Hi I have the Navman 730 and can't seem to download the video images onto MiVue Manager. Nothing comes up in the listings. I have tried everything and nothing works. The recordings are on my card and I can see them on the Navman itself but when I plug it into my computer nothing downloads.
Just copy (drag) them to your desktop and use the Windows or Mac built-in Video player to watch them if required. Then manually delete them from the memory card. You dont need the MiVue manager to do this. Useless software. I have never used it.

1, Ensure MiVue is properly connected and charging correctly as its sounds like the battery is flat. Try a different charger as your charger might be faulty. 2. If you can start it go into settings and select "Restore to Defaults" 3. Remove memeory card and format on computer. You can also do this through the settings Menu if you can get to that.
G'day everyone...just wondering where I can purchase a new power cord for my MiVue 730...the one listed on the Navman website does not have the 730 listed as a compatible unit, and now I see the website is being updated so can't even get the version that's on there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is a very common power cord also used for many cameras. Nothing special about it. Its known as a mini-USB charge cable. Available on eBay or any electrical retailer including Officeworks with or without the cigarette lighter charger. (any USB charger will suffice). does anyone know if the ball in socket thing is supposed to be so stiff that you cant change the angle of the cam?
It may be a little still but you should be able to adjust it. See if there is a screw cap on the back of the ball joint. If so loosen this, adjust then tighten again
there's no tightening screws , i tried WD-40 but it wont move I'm afraid to force it incase it snaps
Hi Igor, Thank you for reaching out to us! Regarding your query, it is possible to adjust the angle of the camera by rotating the ball joint. You may need to apply some force to rotate as it was designed to be a bit firm to secure the device from wobbling while it is mounted. If you will have any other queries, you may contact our email support team at pcnsupportaus@navman.com.au.
Thank you.

Hi i bought a navman mivue 765 is that normal the charging light blinks green and orange alternative. When ever i turns off the car it says low battery and turns off straight away. Is that normal?
Hi arunnursing, Thank you for posting your query. Regarding the indicator light, it flashes green and orange while the recording is in progress. About the second query, please be informed that if you are not using a Smartbox and if a device connected to 12v saves the last video and then shuts down within 10 seconds from the disconnection of power, this will be as designed.
Hope the above information helps.
For any other concerns, you may also send an email to our email support team at pcnsupportaus@navman.com.au.

Hey all, My mv730 is only making NMEA files that not viewable does anybody know how to fix this and recover my footage??
Hi The N., Thank you for posting your query. We are sorry to hear that you are unable to view the recorded files. There is no way to recover the recorded files that appeared as NMEA files. In this case, it seems that the device is not recording properly. To resolve this, please try the steps below: First, we have to check if you are using a compatible microSD card. For the recommended microSD card brands and types, please refer to the link below. Please also check all the files saved on all folders such as the Event, Normal and Parking. external link
Format SD card. If the problem persists, please try another memory card for further isolation.
Perform hard reset. For the steps, please refer to the link below: external link
If the video files are corrupted and cannot be played at all, check and update the firmware of the device. You may download and install the latest version from the link below. external link
Hopefully, the above information will resolve the problem.

I have my MiVue 730 set to use the GPS date/Time (because the internal battery doesn't seem to remember the date). I sometimes end up with files with really random dates (like 2080). I assume this is when it hasn't found the satellite before it starts to record. But it also means when it gets the date right, today's files are deleted almost immediately because they are considered older than the 2080 ones that may have been recorded a year ago and I don't need to keep. Eg; Today I witnessed an accident at the start of a 5 hour drive. When I got home and tried to review the footage, all 5 hours of footage had been deleted but I had hundreds of hours of footage from months ago that all had the year 2080. Is there a replaceable battery that would allow me to let it use the internal clock instead of relying on satellites for the date?
Suggest you contact Navman directly

I've also got this issue, damn thing jumps to the year 2080. How hard is it to check the gps signal occasionally and update the time?!
has anyone had problems where you can't view the files on the PC if the camera doesn't run the full 5 minutes ? If I switch the car off before 5 mins I can't watch the file.

Hi I've had my Navman DDR 730 for over 12 months now with no trouble. I've just started seeing on the bottom of the screen "start recording". Sometimes it starts recording then reverts back to this and the speed is not displayed. Hope you can help. Thanks
Hi James, Thanks for posting your query. Sorry for the troubles. The first thing I would suggest is to perform a hard reset on the device. To do this, please insert a small rod (such as a straightened paperclip) into the Shutdown button beside the barcode (the camera) to shut down the device. Leave the device off for 5 seconds then press and hold the power button to turn it on.
Please also ensure you are using a Micro SD card designed for use in Dash Cameras. Faulty or incompatible Micro SD cards can cause your device to not function correctly, may arise problems with the recorded files, freeze, and even cause the device to intermittently turn off or even not power on. How do I know if the SC card is full and do I need to erase files from the SC card to make space for new recording or it will automatically erase the old files for new recording?

I thought it should be like this but it wasn't. It just stopped recording and I needed to format the SD card to erase all old files before it started recording again. Is there any setting that I might need to adjust?
Hi Michael, Sorry to know about that. Please ensure you are using a Micro SD card designed for use in Dash Cameras. Hey All, my Mivue730 has a message across the screen saying "please format SD card" - not sure what this means, anybody have any ideas?? Thks Gary
Hi Gary, We are sorry to hear that you are having a problem with your dashcam. If this is the first time the device has requested to format the current SD card inserted, please don’t worry and format the SD card. We recommend formatting the SD card prior using it in your dash camera or GPS devices to ensure the file system is compatible.
Here are the factors why we need to format the SD card: • Ensure the SD card memory is in the correct format • Enhance overall performance and lifespan. • Repair corrupted SD card. • Restore SD card to full capacity.
Remember: Formatting the SD card will delete all files on the card, please ensure you have saved any files you wish to keep prior to formatting the SD card
If your device is asking to format the SD card regularly, this is a sign that the SD card is becoming faulty and will fail soon or is already completely faulty. Please replace the current SD card with a brand-new endurance card. You may refer to the link below to check our recommended memory cards: external link
Hope this helps! Otherwise, feel free to contact our support team at PCNSupportAus@navman.com.au

Seems pretty obvious what to do. Either format the SD card on the Navman or pull it out and format it in your computer. You should be using a minimum 32GB SD card
Thanks guys, have tried all the above & it seems or looks like that the card could be faulty as it just keeps coming up telling me to reformat the card - looks like a new card coming up. Thks all to yr replies :)
No worries, Camo's!
Kind Regards, The Navman Team
Hi having the same problem with mine .Have gone through the menu but when I press format, the message keeps telling me "the SD card will erase all data on card. Continue? Well there is no where to accept the question. What now? Malcolm
Gday guys i have a navman 730 been working great for years now all of a sudden it keeps turning off when i start the car put a new cord on it and cleared the card but still not playing the game any idears ? Tom
Hi Tom, Thanks for posting your query. We are sorry to hear that your dash cam keeps turning off. Not to worry, we are here to help. Please ensure that you are using a genuine Navman Car Power Adaptor. The In-car power supply needs to have the green light glowing in part that is inserted into the cigarette port of the car to confirm power is being received from the vehicle. If not, the in-car power adaptor could be faulty. Please either test the in-car power supply in another vehicle or test the car’s cigarette port with another charging device.
Please also make sure that you are using a Micro SD card designed for use in Dash Cameras such as SanDisk Endurance series, and Kingston Endurance series. Faulty or incompatible Micro SD cards can cause your device to not function correctly, may arise problems with the recorded files, freeze, and even cause the device to intermittently turn off or even not power on.
