Impossible to deal with, does not answer the phone I reckon a bit with a set of pre-recorded responses replies to emails. Off to QCAT in April to get a fair and legal resolution. Will post the result. I feel that a bot is used to write all their responses.

Ok so on Feb 27th they refunded in full including court fees without going to court on March 10th. So the right result in the end. Ordered another rear controller, hopefully all goes well this time.

platform. On opening the box it appeared the plastic covers were cracked. We decided to request a replacement, filled in the requested form and supplied photo's. Initially they offered a refund of $ 200 if we accepted the scooter as is and increasing the offer to $500.00. We didn't accept this as we did not know if there was more damage done to the unit. So requested a replacement. A week after the delivery the scooter was collected for return. 3 days after collection I asked for status and reply was that item was not received yet and that after receipt it would take 4 - 8 days to assess the damage (It took us 10 minutes t make this assessment including unstrapping the package , opening the box and take photo's). Now 10 days after the scooter was collected for return we can't get information when we will receive the replacement and they even don't bother anymore in answering my emails. So if I don't today, 4th May, get a sensible reply I will innitiate a full return of the purchase price either through ebay or PayPal.

 Follow-up  · Assembly was easy, too heavy for me to do, but daughter did it in 15 minutes. Packaging was OK. Performance is adequate for me. Traveling about 1.5 km to shopping centre and back over mainly level footpaths or if I want a shortcut sport ground grass. Very easy to operate in shops.

My rollator shed a wheel, throwing me to the ground and causing injury. After a minor hitch, I was offered a replacement item without the need to return the faulty one, and I was provided with a small gratuity to compensate for my injury. I’m really happy with my product, as well as the courier company used. I’ve seen lots of negative reviews about the courier company but everything came packaged perfectly.

they deliberately upload 5/6 5 star reviews to try push yours down. They are fake accounts.

They refuse to do refunds, they try to state it’s a change of mind.

Do your research, don’t buy from this company. You’ll have a damaged item with 100’s of dollars out of pocket. They don’t do refunds

from Mytopia, which I collected in person from their Seven Hills NSW premises. The scooter is within its reasonable expected lifespan and has not suffered a catastrophic failure. However, it now requires routine maintenance items, including a tubeless tyre repair/reseating and brake adjustment due to normal use. These are expected maintenance requirements for a personal electric transport device. In order to maintain safe operation, I contacted Mytopia seeking paid servicing or repair. Mytopia advised that they do not perform repairs outside of warranty. I was further advised that the manufacturer Valk also refuses to service the scooter unless it is a warranty claim. Mytopia was unable to nominate or refer me to any authorised or practical repairer and instead suggested that I "find a local e-scooter repairer". In practice, such repair services are extremely limited or non-existent for this brand, and independent scooter retailers commonly refuse to work on unsupported brands. This suggestion was not workable and did not provide a genuine repair pathway. As a result, I am left with no practical means of servicing or maintaining a safety-critical product, despite being willing to pay for repairs. This lack of any post-warranty servicing or repair pathway was not disclosed at the time of sale. I purchased locally on the reasonable assumption that servicing would be available or facilitated during the product's lifespan. I believe this constitutes a failure to meet the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, particularly acceptable quality (including durability and safety) and fitness for purpose. Because repair is unavailable, I am seeking a refund under the ACL. I am requesting NSW Fair Trading's assistance in resolving this matter.

According to the service department they have not received . Have sent 3 emails over the last couple of weeks for some feedback and still staying they are investigating because they did not receive item . it has developed into an absolute mess . Happy to take $600 for the product . I think they are now waiting for the warranty to expire at the end of this month . To say they don’t give a crap is putting it mildly. Giving until end of next week then involving ACCC

video of an electrical item which is faulty and does not workHow can I take a video of an electrical appliance that does not work? They stupidly kept on insisting I do this to get a refund! I am entitled to receive a refund under Australian Consumer laws! Today I sent them two photos. One of the faulty product, and one of the bar code underneath the appliance. They said if I provided my bank details, they would process the refund straight away. I have just received a further inane email from Mytopia saying the photo did not show any damage and they cannot process the claim and refund until I can show where the appliance is damaged!!! This mob are completely nuts! They have given me the runaround for weeks, no doubt designed for me to eventually throw up my hands and give up. Which I wont! While the prices are good, the service is dreadful. Had to wait over 5 minutes in freezing wind for "service" at a little window. Not only wanted photo I'd and order number, but a physical credit card. I don't own a physical credit card wasted 3 hours driving here and have been given the choice of $85 delivery fee or a refund. these people. Their management were trained by [Content Removed]. It really isn't worth picking up from the warehouse for the trauma. It took 20 minutes to get to signing. And I have been waiting 20 minutes in the car park for them to bring it out.

Underhanded – Buyer beware, underhanded tactics and security risk. My bank account was hacked after using mytopia. They do not protect your personal information. They are also very misleading about their shipping coasts, their site claims 'free shipping', but then they help themselves to your bank account for ' shipping and handling'. shipping on something that said 'free shipping'. When I queried it, I was told that it's free to their default postcode. When I realised that I had been scammed by their dodgy tactics and tried to get a refund I was told the payment had already been processed and I couldn't get it refunded. This seems very dodgy and underhanded to me. I would not use this company again and I would advise others to be aware that their accounts may be hacked and their personal information might be stolen. Quality of products was also very average for the price paid.

the courier company is coming to pick it up. First promised 3 days! Now I have no idea when! No respond from the company on this matter! Bought another cooler unit! They used Hunter Express, they don't tell you sending on Sunday and expect you to be available. Even though I filled in a change in location since they were sending to my store as I'm not opened, the courier didn't take notice! Still decided to leave it in an open unsecured space! Dishonest scammers! – Scammers that provide false details on the Polycool evaporative coolers. They have listed the dimensions for a different model (45L) on the 30L model and refuse to address the problem or even remove the incorrect information on the listing for the 30L model. Have reported to ebay and consumer protection.

them forever to reply and 2 weeks to deliver, which guess what? it was damaged the exact same way (drum off centre) requested a return of item. Replying they mention that we could fix it ourselves and told us what to do!!!!! are you kidding me!!! after telling them of how terrible their customer service is, they said they will organise return shipping (at same time we had lodged complaint with ebay about Mytopia) next day we receive message from ebay stating Mytopia will not provide return shipping label. this message confused me so i organised my own return shipping, emailed Mytopia of the confusing mixed messages and requested they refund shipping with the refund of the machine. agreeing to the terms through the ebay complaint, Mytopia received the machine and after fixing it offered to send it back, which all along in every communication insisted on a full refund. Mytopia still was not forthcoming with refunding the return shipping and the cost to me only at the cost to them which was $11 difference. wow!!!! this company has horrible customer service, not at one stage did they apologise for the inconvenience. They then go onto say they will not refund the first return shipping because the logged it as a change of mind, not a damaged item. i showed them the email outlining the reasons for returning the items and still they would not refund the return shipping cost. I will tell everyone i come across to never buy anything from this online store!!!!

Equipmed electric wheelchair is proving to be great value! – We bought an Equipmed electric wheelchair from Mytopia three months ago in August 2024. We had very specific requirements for size and foldability as it has to fit on a slide in our campervan. The wheelchair was incredibly low-priced, has proven to be of great quality, does all we ask of it. Very happy indeed. In fact we were so pleased we bought a second one for our nephew who is otherwise immobile! Show reply
