National Car Movers arranged for the transport of our Holden Trax from Perth WA to Newcastle NSW. Everything went to plan. The ongoing communication from the company and their contractors was exceptional. Very nice to be able to talk to helpful and knowledgeable people. I sent a vehicle from Mackay to Melbourne. The service in Mackay was great. I was met at the gate at the Mackay depot when I dropped the car off. The gentleman that checked the car in was very helpful and answered all my enquiries. The vehicle reached its destination within the timeframe stated without any problems. further inquiry as to notifying me once the vehicle was on its way... as I still hadn't heard anything for more than a week, I called again... only to be told that it had just arrived that day, I thanked the woman I spoke to... she informed me that she would send the details to the receiver - which she did.

All in all, we were happy with the service & pricing - we would definitely use them again.

The service was prompt and good value for money. The car arrived in perfect condition. The pick up and delivery locations were very suitable, however they need to consider giving more than 24 hours notice for pick up and delivery as this is not always convenient. Show details ·  1

Unsafe Locations: After switching to National Car Movers, I was directed to a wrecking yard/car destruction site to leave my vehicle. The site manager claimed he was "afraid of cars" and didn't know how to drive a manual. The lot was a "dust bowl" and completely unsuitable for a prized possession.

False Height Claims: Days later, [Name Removed] (Managing Director) claimed my car was too low to move (below 150mm). This was based on a "visual inspection" by the wrecking yard staff. I offered to have a third party measure it; she refused, stated her "leave was more important" than resolving the issue, and banned me from phone contact.

The Result: I was forced to fly back to Melbourne to rescue my car from an unsafe site. Upon arrival, I measured the car myself: it was well above 150mm.

Financial Hostage: Despite their refusal to move the car based on a lie, they refused a full refund, keeping a $180 "cancellation fee" for a service they failed to provide.

This company is incompetent and deceptive. They will leave your car in a junk yard, lie about its specs to avoid work, and then charge you for the privilege. Save your money and your sanity: go elsewhere.

Really poor experience. Transported my Mustang to Adelaide. Let them know it was lowered 20mm. The front bar was then damaged in transit, and when I raised the damaged claimed it was because the car was lowered and it wasn’t covered. Communication was poor throughout the booking process and I was given misleading information regarding what could be left in the vehicle. If you are seeking good Customer Service then I would not recommend this company. Absolutely NO communication throughout the entire process. was never intended to arrive at what was originally quoted and that it was a hook to suck us in. They quoted a truck breakdown ...however that does not equate to a 6-week delay. I am hiring a car at $64 a day so am out of pocket a considerable amount over this period and they get to hide behind the good ole..." your date of delivery may change and no penalty on us ". Take my advice and stay away from this pack of amateurs and pay the extra for an alternative carrier. I couldn't do the review without selecting 1 star and would have chosen negative values if i could.

To my surprise, I was charged a 40% cancellation fee even though no transport service was actually carried out. I later learned this was hidden in attached “Terms and Conditions” documents that were never discussed or highlighted during booking.

It’s disappointing to see a company so unwilling to show fairness or accountability for delays that were entirely outside the customer’s control.

I’ve since noticed other reviews describing similar experiences, which makes me think this isn’t an isolated case.

Rang up & received a quote of $553 from Brisbane to Melbourne. Rang back a week later & told them the height of the car was 120mm & the quote increased to $1073. An additional $500 for them having to use ramps!! Greedy people indeed. Show details
