I went to purchase a computer case..
I purchased a computer case at the MSY TECHNOLOGY in Currie Street Adelaide for a re - build and asked the sale rep behind the counter for some advise..
I told him I was re - building an older system for my motherboard and have standard internal HDD etc.
The sales rep seem to be in a hurry as there was a line behind me.
I had told him the specs I was after and wanted some relatively cheap.
I was sold an atx micro case and when I got home I went to install my all my components I was unable to install my HDD and CD rom.
I messaged MSY Techn...

Worst ever company don't buy from here
The msy sells products of the worst quality ever.
I bought asus f555DG for $899 way too expensive than what it should be.
There customer service is so bad, terrible!
They are not giving me refund for my laptop which sucks so much
I never had a month in my life with no issue from it.
After warrenty i think i will have to spend on its repair more than its actual cost.
Their laptop is the slowest possible in the whole world. ...Worst battery life under normal usage word and YouTube(<65 mins) Sound quality is terrible. Camera quality is terrible. Everything is terrible. So often issues with windows 10 on it, wifi, high cpu usage and just so much. Recently had issue that the lights would turn on for 1-2 secs and then just turn of nothing displays or happens. The staff is extremely unfriendly and i strongly recommend buying from somewhere else. I hope their business shuts down. They would never give me my money back and take ages for repairs. Just don't even think about this company ever in your life unless you are some stupid person.

The totally WORST service I have EVER experienced!!
I am not new to MSY computers. I've been dealing with these shops for many years and bought MANY parts to build PCs for people. Their service has ALWAYS been terrible but their parts are cheaper than wholesale. That is the ONLY reason I deal with these poor excuses for sales people.
The following process took much longer then it seems here:
I researched a mini PC for a customer and showed them the specifications etc. on the MSY site. The customer was happy with the choice so I ordered the product via email, through MSY Adelaide and received a...
Just be 100 percent sure before you walk in.
If you buying parts to build a PC, make look you not only record what you want, but also have alternatives prepared in case they are out of stock, what I did to save time, Never ask them to suggest anything for you, to safe time just took phone photos from interesting parts from their website, go in, and shove the phone in front of their face, and said I want this, and that, etc, today I built a good deal computer, but the experience of buying everything, they made me feel like a lump of shift, and it's like they just wanted me to quickly choose, buy and get the hell out of there.
MSY Technology (SA) Pty Ltd
I recently purchased a PC built by MSY, the PC was tremendously heavy I wasn't able to carry by myself, which was found to have a faulty Hard Drive.
The Hard Drive was replaced under warranty however after the Hard Driver was replaced I was not able to connect to the Internet, no Wi-fi. So I engaged an IT consultant to have a look at it which he found out MSY had forgotten to re-install the necessary Drivers when the Hard Drive was replaced. That necessitated the IT consultant to deliver the PC to MSY and wait while the Drivers were re-installed.
The IT consultant charged me for his time $176.50, if Msy had been done his job correctly, it was un-necessary to engage an IT consultant.
Never going back on online order delivery
Gave msy online ordering a go..purchased on monday noon and got my tracking number thursday after i enquired whats happening with my order..stay away from online ordering..
Msy - not for those who have limited knowledge.
For the last 10 years I have purchased systems, components, peripherals, and numerous laptops.
The sales staff are just that, sales, not always technical. Do your OWN research and like me you'll have no problems.
Yes, I have had warranty returns due to component failure, and when it's a currently stocked item it's always been changed over. If the item has been superseded the manufacturer interaction to rectify has been enacted. It cannot be the fault of the sales outlet if the manufacturer of the part isn't as speedy to resolve.
No return when one was promised
Went to buy a gaming mouse from their Pirie St Adelaide store. for my son. Was told it was not in stock and they suggested another one. I asked if it could be returned if it was not suitable and was told i could.
Turns out it was not the right mouse and went to return it. I told them what had happened and they refused to refund the purchase because the seal was broken ( i could not see any broken seal). No offer of exchange either. Broken promises do not work in business.
I have spent over 20k with this mob in the past two years but will not use them again.
Only for the people who know what they're doing.
Cheap as sht, e.g. Microsoft Comfort Curve 3000 only $19 at MSY whereas $29 at JB. While it is true that they have below average customer service and most other services, and have stores that look terrible and are small (hence the cheapest price in like, Australia) - if ALL YOU IGNORANT PEOPLE STOP BEING LAZY and STOP GETTING REKT BY MSY, then you should be able to enjoy MSY's prices and actually not get REKT by them.
Their promotional products/ deal of the day things, which change like every 2 days for 2 or 3 times a week, are ridiculously...cheap in addition to their already ridiculously cheap original prices, but I advise you to check that they did not make any mistakes or that the product is working right after you purchase it, so you can counter them just in case you get REKT. I have bought quite a few things from them such as really cheap keyboards and mice, speakers etc. (around $30). Do not get REKT by JB or DickSmith or any other (well known, over rated) store that overprices everything by like 50%, and gets so much damn profit that they actually can afford to lure customers in by services and good looking stores, and stupid advertisements. Their on sale signs mean nothing to the stock prices at MSY. GET REKT.
Never had an issue with Warranty Claims - SA Branches
Over the last 3 to 4 years, I've purchased many products from MSY in Adelaide ( Adelaide, Elizabeth and Holden Hill Branches ), and on occasion an item failed. When I approached them for warranty, they tested the items in store, as you would expect, and when proved faulty, they offered a choice, repair, replacement or money back. Never had an issue.
Caught out: sold me the same faulty graphics card twice!
About a month ago I was building a computer for my mum. I purchased a Nvidia GTX660 GPU for the build. After I was done building (before the initial boot) I took some photos of the inside of the rig - this was my first ever build so I was excited. These photos included a close-up of the installed GPU.
That night during the initial boot I thought something was immediately wrong. There were artefacts on the screen and the GPU would not operate properly. Computer behaved fine with the GPU removed.
Next day returned to MSY, claiming the car...d must be faulty. The guy said "okay, well I'll trust you this time" which seemed kind of condescending. What motive would I have to return a brand new card if it wasn't faulty? So I go home and install the replacement card, every thing is now working fine. About a week later my partner decides he also wants a new GPU so we trek back to MSY to buy another GTX660. We are travelling to MSY Adelaide CBD and it takes us around a half an hour each time there and back. We purchase the new card and put in my partners computer - it works for around 2 minutes before failing, exact same problem as last time. We're both thinking "this is unbelievable, I can't believe we got another faulty card!". My partner was late for work as he was frustrated and buggering around with the card. That night we spent approximately 5 hours playing around on the computer trying to get the thing to work - complete reinstall of windows (in which we both lost valuable information, my partner was so flustered and upset that he forgot to back up data). In the early hours of the morning we finally gave up and went to bed.
Horrible service and return policies
I have been into msy around 5 times in the last few years and let me just say their customer service when I needed it was horrid. I went to return speakers that had rounded bottoms (the ones always on sale) and they had started distorting in under a month but they told me that I would have to take it up with the manufacturers, after much arguing they told me the best they would do is give me another pair of the same bad speakers. I went in there a few days ago and bought a psu, by the time I got home I realised what the problem with my computer...was and rung up about returns, I told the person that all I had done was opened the box (essentially broke sticky tape in-twine) and what was their policy on returns for an unused product and the guy very hard to understand just kept telling me no, you no return...... On another circumstance I was there buying a modem with qos and there was another man there clearly explaining the problem that bandwidth wasn't being divided up evenly between his kids except he could not call to mind the word bandwidth. Anyhow had 3 people there undermining him making him feel stupid, saying that all modems can handle at least 5 people (even though it was quite obvious what he was talking about) until i stepped in and helped him out, luckily he was there for the same reason I was otherwise he would have gone home with possibly a useless modem without qos and having felt like he was been ridiculed. Fortunately there are some nice people that work there Bad warranty, bad returns, not as cheap as everyone claims (pccg) is much better, employees with bad English, employees that almost talk down to customers
A young blond boy served me and made me feel like a second class citizen ..he was rude and completely disrespectful ,would not even answer a simple question about a laptop i wanted to buy ...I would not even hire this guy to clean my toilet ...to let him deal with people is crazy
Poor customer service...bordering on criminal ..
Go somewhere else - MSY Adelaide CBD
Simply put: cheap parts + faulty parts + lousy after-sales = terrible = shop elsewhere.
I strongly urge everyone who reads this to shop elsewhere - despite the slight difference in price, you will not regret avoiding MSY. I used to think "Oh, if I get a part with a good reputation, I'll be alright" - not true! I bought a Gigabyte, the best of the best mobo manufacturers - faulty! Next I got an MSI with a good aftersales from AllNeeds - works fine.
When I placed an online order, they didn't even bother to send me the confirmation email, th...ey just said "There's lots of stock all the time, just come to the store". I went down there, and what a surprise, no stock for 3/6 items... Shameful! Cheapest in Adelaide, and my PSU + Keyboard + Case are fine but... Faulty parts, Lousy after-sales (takes forever to get a replacement), Incompetent staff, UNtrustworthy (contrary to their website banner)
Cheaper than all other stores by a long way
I have enjoyed gaming for 10 years now. I have used the services of MSY for the last 4 year. Everything I have needed has been sold to me at fair prices. In some cases 300% less than the big stores like Harvey Norms. Last xmas I bought my 2 young kids 2 x Asus i7 gaming laptops. They were $600 cheaper than all the other places I went to including Ebay. I purchased a 3D tv and surround sound system and the store tried selling me the cables for 8 times the price that MSY had them. The guy even lied and said I would need to buy them or I would get...a lot of noise through the system. What a load of [censored word removed]. The nice guy at MSy said, '' its a HDMI cable. You are kidding me aren't you?". The cables he sold me were 8 times less and are fantastic. If they don't have the product I need it normally it means they could not buy it at a reasonable wholesale price. I wait or pay more. All my gaming friends use them now. I always price check before I buy and they always win my money.
Cheap prices, bad service
Bought a part for a computer. the manual was shockingly written and didnt undertand and i installed it wrong. ask the shop for a replace part or to fix it and they tell me it was common sense and try say they wont refund. cost me 50 dollars for them to check it. they never stick with their warranties and on multiple occasions have given me non working parts
Service, reliability, warranties, charge to check problems, disinterested and very argumentative
Worst Customer Service Ever
Bought a monitor for a friend as a Xmas present. Misread the box and didn't realise it was missing one of the ports he needs. We opened the box, but didn't unwrap any of the componenets. Everything is still in original packaging, and they will not even give us store credit. Every person we have spoken to there has been amazingly rude, and arrogant - and the manager of the Adelaide CBD store went as far as to give me a lecture over the phone about how I should have researched the gift better. I will honestly never shop there again, regardless of how much cheaper they are. I have never had such horrid customer service in my life.
Extremely bad customer service
Questions & Answers
Re: C2001724, Hi Chester, when I spoke with you last week you had quoted me $250 per monitor, yet that price has jumped to $285 in a couple of days; is there a reason for the price jump? Will I need a cable to attach to computer desktop you are currently building for me?
also can you please advise when I can collect my computer or do you set up, no urgency mid to late next week will be fine. thank you :)
