked that they contact me when they received it. They return… Read more
Follow-up · It is now February 2026 and the dress is still stuck in the Chinese post at Ningbow. No refund.
Update- I’ve contacted Mood Melbourne once again to complain that my return is still sitting in China customs awaiting customs fee. That hasn’t and likely won’t happen, and secondly Mood Melbourne responded that outside of 90 days they no longer… Read more
treat this as an issue. Goodbye to my $107. I’ve learned a huge lesson from this experience!!
Buyer beware!!!! I was hooked and excited about ordering on the lovely website with nice clothing selection until my order arrived. Website claims refund possible but at buyer’s expense. However, my hideous $70 plastic raincoat cost me $30 to return, not to Melbourne Australia, but to China. My return started on September 24 2025 and we are now January 5 2026 and after 6 requests for refund, we are still waiting on customs clearance in China. This still does not confirm that I will even receive a refund because I’m told it is at their discretion. Recap…This is a China company, that has nothing to do with Melbourne Australia! Any return is at your expense to China and customs takes month. I am only writing this now because I didn’t want to jeopardise my refund with a poor review. I would give no star rating if I could except the girl [Name Removed] from Mood Melbourne seems sweet. Go shop at Temu for similar quality, they are less expensive at least returns are simple.
Follow-up · Update- 14 March- Beware!! I’m still awaiting my refund. 5 months now and my returned package is still in customs in China. A refund is not offered until the package is received by the Mood Melbourne in China (known as another name in China), customs fee to be paid, then the product needs inspection before they decide to offer my refund. I took… Read more

Bought the worst quality dress I've ever seen from this sham company. Their return policy is giving you a dodgy address in Shanghai where they know Chinese custom holds your parcel till you pay duty tax, which in short means you never see the $65 ugly dress or your $20 postage fee again. Total cost of lesson learnt....$85. Show details
I returned a pair of sneakers to this company because they were unsatisfactory, and I received incredibly poor customer service. The item was sent back to China on December 9th 2025. It is now the 5th of February, and I am still waiting for my refund. Please do not buy anything from this company. The fact that they call themselves 'Mood Melbourne' and the organisation resides in China should have been a red flag for me. Show details
Don’t buy from this company. Quality is appalling. Descriptions inaccurate. The company is based in China and refuse to give my money back despite following their return policy. They actually would not accept the delivery when it arrived back back in China. The company is a scam Show details
I would give 0 stars if I could. Shoes were 0 quality too. Business is in China not Melbourne. Still waiting for refund after 5 mths saying they're still in customs??? Had to pay return postage to China. Stay clear of this dodgy business!!!
This is a big SCAM. The quality of the clothes is terrible and you will never see your money back. I paid 80 USD for the return shipping and have been put off for 7 months regarding the refund.
Please BEWARE of Mood Melbourne and DO NOT purchase from this company. Their customer service is extremely poor. I purchased a black dress in July 2025, and when it arrived, it was very poorly made, size was big and the fabric felt cheap. I returned the item shortly after. Fast forward to January 2026, after numerous emails back and forth with… Read more
Elisa of Mood Melbourne, I still have not received a refund. She informed me that their policy requires the warehouse to receive the returned item before a refund can be processed. However, the parcel was sent via Australia Post to their China warehouse and was later returned to me as rejected and unclaimed in Jan 2026.
This was Elisa’s response after advising her of the return of the package sent:
“We kindly ask that you contact the postal service directly so they can investigate the matter and provide a suitable solution. The order has not arrived at the warehouse, so we are unable to proceed with a refund. Please note that, in accordance with our policy, refunds can only be issued once the returned parcel has been successfully received and inspected at our warehouse.”
This company is making the refund process unnecessarily difficult and very frustrating! I have done my part by returning the item as instructed, yet I am being left without support or resolution. I’ve attached the order details and return package per Aus Post. I’ve deleted my contact details and signature on the package for privacy reasons but you can see the correct recipient named LV Wenjing and mailing address of their warehouse in China .
Regardless of the amount, this is about basic accountability and customer service, both of which this company clearly lacks.

I received a large order of clothing and shoes, it was far from the quality advertised and I sent my package back to china only to be told it was stuck at customs because the seller will not pay their custom fees. The package has since returned to Australia, the whole experience has been very expensive and stressful. For anyone wanting to report… Read more

Bought three dresses in June 2025, they arrived, materials being like plastic (not cotton), returned as per instructions (to China!), had to pay for that. Today, in January 2026, the parcel was returned to me citing “address doesn’t exist”. Beware, beware, beware of this company - may they quickly disappear, because it’s a total scam!
