Wouldn't go near this company again even if it was the last aircon company on earth. From installation to multiple issues with this unit since install, Needham air have done nothing but try and palm off their issues and blame the manufacturer. (seems like other reviewers have also mentioned) The 'service administrators' seem to be the only people… Read more

you speak to in this company, and they basically just decide what will and won't happen. They have proven on multiple occasions that they simply don't care, they are all lovely and charming and you feel like a valued customer, until they have your money then their care factor goes out the window. Even scheduling warranty repairs takes weeks to even get looked at let alone fixed. I don't blame the actual servicemen on the ground, they have always been helpful and professional, it all seems to be the behind the scenes 'administrators' that run the show. Be very cautious about using Needham for any new aircon installations or repairs.

quite old and has developed an intermittent fault, diagnosed by Needham. The service tech said they could offer various repair options, such as outdoor component replacement only or full replacement, with a scale of costs for various repair options. I called and emailed C**** several times to get repair or replacement quotes. Nothing has come back from her after one month now. I have since decided to just bite the bullet and replace the whole system due to its age and specifically asked Needham, via a separate email address, for a quote for a brand new system. Again nothing back from them after two weeks, like talking into a a black hole. Very weird company to deal with; they might just ignore phone calls and emails from you, strange but true!

All of the Needham Air staff that presented on the day of instal from the lead foreman, electrician, instal staff etc were all punctual, polite, worked diligently, cleaned up after the job and left us with a beautiful new reverse cycle system which we love! he does. All the thinks he talks about is all backed up by facts and proof in the 15 page they do - pretty laid out compared to a DACS quote.

Two things Cameron mentioned that no other company mentioned to me was Pascal Resistance & Minimum Airflow/Performance. These are some key things. When asked the 3 other quoting company's what the pa was, none could confirm or even replied. Proof Needhamair must be doing something right.

Due to the my particular requests, Cameron had the Needhamair Install Team - Ahren & Marty pop past before install and check everything can go as planned. All was well and so all was a go!

Install day was stressful seeing holes everywhere, but the team is well equipped and covered & put drop sheets everywhere.

The end result was a perfect install - we would know. We used to run a aircon company back in the day.

They went as far as helping me sink the pavers so the outdoor system rubber mounts are hidden.

The Mitsubishi Electric Unit is perfect! Needhamair Inhouse Factory that makes all there own metalwork in Fremantle is Perfect! Looks well built and not some mass produced components. Thanks to Cameron and the Team of Needhamair. Was a pleasure and thank you again. A review is the least I can do for the great job!

Terrible after service – We installed at $12K system with Needham in Sep 2017. In November 2021 we realised the aircon wasn’t cooling properly and called. They attended and repaired some damage to ducting but the system is still not cooling, air coming out at 35 degrees from some vents. Now saying they can only attend in March and we will be changed. This system is less than 5 years old, very disappointed. Show details

same new job of like for like replacement of my old AC unit with similar newer model. However Needhamir quotation for a new AC unit installation was very comprehensive and reasonable price for the following reasons from start to finish:

• The consultant Dean Evan who came out to my property was very knowledgeable, technical and passionate with the product. He was very thorough with the full inspection from the outdoor AC unit and the indoor, climbing through the man hole ceiling to ensure that I was getting the right air flow throughout the rooms. He was patience and answered all my FAQs. • The quote included the brochure of the new model, full job description of removing old AC, with what will be replace and what will be kept. • There was promotion with getting a bonus $200 EFTOPS gift card, if customers bought the Mitsubishi AC for that particular model. This was a perfect opportunity time given the circumstance I had with a burnt out motor issue. • Dean assigned his traders and electrician to came out on the schedule date. The team came out on exactly time to my house at 7am and completed the job, including test the AC and handed over the user manual to me after lunch. So quick! • Neehamair follow up with me after post sale with emailing me soft PDF copy of the user manual, invoice and how to make a claim to get the gift card. Overall, I had a good customer experience with no hassle and would recommend Neehamair highly to other customers who are thinking of buying a new air con or getting a service/repair for their existing air con.

temp setting! This was our initial response after surviving a month of being reduced to 2 fans for cooling, over the Christmas break! After the final worker arrived to install the wifi connections, we told him of our problem - turning it off about 2:30pm each afternoon to stop getting too cold, which he fixed there and then! We now have the freedom to turn on the cooling before we get home, via the wifi unit and the setting on our phone! But there is less need to do that now, since the sensor was reset to the control unit! I would heartily recommend Needhamair as a leader in the Airconditioning industry in Western Australia. They are a Western Australian owned company and the custom made exchange units are made here also!

into designing a robust but adptive system for us (far more than other companies). We have found the system to be very versatile and efficient even during the 40+ degree days that we are experiencing. The system has never struggled in the slightest. The layout that Needham Air designed has allowed us to use the house as we had planned and hoped for. The wifi enabled Mitsubishi controller is also a fantastic and useful add on feature. Thank you!

the company’s faulty installation of the air conditioning system into our brand new home, the air conditioner emitted a musty horrible smell from inception. Needham Air refused to honour their warranty for its faults, blaming me and my family, our good builders, Actron Air the manufacturer, and anyone else involved to recuse themselves from repair often using the catch phrase of “take us to court”! Much to the shock and dismay of all involved including Consumer Protection authorities. Throughout Needham Air was aggressive and insulting to me and my family and repairers trying to diagnose the issues and work on a solution.

Eventually we learned that the return air was installed incorrectly, drawing moisture into the indoor unit, damaging components in the chain. The unit was replaced at my significant expense $$$$$ to the shock of those assisting me to rectify the problem. I understand the industry is well aware of Needham Air’s negative and disgusting habits.

Just stay away!

system was removed with minimal mess and the guys were precise and efficient installing completely redesigned ducting with new indoor and outdoor units. They worked with us, were extremely courteous and very patient with all our questions!. All done in 2 days. Our place has never been so cool (it's 33 deg outside as I write this and I'm very comfortable in my study is a lovely 23!!). I highly recommend using Needhamair.

Needham Air to comply with noise regulations but eventually informed me "Needham Air are more interested in avoiding the problem than addressing it" and imposed restrictions on my use of the system. After having dealt fruitlessly with[name removed] all this time, one of the technicians suggest that his father, [name removed], be advised of this fiasco. [name removed] was the complete opposite of [name removed], being both polite and professional and the problem was solved within weeks. Faulty work, terrible service and consumer protection complaint – Needham sent me an incompetent technician, charged me to misdiagnose an issue, refused to refund when another company found and fixed the actual problem and he also found their previous repair job on a gas leak was not done properly and they refused to fix their mistake. Details if you want to know specifics:

I contacted Needham for repair of a specific fault code on my air conditioner and was told I needed a diagnostic appointment to quote repair. The technician didn’t seem to know what he was doing, only after I said what the fault code was listed as in the manual did he then say that’s what needed to be done. He said 1 of 2 pressure switches needed replacing and rather than spend time working out which, it would be cheaper to replace both. He then charged me $253 for this appointment to be paid then. Days later I received their quote of another estimated $845+GST to fix. I contacted asking if we could determine which switch needed replacing before ordering both and was told the technician who I saw had quit after not working there long and they couldn’t vouch for his work. I asked that someone else come and check the diagnosis before giving them the ok to purchase parts so we wouldn’t need both. The next day they emailed me that they wouldn’t do that and instead would bring both switches and only charge me whichever is needed. I replied that given the situation I wanted a second opinion. I had another company come and it turns out the issue was not these switches at all but that one of the outdoor fan motor capacitors was faulty causing a pressure issue. He replaced the capacitor in that appointment and it’s been working perfectly since. Doing this repair he also found that the repair job Needham had done 7 months prior to fix a gas leak was not done completely and my system is not regased properly.

I then contacted Needham again and said that given their diagnosis was completely wrong I wanted to be refunded the $253 diagnosis appointment and wondered what their policy was on their work being faulty. They asked me to put it in writing for the director to review. I did so immediately, chased them by phone and email several times when they didn’t get back to me after months and then contacted consumer protection who said they could not quote for works that didn’t need repair and advised me to submit a formal complaint. I did so and the complaint handler said they gave her the run around and in the end would not listen to her and she sent me information to process through small claims.

Thank goodness I didn’t go ahead with the repair with them which would’ve cost me another $845+GST and not solved the problem. But I still need to fix the leak repair job they didn’t do properly which they charged me $1430 for and they’ve taken another $253 for doing nothing.

problem. In the middle of winter that is unacceptable. To their credit, after sending some feedback via email, I managed to have them come 3 days later. I was promised by the technician who diagnosed the problem that he would ring the office and have them prioritise the report because the wait on a motor from the eastern states was a week. I again had to call servicing to check that this had been looked at...twice....with a weekend in between...another three days without heating. To cut a long story short, their customer service is terrible. Over two weeks without heating in the middle of winter!! I get the logistics of parts coming from over east, but really, the dismissiveness from office staff was really disappointing and with two young kids and no heating for that length of time, it's just not good enough. I have faithfully had this unit serviced every year as recommended and this year's service prior to the motor dying was only 5 weeks earlier. I sincerely hope they sort out their servicing division better in the future. Based on this after sales experience, I'm reluctant to recommend.

he has his sales technique, he really does have good knowledge and that's what swung it for us. The Installers Ahren, Rhys, Martin and Mark were all highly professional, and from what we can see, have done a great job. They were very respectful of our house and made sure all marks and mess was completely cleaned away after use. We had one issue with the Unit in the garden not being secured properly causing a risk to our kids, but as soon as this was raised they ensured the matter was resolved to our satisfaction. The technician Chad who came to check the air flow was also professional, knowledgeable and friendly. All in all we are very happy with the service we have obtained from Needhamair and the Mitsubishi unit seems to be working well. We would recommend needhamair based on our experience.

The end of the story is that I now have a air-conditioning system that doesn't work for the upstairs part of my home. I was told I could either have an additional vent / return (they sized everything wrong and it wasn't working) or they would fix the upstairs. I chose the vent / return.

To make matters even worse, they damaged my ceiling in several places over several days, of which they did pay for some of the damage.

To add further insult to injury, after Needham air had finished trying to overcharge and butcher my house, I had roof and ceiling damage over the next winter, which was directly due to the amount of rubbish left in the gutter, misplaced tiles and general shoddy workmanship. I had to pay for a roofing repaired to fix this, which was not existing damage since the air-con was the first thing I did (and only work involving the roof and ceiling space).

The saga continued with Needhamair Administration contacting 1 year after the botched installation for alleged "outstanding payment". When I forwarded my payment in full email, and highlighted the winter ceiling / roof damage, true to Needham form this was ignored.

fault Needhamair at any point in our dealings with them. They were able to explain to us how and why what they'd quoted would suit our home and how we wanted to be able to use the system.

We opted for a Mitsubishi Electric system, with a zone controller and wifi and have been really happy with its performance.

Simply put, Needhamair is NOT a reputable company and does NOT provide good customer service.

I found very limited review, but I wished someone has warmed me!
