My Perfect Resume

When I first signed up, it said it was $2 and there was absolutely nothing that told me there would be extra charges. That's why I followed through. I looked up other companies and I made sure that I was choosing the right one where I wasn't getting extra subscription fees. They don't even try to make it clear that in 14 days they're going to just… Read more
take money out of your account without your permission. I had to call the company to talk to a person to cancel my subscription and the person I spoke to would not listen to a word I said. They kept trying to give me another deal to keep my subscription. I told them over and over again to stop asking me for a new subscription and to cancel my account. Finally after 30 minutes of arguing with the person, they finally canceled my subscription. This company is a scam. Definitely do not use them.
One day I just happened to check my bank statement and saw this bill for $23.95 from something called MyPerfectResume. Who the heck is this I thought to myself. I never even heard of this. I called the customer service and demanded to know what this was about, I never signed up for this. Someone must have stolen my credit card number. After some… Read more
"discussion" a 50 percent "refund" on the payment was issued, and then they tried to get me to sign up for a "reduced" plan for $4.95 a month! I then did a search on my online bank statement and I discovered that I was being charged $23.95 a month for the previous 10 months. What the heck??? Then I discovered what happened: I was looking for a job a long time ago and found this website for a creating a resume that charged $2.25 and then never used it again and completely forgot about it. There was nothing about turning it into a monthly program. I mean who needs it more than once or twice to create a resume? Every frigging month? I didn't even create an "account," I just paid for this one-time resume which I didn't even use.
Thieves. Like others here, I paid a few dollars for a 14 day access (thinking that was it, nothing further) to have $35 subsequently deducted from my account. In the 'fine print' so to speak, I had inadvertently opened up an account that 'renews annually'. They did, it is true, refund me half that amount after I remonstrated (in the strongest terms); but nevertheless: AVOID, AVOID AND AVOID AGAIN. I WISH I HAD NEVER CONE ACROSS THEM.

Misleading – Not Actually Free The website says “Free Perfect Resume,” but after entering all my personal details, it asked for a paid subscription. This is misleading. If it’s not free, don’t advertise it as free. Trust is everything — be honest from the start.
They are actually insane. who would've thought they would get scammed from using a fricking resume website. Coming here after getting scammed and seeing 2% positive and 98% negative reviews says a lot about them!!! I paid for a one time cahrge of $2 just to be able to download my resume and thereafter I started getting debitted for a subscription… Read more
I never made. Not once or ever was a subscription cornfirmation email sent to me until the very day I called them to know why my account was being charged and then they sent me an email explaining the details of my "subscription" when I paid for a one time charge. Now tell me if they weren't a rip off, isn't it all due procedure for a company to send you a subscription cornfirmation email IMMEDIATELY after you subscribed so that you are aware? But my perfect resume sends theirs the day you are cancelling the supposed rip off subscription that only one party was aware off. My perfect resume if you are reading this, I promise you I would get you sued. COUNT YOUR FREAKING DAYS!!! *I also encourage you guys to go to "Trustpilot.com" to write these reviews about them as well because myperfect resume are paying people on there to write good reviews making them more so we have to combat these scam butt scumbags*
Don’t reveal your credit card – Like every other review here. Signed up for a single resume and requested to cancel subscription soon after They took days to respond and I’d found the cancel option on the day before renewal and chosen to cancel, but they still charged me.
Scammers and unprofessional! – I paid $1.95 for a 14 day access to write 1 resume. I looked at my bank account and was charged $23.95 3 times the last few months.. I contacted them and they will not give me a full refund. Not even half and werw unprofessional!
My Perfect Resume are thieves – I just wanted one resume and thought I would do the right thing and pay $2. A month later, I look at my bank account and they have taken $92!!!!! WHAT THE HELL?! DO NOT buy this horrible website. I wish I looked at these reviews first.

This company runs a scam. They start charging you “subscription” fees that you haven’t authorised. They are then not allowing your right to file a complaint or data requests by simply ignoring you. There are multiple similar opinions about this company in social. I have created an account with them back in July last year. I paid a fee to create… Read more
a cv and dowload it. I double checked for any subscriptions or any additional charges. It turns out they have been charging me for months a fee for a subscription that wasn’t there to begin with or I cancelled. The matter of fact is that their site doesn’t even have the option to delete your payment method. This company should have its license immediately.

Misleading refund policy and poor customer handling I signed up to MyPerfectResume expecting a straightforward experience, but it turned out to be frustrating and misleading. The service promotes a “money-back guarantee,” which reasonably suggests a full refund if you cancel within the stated period. I cancelled well within that timeframe, yet… Read more
only received a partial refund with no clear justification.
After reviewing their own Terms of Use, there is:
No mention of partial refunds, and No clear explanation of how refunds are calculated
At the same time, their terms state that refunds are not guaranteed, which creates a confusing and one-sided situation for customers.
This combination of:
Advertising a guarantee While not actually defining refund outcomes
feels misleading and lacks transparency.
The platform itself is basic and not worth the ongoing subscription cost in my opinion, especially given how the billing and refund process is handled.
Overall warning: Be very careful before subscribing. Even if you cancel within the supposed refund period, you may not receive your full money back.
Theives, after your resume was needed.....Even though you might think it would be a one off pyment they will just keep debiting until you shut the bank accnt.......could be '-0' stars...it wouldn't be enough
DONT USE! IT IS A SCAM! paid for the single use then 2 days later without my consent of any knowledge they stole $35 from my account as a year subscription Trying to get a refund is intentionally hard by this company and there is ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT Straight up a scam to get your card details to steal money from you without your knowledge.
Do not I repeat do not have any dealings with this website. My wife made the mistake of taking the offer of 90cent resume (obviously too good to true). Since paying the 99 cents, have been getting deductions of $34.99 per month for the past six months. All efforts to have this stopped via contact with the dodgey company (based in Amsterdam)… Read more

They will automatically enroll you in a subscription even when you only purchase a 1 time 2.99 resume. They will charge almost 30 dollars later without any permission. They are scammed. Not honest
I originally used MyPerfectResume to create a resume, thinking I was paying for a one-time service. At no point did I realize I was being signed up for a recurring subscription. It wasn’t until later that I noticed repeated charges on my bank statement. I cancelled the subscription immediately and contacted their support team, but the charges… Read more
didn’t stop. Shockingly, I found out they continued to deduct payments for three more months after I had already cancelled.
When I reached out again, their customer service refused to issue a proper refund. The whole experience was unnecessarily stressful—I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable, just a fair resolution. It felt like they were deliberately avoiding accountability.
I’d caution anyone thinking of using this platform. Their subscription system is extremely unclear, and the process to cancel or get a refund is far from straightforward. If it were possible, I wouldn’t even give them a single star.
To help others avoid going through the same hassle, I’ll be sharing this review widely. This kind of business model is unacceptable, and companies that operate this way need to be called out.
My wife signed up for MyPerfectResume to generate a one-time resume and paid for what she believed was a single-use service. At no point did she knowingly subscribe to an ongoing plan. To our surprise, we later discovered that we were being charged regularly through our bank. Despite cancelling the subscription and contacting the company, the… Read more
charges continued. Most recently, we found out they had taken payments for an additional three months after the cancellation.
We contacted customer service again, and they refused to issue a full refund. The call became very stressful and upsetting for my wife, as she was simply asking for a fair resolution. It felt like the company had no intention of being transparent or accountable.
I strongly advise others to be very careful when using this service. The subscription model is extremely misleading, and the cancellation/refund process is frustrating and unfair. I wouldn’t even give one star if I had the choice.
To prevent more people from going through the same frustrating experience, I plan to share this review across multiple platforms. Companies like this need to be held accountable, and I hope this raises awareness not only among potential users, but also within the company itself.
Complete scam! do NOT get involved with this company. I've been trying to cancel my account for more than 6 months and they won't do it. statements showing the money coming out of my account every month and going to them. Spent some time on the phone with them yesterday trying to cancel and again they won't do it. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! NOT WORTH IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO BANKROLL THE COMPANY FOR ANOTHER YEAR AFTER TRYING TO CANCEL!! ZERO STARS.
Horrible. Must be a scam. They take card info. Then it is upsell. Clicked one time. Roy customer service said I had to upgrade to subscription. Classic bait and switch scam. Now I have to spend tomorrow hooking up with the class action lawsuit. What a mistake.
If I could give it 0 stars. I Googled free resume' and My Perfect Resume was the first one that popped up. I spent all this time putting it together, but when I went to download it... SURPRISE...NOT FREE. Scam.
This is a hoax. They use AI and it's poorly written. On top of it, I tried "no subscription one off payment" but they went and renewed subscription - I DID NOT subscribe , they steal your money.
0 stars!! Made a resume IN AUGUST of 2023, paid the $1.95 for the resume I built, and all was fine. Then come to find out April 2025 I've been charged $24 every month since August of 2023!! That's over $400 they have stolen from me! I didn't sign up for a subscription, I built and bought a resume, that's it, why would I need a subscription… Read more
afterwards?? Haven't been on the site since. Then I call for a refund and it's a complete run around. No one and stay consistent with their stories. I asked why haven't they been sending me monthly invoices stating they've been taking money from my account? Her excuse was oh people called and complained about how many emails they were getting.. and I said I highly doubt people were calling complaining about getting an invoice once a month that their money was taken! Sooo shady! Currently waiting for a call back from a manager. If they don't resolve I'm going straight to my credit card company and disputing it as an unauthorized charge
**Edit to add**
As of May 12th they have not refunded me all of my money. They clearly replied stating they will refunded me my money, and they have not.
