JUST DONT, CANNOT STOP ITCHING ALL OVER MY SCALP – Been using this for years, and have had absolutely no issues up until they changed the formula and the design of the bottles. My scalp itches like crazy it’s ridiculous and genuinely painful. The worst brand ever and they hide behind the phrase “organic”. Show details

Nourishing for your hair and scalp! – I have very sensitive skin and this product leaves my hair feeling soft and healthy with no irritation to my scalp or skin. I love that it has no hidden nasties too! Show details

great product all round – My whole family uses this shampoo and conditioner , and we love it. It leaves the hair feel clean and soft, the smell is nice, not over powering and fake. The fact that it has no nasties in it is why i first chose it, but now i know its made in Australia, the bottles are made from recycled plastics and the bottles are full recyclable too and its… Read more

not tested on animals,, its a win all round, and i havent even mentioned the price which is fantastic. Affordable quality and fantastic results. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

My hair is shiny and soft – This shampoo makes my hair look better than a Schwartzkopf one I was using before it, which I'm surprised by, and better than the other brands I've used recently too. It could possibly be because it's for dry hair and normally I use one for normal hair, but I really like how my hair looks now, the scent is coconut and something else which I like… Read more

as well. I didn't get any irritation or anything negative that people were saying on here, it may depend on your body chemistry/make up. I really like this product and will be buying it again once it runs out.

Buy this if you want to LOSE CHUNKS OF HAIR – Used this twice and noticed I had a huge amount of hair loss during washing and in between washes, chunks were falling out. It was horrific. My hair is so dry and brittle now. I decided to google the product and came across people complaining of the same thing which led me to put two and two together and I realised my hair falling out was because… Read more

of this product. Do not use it. There's a reason it's $5 a bottle. It's cheap and nasty and will ruin your hair.

Wouldn't use it on my dog – awful product. Dry, itchy, flaky scalp. Definitely do not recommend. Had high hopes for this aussie made, chemical and cruelty free product. So disappointed, and have just binned it. Lucky it is so cheap Show details

Really bad for your hair and scalp – I've been using this products over the last few months thinking it's a healthy choice. It caused sores appearing on my scalp, a flaky scalp, dandruff and irritating my hair line big time. I didn't realise it was due to these hair products until I decided to do some research online! What a shocker too see so many people with complaints about the products! Yet the Australian manufacturers are just shrugging it off! Show details

Ethical, economical – This works really well for me. Free of irritating ingredients. I looked in to it - albeit a while ago but as far as I know things remain the same - it is environmentally friendly, even the bottle is recycled. Show details

Better before reformulation – This review is of the Dry Nourish variant that comes in the sand coloured bottles with clear caps. The pre-2020 formulation that came in clear bottles with black caps was in a league of its own. It had a thick yet silky smooth texture, and a scent the likes of which you'd find in a high-end niche perfume. It resembled the kind of shampoos… Read more

supplied at ultra luxurious hotels. In a word, it was SEXY.

Unfortunately, the 2020 reformulation is none of the above. It's now thin and watery, and doesn't wash as well – causing me to dispense a greater amount in order to achieve a satisfactory result. It also now smells like any other generic supermarket shampoo. If you're able to get it on discount at Coles or Woolies, great. Otherwise, opt for the cheaper Aldi knock-off – Nature's Essence Organic Elements Moisture Repair – which I'm almost certain is made by the same people. You'll still feel disappointed, but for less.

On a separate more positive note, the Coco Repair conditioner with KeraDyn is fantastic.

super good product even for chemically-treated hair – I have my hair treated a few months back and it did not go well, my hair is now very tangly and the roots have actually dried. You can imagine how bad it looks like now. I stumbled upon this product and I see a noticeable improvement with my hair texture. Show details

Great shampoo and conditioner at a cheap price – Its just like the expensive ones from organic stores, but cheap and available at the supermarket. Its great. Why do I have to write thirty words for crying out loud?

Loved it once. It's changed – We have been buying this shampoo in the large pump style bottles for the whole family for years and thought it was the best thing invented ever. It was even great for psoriasis. Except sometime last year, they stopped selling the large pump bottle and changed their formula. Now we hate it. Now we don't buy it. Makes our hair feel lank and does nothing for psoriasis. Why change something that was great? Show details

Great product – Used both shampoo & conditioner for over a year and my hair never felt healthier. Hairdressers compliment on how its in a good condition and you can see & feel the difference instead of parabens clinging to it. I used to get dandruff a bit and its gone with using this. The wheatgrass one smelled great, really natural but recently changed the packing and I think maybe some ingredients as I couldn't find the same one. Great product though Show details

So, so bad! Don't buy! – I bought this because it's marketed as a sustainable and natural shampoo, nice packaging, vegan etc - and I was pleasantly surprised by how cheap it was! Well, cheap and nasty as it turns out. 1) Not organic - don't be deceived by the name. Has two or three organic ingredients, the rest is unidentified poisonous rubbish. And it has palm oil...… Read more

not really ethical at all. 2) Doesn't clean properly - left my hair feeling yucky and greasy, not thoroughly clean. Hair needs washing again in a couple of days, when it usually lasts about a week. 3) Itchy, flaky scalp - I didn't even realise that shampoo and conditioner could have this effect until I tried this horrible brand. My hair would become hot and itchy between washes, ended up not being able to sleep because of how bad it was. 4) General bad hair health - Dull, washed-out looking hair with no lustre. Much more split ends than usual.

Would not recommend this to anyone. I'm no hair product enthusiast, and I didn't think the brand of shampoo really mattered until this experience. Lesson learned.

Hair is thin, brittle and breaking – I've tried this product a few times using others in between. I already have very fine hair, and each time I go back to this conditioner, my hair thins, breaks easily and falls out. My scalp is terribly dry and flaky. I won't be using this one again. Show details

Irritating – Persisted in using it because it sounded so good and the advertising said it didn't use all the harmful stuff, but my scalp just got itchier and itchier and eczema developing around my hairline. So investigated the ingredients and it seems that dimethicone is the most likely culprit. Why produce organic products and then add an irritant… Read more

non-biodegradable ingredient like this? Just to make hair shinier. Changed shampoo and conditioner to one without dimethicone and as soon as I washed the Organic Care residue out of my hair, the irritation was eased and the eczema is disappearing.

Full of Palm oil - This is not cruelty free! – Very very disappointed with this product. Trying to find a natural, ethical and sustainable shampoo. This is not it. Full of palm oil derivatives. Is it really needed? Why? There are no such thing as "sustainable palm oil". Excessive palm oil use leads to rainforest deforestation and habit loss for a number of wild animals. based company, supplier to Coles. You really should now better. Cannot recommend this product to anyone. It is very misleading by stating it is a cruelty free product when full of dirty, unethical oil. Please Organic Care, find a palm oil free alternative! Anna

Changed formula to rubbish – This product was brilliant. Ive used it for years. New formulation in the new packaging left the base of my shower more slippery than wet glass. I couldn't move for slipping. Whatever they've added is dangerous. I'm disappointed that after all these years I have to find something else. Show details

Not good – I purchased this brand because it was cheap and cruelty free. I have lost a lot of my hair since I started using it. My hair tangles and breaks. Husband noticed the same hair loss. Switched to OGX and notice improvements in one week. A month later our hair is thicker, softer and shiny. Show details

I hated the smell of these products – This shampoo and conditioner were ok. They washed my hair very nicely and it felt clean. I didn't notice my hair falling out that much because of it. It did irritate my scalp a little bit but not much. The conditioner was ok, it wasnt super moisturising but it was still detangling my hair. It left my curly dry hair in ok condition. One thing I… Read more

hated about these products is the artificial coconut scent. It is very strong and you can get very tired of it. I am not a fan of coconut scented products. Some people may find it pleasant that is if you like coconuts. I've also tried their other products for normal and coloured hair and hated their scent as well. It was way too overpowering and artificial. The line for couloured hair was better than the one for normal hair and had less overpowering scent. Normal hair line didnt work for me at all as it didnt even detangle my hair. These products are cheap, and good quality for the price. I like that this compony doesnt test on animals. If not for their scents and scalp irritation I would continue purchasing them.

Crazy hair loss! – Same story as lots of people... I had really lovely, thick, mid-thigh length hair. After three or four years of using this product, I suffered scalp scabs, hair fall, dryness, itchiness, and flaking. I now have half the volume of hair I had prior to using this product. Please don't do this to your hair!

Terrible Is A Understatement – My whole family (parents, siblings) and myself experienced hair loss when using this product. The same goes for most of my friends who have tried it. Unless you want bald spots, damaged hair and split ends, stay away.

Significant hair loss – I've used Natures Organics for three years. About a year ago I started having significant hair fall and itchy scalp. Didn't occur to me that it could be this product since I've been using it for a while - thought it was stress related and have been to the doctor several times. My hair is drastically thinner now compared to how it was. Wish I've stopped using this sooner!

Hair loss – After using this shampoo for several weeks my hair became dry and brittle and now I have noticed severe thinning and bald patches. I have always had thin hair, but never like this. Nothing else has changed, just the use of this shampoo. I still used my regular conditioner. Maybe it is just coincidence and the hair loss would have occurred anyway,… Read more

December 19th 2018 Update: Update on my earlier review

I reviewed this shampoo earlier this year. I was very upset and worried that my severe hair loss and bald patches would be permanent. I can happily say that about 10 months later, my hair has slowly regrown - not 100% but enough to not make me feel self conscious any more. So to any other devastated user out there madly searching for some reassurance, time may repair the damage this shampoo has done. Best of luck.

DO not buy this product! – This is the worst shampoo and conditioner I have ever used. It made my hair fall out in clumps and was very distressing. I only used it for 2 weeks and have had to switch brands. My hair is now very thin as a result of organic cares harmful effects. Do not buy!

Confused – Was recommended to use after being told by old school hairdresser that this product was free from all the nasties and really affordable, was impressed thinking it sounded too good to be true. ITCHY, FLAKY AND DAMAGED HAIR. DO NOT BUY!!!! – I first discovered this product through my work colleague who raved on about it as I was just not happy with the hair products I was using at that current time. So when I went out to purchase this product I was super excited because the product stated all the good things you want. Paraben free, "organic" and free from other harmful ingredients… Read more

etc..

I used the Dry Nourish Shampoo and Conditioner and at first my hair was so luscious, the next day it was oily and dry. I thought it was due to my pillow and the weather. Continued using for about a week UNTIL I started to notice MAJOR HAIR FALL OUT!!! I became so worried I bought vitamins to help. However after about 2 weeks. My hair became irritably itchy and I developed large scabs that started to weep. After my last wash I jumped online and much to my surprise a lot of people had the same problems as I have.

Further research regarding chemicals within the product I have found was a common thread of "Methylisothiazolinone", classified as "high hazard". With a lot of skin products being discontinued as they contain this ingredient. Which leads me to wonder.. Does putting the word 'organic' make it ok to use CHEAP short cuts for the benefit of the company raking up coin and not for the consumer.. I wish I could've jumped on here to save my scalp because no amount of money can ever take back the time, effort and pain I have been through with this product.
