I was denied boarding with three kids at Gatwick because myTrip charged me for 5 tickets, but at checkin counter the airline told me they forgot to add the kids to passenger list. We were denied boarding. The airline could not do anything and after 12 hours stranded on airport and 37 calls over two days, they still tell me to contact airline and ask them to sort this out.
They made me feel helpless and I felt insulted and ridiculed, on top of losting GBP 5000 for tickets and GBP 700 in other costs.
I even emailed their CEO, [Name Removed], and still received no help. I spoke with two dozen agents over two days and asked for a case reference number, a direct phone line or a named person to look into my case - but it was declined. On every call, I had to start from scratch and explain the situation.

third parties will be refunded by the ticketing agent, which is your travel agent.”). After 18 months of silence, I threatened legal action - only then did they admit they’d received the refund. In April 2024, they said Swiss had paid them and I’d get my money within six days. My card had expired, and despite repeated attempts to update my details, they ignored me - while admitting they had the funds. Then they backtracked again, denying the refund. I have many records proving they’re lying (screenshot attached 2024-08-05). Now, my booking is marked as cancelled (instead of "Refund processed by Swiss"), yet I’ve received nothing. Their customer service is dreadful - just empty promises from supervisors.
I’ve threatened legal action many times, including for medical damages caused by the stress. I also pointed out they're lying about not getting a refund, which is defamation against the airline. Still nothing. I’m in Sydney and see they have an office at Level 1, 60 Martin Place, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia. I’m considering rallying others affected by these scammers and involving the media. It’s shocking no authority has intervened yet. These scammers shouldn’t operate in Australia, and airlines must stop dealing with them - thousands have been conned. If I were to steal as they did so openly in broad daylight, I, as an individual, would definitely face the consequences, but as this is a legal entity, yet ironically, it is very difficult to take legal action against it.

It has now been over 12 months and MyTrip has not provided us with our refund. They have saying for the last few months that they have received a refund from the airline however are yet to process the refund. We have been enquiring for over 12 months without any updates on when we will receive our money back. We have also gone to Consumer Affairs before and they lied and stated that they had not received a refund from the airline which we now have written proof from them to say that they have received it and are processing however again this has been months and months of them saying the same thing. We have multiple emails that we have sent them and their responses are the same each and every time. We would really like support as they are scamming us of over $3000 which is a lot of money.

The MyTrip app was really easy to use. We checked in via the app as well as the airline app to be extra sure. The seats we picked on the mytrip website that we paid extra for were the ones we were allocated which was great. I also received a lot of updates & reminders all throughout my trip.
Just with all the reviews, I’ll use the airline website to book in future to be safe. Getting scammed was on the back on my mind the entire holiday & I felt the relief the moment we boarded the return flight that it all worked out for us thankfully. I’ll also ensure my details are 100% correct to avoid changes some agencies charge an arm & a leg for. Im so relieved it worked out esp for our first family trip.

the point of a “review,” during which I have had to chase them repeatedly for updates. I was promised calls that never happened, given inconsistent explanations, and denied access to any direct contact number to resolve the issue properly.
Their responses contradict themselves — first suggesting a failed payment caused the issue, then later confirming no failed payment occurred. At the same time, they admit they cannot verify what was shown on my screen during booking.
Despite having no evidence that I accepted the higher fare, they continue to dismiss the claim.
This is not just poor service — it reflects a lack of transparency and accountability in their booking process.
I would strongly caution anyone considering using Mytrip.

support for someone to answer (multiple times!), only to find out that their own request had not been approved by the airline and that I had to pay 240EUR (!) for the modification of a flight that originally cost 80EUR; needless to say I didn't receive any emails regarding this despite two different agents confirming that the modification would be free of charge, I had to call them otherwise I would never have known. So another request was made a couple of weeks back, I called again and again, and today I found out that the new request to their finance team to cover the fees of their own mistake had expired, as told by the agent and that a new request had been submitted, and who knows how long that will take... I requested to speak directly to a supervisor and the agent reassured me that the supervisor would call me in less than 24h. They never did. I called again, the supervisor was not there, now supposedly the manager had my file and was working on it. I will need to wait, again, 24h for a ticket that was booked in late October and has taken me hours, literally hours, from my life, and very expensive phone bills as the line to speak with an agent over the phone takes more an hour and a half EACH TIME. My flight is in a week, and the late arrival will cost me more money and problems with hotel check-in --what a disgrace of a company!

Because of their failure, I was forced to book a completely new ticket at an additional cost just to make my journey. This not only caused financial loss but also wasted a significant amount of my time and created unnecessary stress.
The situation became even worse afterward. I have now been chasing my refund for over 14 months. Initially, they acknowledged the issue and promised a partial refund, but I have not received anything at all.
Their customer service is extremely poor and unprofessional. Emails are ignored, responses are delayed or vague, and phone calls involve long waiting times without any resolution. Every time I follow up, I am told that my refund has already been issued and that I will receive it soon—but this has been repeated for over a year with no actual payment made.
This is completely unacceptable. It shows a serious lack of accountability and reliability. Being misled during booking is bad enough, but failing to clearly inform customers about transit visa requirements—and then forcing them into extra costs while stringing them along with false refund promises for over a year—is far worse.
I strongly advise everyone to stay away from MyTrip.com. Based on my experience, this website cannot be trusted.

2022: Helsinki (HEL) to Stockholm (ARN) – 07:45–07:45 I was denied boarding on the first leg (Jetstar) due to alleged COVID-related documentation issues. I dispute the legality and validity of this denial, as the requirements at the time were inconsistently applied and improperly enforced.
As a direct result, I was unable to use any portion of the itinerary and lost the full value of the booking.
The total cost paid was approximately $1,185 AUD, including:
Jetstar (short-haul): $170.73 Finnair (long-haul): ~$863.45 MyTrip fees: $151.20 As the merchant and travel provider through whom I purchased this booking, MyTrip is responsible for ensuring that services are delivered as contracted or that appropriate remedies are provided when they are not.
I am therefore requesting that you:
Immediately investigate this booking, and Issue a full refund of $1,185 AUD without further delay. I will not accept being redirected between parties. MyTrip took payment and is responsible for resolving this matter.
If this issue is not resolved within 14 days, I will escalate the complaint to relevant consumer protection authorities and pursue further action, including formal dispute processes.
I expect a prompt and substantive response.

This situation is extremely frustrating and worrying. When a payment is authorized, customers should receive immediate confirmation or at least a valid booking reference.
I hope MyTrip resolves this issue promptly and improves their booking reliability and communication otherwise people need to be informed about this.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Within 24 hours of booking we had a family issue and had to cancel our flights. I have double checked and if we had booked directly with Easyjet this would have cost £49 in total. Their customer service is not worthy of the name, I was number 64 in the queue at one stage. Save yourself stress. Book directly with the airline.
Unfortunately, I can’t recommend MyTrip. A system error on their end caused our booking dates to be recorded incorrectly. We were charged to rebook, received confirmation, but the tickets were never properly updated due to their internal processing issues. We’ve now paid twice and anxiously waiting for the correct ticket. Overall, very stressful and poorly managed.

After days of back and forth, everything was finally confirmed and a price was agreed for the return ticket change. Payment was taken live while the agent was on the line, exactly as per the agreed amount. To our absolute disbelief, an hour later we received a call demanding an additional $611 on top of what had already been paid. What kind of operation is this? This is not just unprofessional , it strongly suggests illegal and deceptive practices. Throughout this process we have dealt with excuses, dropped calls, and misleading information. At one point an agent even claimed she “couldn’t log in”, which is entirely unacceptable. It became very clear that they were deliberately stalling once we indicated we wanted to cancel the ticket following this appalling experience which was $475. This company operates with no transparency or integrity whatsoever. It is now day two, and despite payment being taken, we are still left dealing with confusion, stress, and uncertainty. Only after the flight departure time had passed did they finally reply, claiming that the airline refused the refund and that they could not do anything. This felt intentional and extremely unprofessional.
Another issue: I also paid for check-in included, as stated on their website. However, they never completed the check-in. Instead, they told me their website had a problem and asked me to check in directly on the airline’s website — which defeats the purpose of paying for this service.
On top of that, I paid extra for flight update synchronization, which is supposed to send SMS notifications about flight status changes or delays. I never received a single update or message.
Overall, I paid for multiple services that were never delivered, and customer support was slow, evasive, and only responded when it was too late. I would not recommend booking with MyTrip

I think they illegally hold your money until you jest forget. I got my refund after months of fighting but I know it took years for some people. It was a very sad story for me. 2,300 (29214 ZAR to be exact), inclusive of all taxes and fees. That was the amount I confirmed and authorised.
After submitting my payment, I was shocked to find that MyTrip had charged me AUD 5,142.92, more than double the quoted price! The money was just debited from my account with no authorization or 3D secure or anything! There was no pop-up, no notification, no approval request, and no indication whatsoever that the fare had changed before the transaction was processed.
When I contacted their so-called “customer service,” they claimed I had “accepted a fare change.” That is completely false. No such message appeared on my screen, and I was given no chance to cancel or confirm any change.
To make it worse, the final fare they charged was illogical and inflated. Even direct flights from Sydney to Johannesburg with major airlines during the same dates cost around AUD 3,800–4,000, while MyTrip charged me over AUD 5,100 for an indirect, multi-layover itinerary. It’s clear they are preying on unsuspecting customers by manipulating prices and hiding fare changes during checkout.
I’ve reported this to my bank, lodged a complaint with the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), and will be reporting this case to the ACCC for misleading and unfair trading practices.
This company should be blacklisted. The prices you see on their site are not what you’ll actually be charged, and their after-sales support is virtually nonexistent. An overseas call center reading from a script with zero accountability.
If this review stops even one person from being ripped off the way I was, it’s worth posting. Avoid MyTrip.com at all costs!!

They claim that "minor" price changes can occur during the booking process but charged more MORE THAN DOUBLE the original quoted fare.
