Absolute garbage. I bougght a monitor from them, and not only was it more expensive than my old one, it looks almost identical. In my years of playing games I have never broken anything before, but this monitor and its forced OLED Panel Care almost made me, I will 100% be grabbing a hammer and destroying this once I buy a new monitor

The MSI MEG Ai1300P PSU is a disaster. It was installed in a PC with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX 5080, 32GB RAM, and a 4TB NVMe SSD. After about 50 minutes of playing Call of Duty: Season 6, the PC suddenly shut down. When I pressed the power button afterward, I could only hear a clicking noise. I initially thought the motherboard had failed. However,… Read more

after returning the system to Centre Com, their technician confirmed the motherboard was perfectly fine. I then purchased a Corsair 850W PSU from Scorptec, installed it, and the PC worked without any issues. What a mess from MSI’s power supply—do not buy MSI products.

I purchased an MSI motherboard from Amazon Australia, well within the warranty period. MSI later refused to replace the product, claiming it was sourced from Amazon USA. disclosed this earlier, I would have avoided unnecessary shipping costs.

Despite the product being under warranty, MSI Australia failed to honour a replacement. This appears inconsistent with Australian Consumer Law requirements regarding consumer guarantees and reasonable remedies.

Unfortunately, this is not my first negative experience with MSI. Previously, I returned an MSI liquid cooler and never received a replacement or the returned item. During that process, there were clear disputes between the retailer and MSI’s RMA team, resulting in delays and no proper resolution.

Overall, MSI Australia’s customer service and warranty handling have been extremely poor, causing both financial loss and inconvenience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend MSI products or support in Australia.

Purchased a MSI creator z16 laptop in July 2024 and in less than a year the “O” key is unresponsive and the backlight key doesn’t work, the headphone jack is faulty. It overheats and the battery life is very short - not worth the price point of $2700. I want a refund but the business I purchased it from JW computers are saying these aren’t major… Read more

faults and will only repair as it is still in warranty thankfully! The inspection by MSI also said they couldn’t replicate the “O” key not working - thank goodness I have video proof- see attached - they blatantly lied about that ! It’s a known issue and is major fault yet the won’t refund.

Inferior product and poor warranty claim/customer service. My son had his laptop for approximately 6 months and suddenly the touch pad stopped working. After trying absolutely everything we possibly could, we could not even find the drive for the… Read more

touchpad. It was sent back to MSI for repair. I received no information after a week and reached out to them. They said they are busy and it will take awhile before I get informed. Received the laptop 2 days later without any notification and was dropped at my doorstep with no one home. I live on a main road and could easily have been stolen. They left a note in the box saying the connection was loose with the touchpad and they fixed it. Within a week the backlights of the keyboard were flickering, the laptop would go to lock screen during use, would lag when trying to log into computer, would need to do a force shut down. Contacted MSI again and asked for a refund or replacement with new laptop. MSI said they can only offer a refurbished computer. I advised MSI I do not have any confidence with their repair team as they caused more issues when they sent it back. They said I would need to return to UMart if I wanted a refund. Decided to take it back to UMart (where purchased) for repair again. At this stage a portion of the keyboard became dull. The worker could clearly see there was an issue with the lighting on the keyboard. He sent it in for repair with MSI. A couple weeks later we were told to pick it up. My husband went to get it and as soon as they turned on the computer, you could see the keyboard lights were not fixed. MSI said they ran extensive tests and there was nothing wrong with the laptop. The worker could clearly see the issue with the keyboard and my husband told the store he does not want the laptop back, he wants a refund. In the meantime I sent multiple emails to both MSI and UMart. MSI responded saying there is nothing wrong with the laptop, UMart never responded to a single email. After 2 weeks we receive an automated email from UMart saying our laptop is ready to be picked up. As UMart had not bothered to respond to a single email, my husband called them and demanded answers. Suddenly their warranty team emailed saying there is nothing wrong with the laptop and they cannot offer a refund so we need to pick it up. After questioning why not a single repair person has seen the issue with the keyboard but everyone else can (including their worker), they did admit that the worker did see the issue but they do not determine whether a warranty claim should be approved. He also said the warranty team decided 'Following the assessment, MSI have denied warranty on the basis that the keyboard is operating within design specifications and all keys are illuminated. We have independently reviewed the product against the guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law and do not believe the condition of the keyboard meets the standard for a fault or constitutes misrepresentation of the product.' So basically the lights aren't functioning properly as advertised but it's 'good enough' so I need to just deal with it. After all of this I have looked up reviews for MSI and it's clear this is a pattern for them. Their laptops do not function as advertised and they will not provide a refund. Stay away from them, worst customer service I've experienced.

Follow-up  · What would have improved the repair process? Additional communication along the way. MSI admitting that there is an issue would have helped a lot. Only when I told them multiple times that the store person had seen the issue every time, did they finally admit that yes the worker did say that, but they are not in charge of warranty claims. What… Read more

Currently using my second MSI gaming laptop for both hobby & work. These are absolutely beautiful & flawless machines. heavy! My laptop is on virtually all day during the week, carried around, open & closed countless times daily & it's connectable to almost every device I find in the classroom. Mine mostly gets used for office documents, presentations, playing music, streaming, audio editing, gaming, watching movies & reading. Not once has there been any issues connecting to different networks or campuses at work. Having a laptop that is speedy is paramount when you're teaching secondary school kids. What's the funniest part about using this MSI for work, (instead if the classic Education Department Lenovo!) is how often I get compliments & enthusiasm when a new class notices my MSI for the first time. When the students discover what laptop I'm using, it's immediate "cool teacher cred!"

MSI Prestige Studio 16inch 13th Gen Intel core (14 cores), i9 with 2TB SSD drive, purchase July 2024 – This is a bit of a read but there’s a lot to talk about…. I have used the same brand top end laptop for more than 25 years and still have the last 4 in excellent working order, albeit with obsolete technology being the only reason for replacing them. I saw the specs of the MSI Prestige Studio 16inch 13th Gen Intel core (14 cores), i9 with 2TB SSD… Read more

drive and couldn't go past its value for money, with Windows 11 Home included. I went for a gaming type machine, because I wanted something robust with longevity. MSI offered the all-round Laptop which I have been using for one month now for a not for profit Association and personal use. Even my computer expert who migrated all the apps, files, data etc, to it, commented on its blistering speed, beautiful display and QHD screen (165Hertz refresh rate), with backlit keyboard. Took me a couple of hours to get the hang of the touchpad but after that I no longer take a mouse with me as it’s just as fast. The keyboard swap between US, UK and AUS is a breeze. This computer takes 18 seconds from pressing the power key to load everything and be ready to go. That is incredible considering the stuff it has to load and handle. The MSI USB Gen2 docking station I bought is something else with every type of connection I need to run NAS systems, DP connection and the works. I connected a 3 port USB 3.2 hub into the Dock which I put Bluetooth Keyboard & Mouse, printer and an 8TB ESATA drop in drive into it, to keep the tower relatively free. I was even more impressed with the docking station, as it has its own power source to run the laptop, so I could just keep the 150w power source in my travel bag for when I go off site. On the laptop USB C connector, I have attached a cable to run down near my remote 101 keyboard so I can connect anything to it, like mobile phones and any other USB devices. With The second monitor using the DP cable, I have the best of all worlds. The graphics card is good too, as really big jobs don’t lock it up and the 32gb RAM has it singing along with the laptop dual fans whirring up when it’s under big loads. I also run a laptop cooling fan underneath it to give the dual laptop fans a chance to keep the system cool. The MSI Centre hardware monitoring and other features are instantly accessible, and it has a system restore and boot but I have been using AOEMI backupper for years, so stayed with that. I connected everything through a smart plug, and simply turn everything on and off with my android Phone or Watch. Why a 16-inch screen? How could MSI possibly fit all the technology into a 13 inch compact and as you get older it’s so much easier to see what’s going on with this fantastic QHD screen. The 2.1 kg weight is not an issue, as it’s only 17mm thick, and as I said before so full of technology and to top it off has a full metal body, which wipes the floor against plastic models, as it could take a knock on the corner without a piece braking off like the plastic laptops are prone to do. The fingerprint sensor is brilliant as it works every time, even with slightly moist fingertips and the Web Cam lock switch is a really great idea. I rarely use the built in speakers, but they are clear for 2 watters, however I have a Bose desktop stereo system with the big woofer box under the table for when I want to play top of the range FLAC tracks. I added an extra year warranty and took advantage of the extra 3 months bonus, so I have 3 years and 3 months now. I genuinely hope I am still as wrapped in this laptop in 2 years time I bought this laptop from UMART, as I’ve been dealing with them for a quarter of a century now, so I trust them for my online purchases.

About warranty issues and MSI Returns setup. For a decade now I have constantly bought MSI laptops Gt72s, Gt76 DT 10sgs and Gt77 HX 13vi. the problem. I contacted MSI through email with some error pictures which promoted the repair team to send me details to send back by Star track my laptop. I was contacted by email from MSI repair team and explained a new motherboard was needed and I was advised it would take a few weeks to fix, But that was not the case within a few days the laptop was fixed and back in my possession within days. Personally I have had dealing with some electronic device vendors which were horrific experiences but with MSI they have been consistently professional and very quick with their warranty obligations.

louder and angrier and eventually that company agreed to send it for repair. The que was going out the door behind me and was clearly explaining they sold faulty goods and were refusing to repair.

After a week contacted this company to ask if it had been sent away. They replied no.

So did a little research found that MSI was located 400m down the road from this shop. Picked up the card dropped it off to MSI.

Well about 1 week later a package arrived at my work. Freighted for free a brand new video card in a new box from MSI. I expected they would fix or replace the card, never expected it to be freighted to my work. Second card has worked perfectly!

So I like MSI and am happy to buy.

issues with another brand before. I am not sure if I will ever buy an MSI laptop again.

But the review is not about the product itself. Once the hinge broke, the laptop clearly became unusable. It was still under warranty, so I sent my laptop to MSI Australia, which is located in Sydney. It took them only 10 days to get it fixed, including delivery time. All the issues were fixed, free of charge.

I exchanged emails with the customer service and had a few calls with them. They were very helpful and very quick to response. However, i had no updates on either delivery time or the fixing progress of the laptop. I had to contact customer service to figure out where they are at. To be honest, if i knew everything was being done in light speed, i do not really need to be updated. It is just the poor Courrier/fixing services i received in the past was making me worried.

Big thanks to Startrack and MSI Warranty Australia. I could not have asked for a better service.
