Warren and the team at National Windscreens Hallam did an A1 job on my driver's side door. They were able to fit me in first thing the next morning after I called. Prompt, efficient and friendly service.

As a contractor dealing with National Windscreens accounts dept trying to get paid is a continual nightmare. When our account Dept send invoices 4 times and call, they say they haven't seen anything come through, which would be amazing because every other email we send to other people do go through, (as emails are designed to do). I don't think these people have eyes

Hi, whoever was driving the National Windscreen company car at 7:30am with the number plate 1RX 3YP nearly caused a car accident by turning left in the right hand lane at traffic lights. This was highly illegal and dangerous, if you're going to drive a company car atleast make sure that you're setting a good example for your company. This was… Read more

embarrassing and I hope you learn how to drive safely without making me slam my breaks on. I understand it's peak traffic but this behaviour was just disgusting.

I had Glen today come and replace a windscreen in my triton 4x4 in Melton Victoria. He was very efficient and polite. No mess left behind and no inconvenience. Very polite and considerate towards me. The screen looks amazing. The only I was less keen on is the form of communication from National. All done by text so my initial feed back from them was not positive BUT please be assured their work is great.

We needed a replacement for a work vehicle and were a little bit unhappy with the service as we were informed that we would be first job in the morning so had someone waiting for the tech to turn up. I ended up to find out what was going on. The technician, Matt called me and apologised profusely and explained that the call centre had created a… Read more

few problems and that he would have notified me if he had known. He then provided an amazing repair in a pretty challenging place to do it and turned me around. 5 stars for Matt who did our windscreen in Prahran today, 1 star for the guy in the call centre who told me we would be the first job of the day today. Great service form Matt, the guy who booked the job not so much.

Great service - above and beyond – Essendon Fields not only fixed the windscreen to perfection, they were so helpful when I collected my daughters vehicle where I explained I no longer had a friend to accompany me to drive my car back whilst I drove my daughters repaired vehicle. Without hesitation they very kindly offered to come to my address to pick me up and drive me back to… Read more

Please do not use this company. THEY ARE SCAMMERS - ZERO STARS They took my son's money for a windscreen that they did not install. We cancelled the job two weeks ahead of the booking date as we found a company who were able to replace the windscreen more promptly. They should not have pressured my son into making full payment upfront and now… Read more

will not process his refund. We have lodge a dispute with the bank. We have made numerous phone calls but just get fobbed off to the finance department. The 'finance department' is a circular number that doesn't lead anywhere and then cuts you off the call.

TOTAL DISGRACE – Absolute disgraceful service. Had a so-called repairer come and replace 2 smashed rear canopy glass in my Ford Ranger on behalf of Budget Direct. He took off before I inspected his work. Rear handles don't operate and won't lock and the rear stop lamp fell off the rear glass. Now I can't lock my tools away and have no brake light in the canopy. They are useless, I'm amazed insurance companies use them!!

Hopeless – Rang up to have a windscreen replaced in a company lease car. After 4 disconnected phones calls, 40mins of holding. I finally got through. Booked a windscreen replacement. Unfortunately due to work commitments and needing the aforementioned car, I rang to change dates, 2 phone calls and alot of confusion, I finally got told… Read more

someone would call me to rebook the car in. 6 days later I'm still waiting for this phone call.

I'll be using the other windscreen company on lease plan. National windscreens are absolutely hopeless.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE & ATTITUDE – Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with National Windscreens Ringwood. Upon picking up the car I noticed the windscreen hadn't been correctly installed. The A pillar mould wasn't clipped in properly & I was left with black windscreen sealant over my white car on the front driver's side door, passenger side door handle & on my roof. I called… Read more

up and told the guy on the phone that it wasn't clipped in properly, etc and I was met with attitude and his response was "well it should be". Wasn't until I sent through photos that he then apologised for the inconvenience. The car was brought back to Ringwood by my husband for him to be met with more attitude. The Manager came out to speak with him & realised my husband works in the trade and all of a sudden everything changed.... it finally got fixed correctly. I will never use National Windscreens again. INCREDIBLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE SITE WORKERS. Would give zero stars if I could.

Zero communication – Stay well away from national windscreens. Terrible service with absolutely zero communication. Waited for a month to get a repair done( and still waiting ) all I've gotten after phoning over 5 times in this month is "sorry we'll phone you back and book you in 30 minutes" and yet hear nothing back. Full of excuses and zero action.

Unprofessional and Careless Service – Avoid National Windscreen – I highly advise steering clear of National Windscreen, especially their Ringwood branch. Their lack of professionalism and care is astounding. When a team member broke the weather strip on my VW Touareg during an on-site windscreen installation, they simply glued it back on, causing it to detach while I was driving. The representative, Jack,… Read more

insisted I keep the car under cover and refrain from driving, with no other solutions offered. I was forced to seek help from VW’s assistance team, who had to tape it off for me.

I have lodged complaints with both Budget Direct and CAV, and any subsequent damage or leakage will be entirely their responsibility. This is a company that is careless with vehicles and doesn’t take ownership of their mistakes. Consider this a warning—avoid them at all costs.

Incompetence of supposed professionals – Made payment of rear windscreen over 3 weeks ago they have made a error processing it and have admitted fault but have told me they won't do anything til payment clears even thou a reputable government organisation have made payment and it would have been processed immediately and yet still not even an appointment date let alone anything else

National Windscreens World's Worst Service – So picture this, four weeks ago Budget Direct were advised that my BMW X6 windscreen had a giant crack in it and they kindly advised that it was covered under my policy under windscreen replacement for $40 excess to be replaced. National Windscreens, Essendon Fields contacted me and were advised what my car was, what glass was required and they… Read more

said bring it in.

Next day I drove 1.5 hours to Essendon Fields, the young lady looked at the windscreen and said 'we do not have the glass for this X6, we will need to order it' she then went on to say it might take two weeks to come in and she would call me when the windscreen was in. 3.5 hours of wasted time, fuel and wear and tear on my car.

Three weeks go by, no call from National Windscreens, so I called them, I spoke to a staff member and he advised the windscreen was in (had been for a little while) and his team would be out the next day to my house in Wallan between midday and 3pm.

The night before I received a text to say they will be out from 9am until 3pm, meaning I had to charge my busy work schedule, cancelling important meetings.

The next day I sat here from 9am until 3.30pm and spoke to James at National Windscreens, he put me on hold, then said "there has been a miscommunication, we were expecting you here". This is nonsense because they agreed to come to my property in Wallan and put in a new windscreen.

I wasted 6.5 hours today with the most incompetent windscreen business I have had the displeasure to deal with. I cancelled meetings to be here and my business rates are $380.00 per hour, so I have told National Windscreens they need to compensate me for wasting 6.5 hours of my business day.

The assistant Manager Rob called me and advised he would drive to my place in Wallan by 9.30am and install the new windscreen the next day, meaning I had to cancel my 9am, 10am and 11am meetings.

The Manager Sam called me and has acknowledged that they have completely stuffed up, which he confirmed many times and he will call me tomorrow and explain why they have wasted hours of my busy work schedule.

Sam called and asked what I would like in compensation, to be fair he offered a new windscreen if I ever needed one again. I declined and asked Sam what his profit was from fitting a new windscreen and he said $400.00. I told him I would accept the $400.00 as National Windscreens did not deserve to make any profit on providing the world's most inept service. $400.00 covers one hours wages for me and National Windscreens gladly wasted 12 hours of my valuable time.

Not impressed by three massive stuff ups by Budget Direct recommended windscreen repairer, wasting 3.5 hours driving time to and from their place, 6.5 hours sitting waiting for them to turn up to my home and 2 hours wasted time in the morning preventing me from going to meetings. A total of 12 hours wasted time, with National Windscreens admitting they are in the wrong. It is fair and reasonable to seek compensation based on their incompetence and costing myself in both wasted business hours and lost wages.

I would not wish any Australian to go through the worst service, total lack of care and attention and for National Windscreens to think it is okay for their incompetence to waste 12 hours of anyone's time. This is not okay.

One thing is for sure, I will never use National Windscreens again and I truly hope Budget Direct takes notice and employs a professional caring windscreen repairer for all their future claims.

Avoid at all costs – Faulty installation by local windscreen repairer. Bad company – Took payment and said they would come out to my house next day. Next day rang me told me they won't service my area and they couldn't do it that day. Had to take an extra day off work the next week. Windscreen ended up costing me alot more due to loss of wages. Would not use again. Would not recommend.

Incompetent – I asked for a quote for windscreen replacement. I Provided photos, VIN etc. after 8 emails and calls they provided a very competitive quote. The problem was it was not for the correct windscreen.!! They asked me if the site would be in extreme heat. (It is winter). They even gave me the wrong phone number to book the service Waste of time Show details

No response – I have Windscreen Plus cover on my NRMA roadside subscription so filled the online form at National Windscreen to obtain a quote for a replacement. The site did not provide an immediate quote but instead sent me an email stating that I would be contacted by a consultant. After two weeks no reply received. Useless.

Terribly run – Got put through to them through nrma, told me someone would call me soon to book an appointment. I did not hear for them for 3 days, I kept calling and asking for any updates even to know when they'll call but the staff don't seem to have any communication with their drivers. said the windscreen was available and it'll be done asap. The next day, the driver calls and he doesn't even know what's happening (he was told I had a chip whereas I needed a replacement). I call back national windscreen where the new rep, can't see any quote and now quotes me $1500-$2500 with a wait time of 4 weeks..

It's a really incompetent company, I don't know how they managed to pull of a contract with nrma maybe because they're cheaper but their service is absolutely crap.

What an ordeal – We had our windscreen replaced due to a stone chip, due to poor installation by National windscreens we had major leaking inside our car after rain, our car had never leaked before this. We contacted national windscreens who sent an installer out, they completed air testing and assured us it was not the windscreen however did not replace the… Read more

windscreen or re-install due to not having enough installers on that day, we had more rain and more leaking so took our car to a mechanic who checked all the doors and weatherstripping and believed it was indeed the windscreen due to where the water was leaking from. We contacted national windscreens and they came out AGAIN and replaced the windscreen, took no ownership and advised they didn’t believe it had been installed incorrectly, we haven’t had any leaking since the new windscreen was installed…. after multiple large showers of rain and a test with the hose and car wash the car no longer leaks…. So it was in fact the windscreen, I feel like we had a major stuff around and got no compensation after the ordeal we had with drying out our car and having a mechanic look over it as well, all of this was unnecessary cost and inconvenience, wouldn’t ever recommend National Winescreens after this experience

Rubbish - take your money then don't call or organise to do the work – Rang to get a quote and decided to go ahead with the work. windscreens. I waited hours before driving but when i drove to my appointment down the road the glass was wavey and distorted. I can bet on it leaking when it rains tomorrow. National Windscreens told me they will have to wait and see if it leaks and fixing the moulding is a maybe. Not good enough. They also tried to downplay my concerns of mould should it rain, etc. They did offer to pay for the dry cleaning of my coat and verbally apologised for me helping the guy. Not impressed.
