The review data for Mwave Australia reveals a significant divide between historical performance and a recent period of severe operational instability following an acquisition. While many customers report a positive experience with pricing and product range, a substantial volume of recent feedback flags critical failures in order fulfilment and communication.

Verdict
Mwave remains a viable option for consumers seeking competitive prices on hardware, provided the items are physically in stock and no after-sales support is required. However, due to recent reports of administrative instability and poor communication, buyers should exercise extreme caution with "pre-order" or "supplier stock" items. Those requiring reliable delivery timeframes or responsive customer service may find better value with competitors until the company's transition period is fully resolved.
Selected wrong model (my fault yes) raised a ticket and reached out via phone before dispach. Was given the option of either reject delivery and wear a 20% restocking fee, or just live with it. Never shopping here again. Show details
Extremely Disappointed—Unfair Fees Have Ruined a Previously Great Experience I have purchased from Mwave in the past and was highly satisfied with both their checkout process and the final products. Unfortunately, their current pricing tactics are completely unacceptable, and I had to cancel my latest order.I was ready to buy an item, but the… Read more
final checkout stage revealed unreasonable, hidden charges. First, the system automatically added a mandatory "transit cost" that I did not select and could not remove. Second, they tacked on a "bank transaction fee" of $3.04. Charging over three dollars just to process a basic payment is exorbitant.
It gets worse. I tested their system by adding another item to my cart, bringing the total to almost $3,000. The fees ballooned drastically. The transit cost jumped to $24.24, and the banking transaction fee skyrocketed to an outrageous $34.24 for using PayPal or a credit card.Charging scaling payment fees on expensive items is an outdated practice. Most modern retailers absorb these costs. Forcing customers into mandatory transit cover and penalising them with massive processing fees right before clicking "buy" feels deceptive. It is incredibly disappointing to see a business I used to trust turn to these tactics.
Three purchases and three times significantly late. I have had to chase for updates. The reular patter is that it has been escalated or it has just been scanned sot he courier will collect it 'today'. Shocking service when there are so many more options. Three disasters from three orders... I'll take my business elsewhere. I would not recommend unless you have a wish to practice patience and optimism. Show details

Quality good, but two separate delivers for two products is annoying. In addition, I received a cable that was NOT HDMI, luckily, I had one lying around Show details

Long term customer – The company has been an absolute dream to work with. More than ten years of of computers, from personal to machines to support my fledgling business have been purchased through this company. They’ve never missed a beat, have been proactive in cancelling items that were unnecessary for the builds, and have always had the best interest of the buyer at heart. Looking forward to continuing a long and fruitful customer relationship with this company! Show details
I purchased a CPU bracket kit Online. It took almost 3 weeks to arrive which is an absolute joke. I then received an automated email to place a review which I did, and stated exactly what I've write here, and then I got an email a few days later that the review was removed LOL. So do they just pick and choose what reviews to publish so they look all great? Buyers be ware. Show details

Product: MSI MPG 274URF QD ($799) Experience: My monitor suffered a catastrophic failure—it made a loud tick, started smoking, and the right panel died. Mwave's tech team confirmed the fault, but management actively tried to dodge their legal obligations. Under the ACL, a major failure means the customer chooses a refund or replacement. Mwave… Read more
tried to deny the refund, telling me to go to the manufacturer instead. I had to fight them, explicitly cite the law, and threaten escalation to NSW Fair Trading just to get them to process the refund, which they still dragged their feet on. Be prepared for a massive headache if you ever need to use a warranty with them. Do not let them push you around.
I needed a new monitor for working from home and found the perfect set up! I found a 34" ultra wide screen with 50% off, specifications described clearly on the website, shipping was affordable and fast, and having been to stores in Sydney it was nice to have access to the range and service now that I'm in regional QLD. One large monitor to hook… Read more
up to my work laptop saved so much money compared to two monitors and a docking station. Thanks guys for your amazing service!
I placed an order on 30/11/25 for over $1,000 worth of monitors. Since that day, the order has sat in "Processing" with absolutely no movement. I have reached out via their support ticket system and messages multiple times, but I am being completely ignored. There is no transparency, no proactive communication, and currently, no way to get my… Read more
money back through their internal channels. It is unacceptable for a major retailer to hold a four-figure sum of a customer's money for weeks without a single update or a path to a refund. At this point, it feels like my money has disappeared into a void. I would strongly advise anyone thinking of ordering to look elsewhere—don't risk your money here until they prove they can actually fulfill orders and respond to customers.
Shopping for a new 5080 tuf card so I crossed references all the retail online stores and mwave has a $ 500 mark up on this item. These items are available from many other retailers and are in stock.Talk about price gauging and dirty business practices.I will never now or ever purchase another item from this place.Buyer beware and do some research before giving away your hard earned cash. Good deals and discounts with misleading website information. Items will feature the free shipping marker for less that $250 ($199) but is only free shipping if you pay more than $250 order. Summitted a different order and held off paying to find out what was wrong but since the reply was the next day and prices went up they could not honor the… Read more
price difference. I was told it's only a minor difference in price (approx $50) on a sub $2k order so just pay it and I would receive some in store credit ($40) which has to be used within 180 days. Over an hour on the phone over the tickets raised and not answered well.
So after ten years of being a customer where I purchased my first brand new pc I put together, it's too bad so sad. They sure as (insert language here) an't going to be selling me any more nor will the business I work for be buying any more for them. Inflexible is a strange hill to die on for $50.
I don’t normally write poor reviews. But the experience was so bad. I need to share. I ordered a Asus Rog Nuc pc 15 recently. The specs online at Mwave’s website stated it has RTX5070ti gpu and 2tb ssd storage. It also has an estimated 1-3 days delivery. It took 10 days for the pc to arrive. But the pc delivered doesn’t have RTX 5070ti gpu.… Read more
Instead it has only rtx5070. A much cheaper and slower gpu. And the storage is 1 tb not 2 tb as stated. And what’s worse is their customer service or zero service. I called and messaged. After many days, I got a reply that I need to bring it back for warranty return. They acknowledged that the specs at their website is wrong. The pc was not as described. Most importantly, I told them I haven’t even open the box. It’s in the same condition as they sent. The specs is printed on the outside label and it doesn’t match the spec on their website. I just don’t understand why it’s my responsibility to bring it back. They should send me a return label or get it picked up. Any proper company will at least pay the return postage if they deliver the wrong item. But, Mwave is a con. Even I told them the spec are wrong on their website and their service department admitted. They are still selling the same Rog nuc 15 mini pc with the false specs. So, be aware. It will be a terrible experience if you buy from them.

My first and only experience with mwave has nothing short of disgusting, they are a true scam company. I pre ordered an "in stock" msi rtx 5090 suprim" at launch for $4595 only to be told "actually its out of stock" that was bad enough but I waited and waited and 4 months pass and they contact me telling me "there is no msi rtx 5090 suprim stock… Read more
in sight, you can either cancel or change it for another card" there were only the lowest quality cards available at the time so I said I will wait until something closer in quality to the suprim becomes available, I wait another month and see that they have the asus tuf 5090 in stock so i call them to change my order to that card because I'm sick of waiting only to be told no and that I can only change my card if I am contacted by them and THEY ask me if I want to, what an absolutely disgusting treatment from mwave, they oversell 5090s for full deposit of $4595, float that around on the stock market for 4 months to only then contact me to offer me a crap cheap card at the same price, tell me i able to swap it for another if I want then when I do want they say no you can't. A scam company to be fully avoided.

I purchased a new CPU for a good price, then went looking for a new tower for my RIG. I came across this awesome bargain and well known brand for an almost ridiculous price. So I just had to jump on it. Thanks MWave for another great purchase. Show details

by a certain date. No response. I call - and am told that the supplier is out of stock, with more stock not arriving for over 5 months. No communication, no proactive dealing with a delay, not even reactive dealing with a delay! Had I not contacted them, it would have just sat with a 'processing' status for who knows how long. In the meantime I'm out of time to get the items I need from elsewhere. Sad to say they used to be good but it's clear I'm not the only one experiencing similar issues with them recently. I won't be back.
Follow-up · To answer some questions: it was not a pre-order, the items were speakers, and yes I got a refund.

Positive reviews
The PC shipped faster than expected (bought on Tuesday and arrived Friday of the same week) and was easy too unbox and came with a QR code to a quick guide in what to do before opening the PC. The PC itself looks amazing and performs spectacularly (since going from a 2080 super to a 5070 is a solid jump). Overall the PC was easy to purchase, arrived really fast and looks amazing as well as performing even better than I expected Show details

Really horrible customer service system regarding cancellation or refund. I mean you click the wrong item and its still processing, you have to put a ticket in the queue to cancel it and they can just ignore you or it takes too long so you cant cancel it anymore or they flat out hold the right to refuse. peoples dollars of course theyre going say no. Make sure you are certain in your purchase because there's no going back with Mwave and their products are costly.
I still haven’t received my product. Don’t use StarTrack for your deliveries, they will not leave at door even if authorised, now I have to take time off work to go and pick it up from their depot. I attempted to do that yesterday and underestimated traffic and got there two minutes after close, so now I have to do it again on Monday. Delivery is supposed to to make things easier, not harder. Took many weeks to deliver my order, and a very complicated refund process for 3 small items. This is why they are cheaper, because they don't have the items in stock. Avoid. Show details

On the 4th of May I purchased software from MWave, which they stated the software key would be emailed. No Email was received. On the 8th I emailed their sales team asking where it was.... No response. On the 12th I filled out a support ticket via their website..... still waiting and no response. Show details
I’m unable to provide a positive review at this stage. The order was placed on 3 May and the estimated delivery is now 18 May, which feels excessively slow for in-stock hard drives within Australia. Particularly frustrating given related equipment ordered elsewhere arrived last week. Show details
