NATIONAL STORAGE ARE CROOKS
Avoid this company like the plague, they're a bunch of crooks and thugs, continually hiking rent by $60 every few months. They hit loyal customers with rent increases to offer new customers discounts to lure them in. Once in, the price gouging doesn't stop.
NO CASH
They do not accept cash? Why? It is legal tender so I will never shop with this Company again. However the service from the assistant was very good. Chelsea Heights June 1

Happy with National Storage at Salisbury Plain SA
I've been very happy with National Storage Units at Salisbury Plain SA. In fact at one time, based on recommendations within the family, our extended family members from four separate households, had four separate storage units there. It was almost a family gathering spot as we came and went. Staff were always professional - friendly, polite and security conscious. The security there seemed good for safety of our stored items. We had a great little shipping container there for almost four years until May 2022 that really helped fulfil our ne...
Read moreed. National Storage has also been an easy place to purchase packing materials when needed. The only thing that could have been better was price but I'm always out for a bargain and it was comparable with other sites at the time we compared prices with other storage facilities.Avoid these thieves at all cost
Dedicated money grabbers. Every six months I get a $60.00 price increase. Do not rent from this company! Sell what you can first and buy a small shipping container. They are just not worth it plain and simple.

Some very thuggish business practices from very poor, heavy-handed, threatening communications with good customers
Look elsewhere first - as these guys have some very heavy-handed business practices - threatening emails and texts rather than courteous advice re a late weekly payment. And then cutting locks without notice and advise of further charges for necessary replacements where a simple phone call would suffice and save anguish & loss of goodwill & further costs to customers. Charges have continually gone up over last two years of 'nationalising' smaller, friendlier storage businesses. And all excused by local employees saying 'it's all automated' - ...
Read moreas if that's an excuse for bad business practices for a national company. So it's like you're dealing with robots rather than people. Disappointing experience on so many levels... look elsewhere before National StorageDon’t use this national storage ever !!! At all cost , Rude horrible customer ( actually no service) price gougers !
It’s difficult not to be aggressive and p*ssed off
With this incredible incompetent and discourteous , company from lies about pricing upon moving in 7 years ago. Money hungry pigs too double pad locking your door as the claim that I was two days late … total Lie

Very good experience with Glendenning facility.
I've used their storage facility at Glendenning and I had a great experience throughout the start and end for a period of close to 6 months. Their facilities are clean and has excellent security, climate control, trolley, lift and well light corridors. I didn't have issues with pests. Highly recommend their service.

National Storage Noosa. Absolute rubbish. Asked to hold the unit off as we had way more cartons to go through and need more time and may need to change to a bigger unit. So overall more money for them. They just said no the date had already started. So too bad so sad. I just cancelled the unit and they get my one month payment and nothing else. Very short sighted.

Disgusting Blackmail Price Gouging
I have been a consistent client with National Storage utilising several different locations for over 10 years however, in less than 18 months my rental rate has been jacked up by 17.6% (ie $301 per month to $354 per month) and I have just received another notice of a further increase in less than 3 weeks of another 11.3% (ie $354 per month to $394 per month).
Since renting this particular unit in 2020, my rate has been increased overall by nearly 40% (ie $290 per month to $394 per month).

Read moreQueensland, I was quick to phone to question the rapid increases and explore interim workable options. I was advised that it is due to market demand and I could remove my items as there are other customers that would willingly pay. Frustratingly, for now I geograpically can not remove “my items” right at the moment and have to now borrow monies to afford the next increased monthly payments. It is my priority to work out how to return to Cairns and remove “my items”. Please understand I am not seeking sympathy or charity just commercial fairness. I am just sick and tired of businesses price gouging and exploiting customers especially since Covid Impact catchphrase became common go to excuse. My only hope is this corporate shortsightedness backfires when the economic roller coaster dips downhill and loyalty returns as a strong currency as based on history, it will. Shame on National Storage.Find out how National Storage compares to other Storage Providers

Never again!
Never again!
So many things!
If you want after hours access (9pm) you will be charged extra per period.
If you don't opt in for it, and you get in before 9pm, and want to leave after 9pm, you are not only locked in, but charged $75 for the experience.
We had called the police to try and be let out. And tried calling the posted phone numbers inside but they were for the national 1300/1800 number and no answer. Apparently there was one piddly mobile number hidden in the lift at the entrance we didn't use.
If you use the stairs (during open hour...
Read mores!), you'll set the alarm off and be charged $25 for it. We needed 2x units for our stuff. Signing up online doesnt let you choose your unit. As a result we had 2x units on 2 different floors on two ends of the building. Made moving our stuff in and out a huge extra hassle.- 2 reviews

2 units - 37% and 34% rental increase in 15 (COVID) months. Be very aware of enticements
Explored shifting our contents from a competitor self-storage in Oct 2020. National Storage were charming and the rates were slightly cheaper so we put in the effort to move all of our stuff. First rate increase was 6 months later and then another 9 months later - the latter only discovered when we reviewed our Credit Card transactions. Obviously we queried it and then lodged a formal complaint (treated by them as an “enquiry”).
The response was that we were still paying below their “rack” rate and increases were standard at 6 monthly intervals until we reached that rack rate.
We have since moved everything yet again and are happy where we now are

Price increases constantly
I have been renting my unit for 1 year and it has had 2 price increases already up 25%. I have one of the largest units available so 25% is a hefty amount. Also they give very little notice of these changes. Absolutely appalling

Excellent Staff Pleasurable Experience
Excellent staff…Marlene was so friendly and helpful!!
With the highly stressful time of moving and feeling overwhelmed.. they made my experience such a breeze & so easy.
It was a pleasure doing business with them!
I highly recommend Robina National Storage.
Thank you again Marlene!
Money hungry company with no care for their customers
Less than 12 months ago I was paying $225 a month for my unit within the last 12 months they have hiked their price significantly, twice! (last was in September 2021) and are now going to charge me $306 a month for the same unit. Slight increases I can completely understand but this is beyond ridiculous. I’m now organising alternative storage because I refuse to give any more of my hard earned money to these leeches. They also have no restriction on when and how much they can hike their prices, something to be aware of if you decide to store here.

I will never store with National Storage again.
I had several problems with the Springwood NSW site including a manager who avoided dealing with issues that I moved my goods out to another storage facility. I have been storing on and off for twenty years and never had any problems with any other storage providers. I will never store with National Storage again.
