Extremely responsive to technical requests. I wanted to get my static IP address rotated and it was actioned within 5 minutes. Neptune is run be technical people who know what they are doing, hence I highly recommend Neptune.
Outstanding ISP experience. Switched from iiNet. Upgraded to FTTP. Connection is rock solid. Extremely fast. Special shout out to the customer service, which is Australian based. Very effectively solved any minor issues have had via Whatsapp or Discord. Zero negative feedback. Am recommending Neptune to family and anyone who will listen!
As soon as our FTTP was ready I went online and signed up for the 500/50 plan for $85/month. Cheapest of anyone, plus no extra for a static IP. Six minutes after signing up the service was active! Actual speeds are about 532/47 which is pretty much the fastest I've seen out of all providers. Very responsive and helpful on WhatsApp as well. Highly recommended.

Neptune has been amazing. Their customer service is brilliant, Angus was so kind and helpful, immediately knew the issue I was experiencing (which had nothing to do with Neptune itself!) and guided me through how to fix it. The connection has been fast and reliable, it was available almost immediately after purchase and the pricing has been soo reasonable given how much everything costs these days.
The Usenet and Torrent Speeds are fantastic. Neptune has great tech support. I highly recommend Neptune Internet. Here's my Openwrt Speed Monitor Picture, see attached Picture.
I churned away from Launtel and can say Neptune are as good or better in every way( monitored saily with a samknows box). Responsive Australian based support, fast congestion free network, the ability to change speeds daily yess to all of them at a much sharper price. Show details
Neptune is a boutique NBN provider that clearly prioritises network engineering over marketing gimmicks. They don’t offer "honeymoon" deals or introductory sales; instead, they provide a transparent, high-performance service for those who value quality and control. I recently switched to their Home Hyperfast tier on HFC and the results are… Read more
exceptional. Using a UniFi setup, I’m consistently hitting 1.96 Gbps download with an incredibly low 11ms latency to local gateways. For HFC, this is effectively the physical ceiling of the technology.
What sets them apart are the power-user inclusions that usually cost extra elsewhere: • Static IPv4 and IPv6 included by default. • Layer 2 architecture which results in noticeably "snappier" routing compared to aggregated providers. • Atmosphere DNS for network-level filtering.
It’s refreshing to see a provider focus on headroom and stability rather than over-subscribing their links. I have already recommended them to several colleagues.
To the Neptune team: please keep doing what you’re doing. There is a small but passionate group of us who value this level of transparency and technical excellence. Don't change a thing!
Short review: Don't go anywhere else, connection is super stable and the speeds are beyond what they quote. Long review: I had been with another supplier for 16 years due to a family member working for the major telco and was super hesitant to change. After getting mucked around for 2 weeks trying to get FTTP from and being told 5g would be a… Read more
better connection. I currently save $5 a month from my previous telco (not much I know) but the speed change and stability is where the kicker comes in (see attached screen shots).I had searched Reddit after being frustrated and lost with who to go for and the threads were all overwhelmingly saying to go with Neptune. Switching was super easy and the 5 day trial cemented it for me. Customer service is unprecedented, NBN tech's had issues with running the cable and were confused why the job was raised as priority and told to go back out the next day to fix the connection, when most telco's just raise it as a standard repair. The emails are personalised and clearly not a robot or overseas customer service centre, they are personal and humorous (Angus looking at you here, I hope you get that raise you deserve) and super prompt. If you are reading this review wondering if you should swap, don't hesitate do it right now.
I have joined Neptune in August so this will be my third month with Neptune at the time of posting this review. Excellent inclusions such as free static IPv4 & IPv6 address, sinkhole Atmosphere DNS, Neptune VPN (which I have not used yet) and excellent online portal (which I know they are continuously improving on) and more importantly,… Read more
outstanding support should the need arise, for a very fair ongoing price of $85/month at the time of posting.
Shoutout to James (initial onboarding), Murry, Ryan (for ongoing support) and counting as they 99.9% know what they are doing (since nobody is perfect), very humble, open to constructive feedback for continuous improvement and are giving their best regardless of a quiet, good, busy or bad day.
There was a brief outage last September when Neptune was normalising the 500/50 and 750/50 plans such that it caused many customers to lose internet connection for 0.5 - 3.5 hours.
While communications via the online portal and/or email notification could be improved, follow-up email in the next day was very satisfying as the team managed to do a root cause analysis that was concise as it is not an easy thing to do that even I sometimes struggle with.
This shows the team’s commitment to continuous improvement as the connection has been silky smooth since then and any future planned maintenance are informed in advance so there are no nasty surprises ahead. I am glad that feedbacks given to date were thoughtfully considered and some were taken onboard when the positives outweigh the negatives.
I hope Neptune will be a sustainable business in the long run and that I will be able to slowly refer more people to Neptune should they want an ISP with excellent support and very fair ongoing pricing.
P.S. At the time of writing Neptune is not suited for people who want a landline / home phone bundled with their NBN plan and/or churners who are willing to switch providers every 6 - 12 months for the absolute cheapest promotional pricing.
Signing up & setting things up was a breeze, was online within 5 minutes did have to swap my old Optus modem over with a spare TP-Link modem, but I'm getting a better model next week but It will do for now, I'm actually near perfect speed was sick of waiting for Optus to upgrade my speed - Thank you, Neptune, you guys are the real deal. I'm going to reinforce all the positive comments below about how great the product offering and support has been from Neptune. We switched because of the static IP and DNS inclusions, but now, frankly my experience with how fast, easy and well documented everything is has impressed me a lot. We sit in a category of clients that have good… Read more
networking knowledge but don't need enterprise grade products and price tags, allowing us to work from our home office and look after our own needs. Stability, speed and transparency are very important, because ISPs who treat us like mushrooms cost us time and therefore money whenever there's an outage and they play the "it's not us, it's NBN" game (and we can see it isn't NBN).
We're on the NSW Central Coast, using FTTP and our speeds are averaging 450/49 Mbps with 4-5 ms latency to AU test sites on the 500/50 plan, and this is over WiFi-6.
Suffice to say, I recommend this product, especially to people in the same client category as we are.
Joined Neptune as I was looking for a provider that was as serious about networking technology as AussieBB without the price tag. Neptune didn't just match that description but, IMO, exceeds it. A fixed IPV4 adress as standard, a pihole based dns server, looking glasses and an easy to understand user interface. On top of all this, the connection… Read more
has no jitter, no drop outs, and a very low latency that will only improve as Neptune have announced a new Brisbane PoP (for QLD customers). I'd highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great ISP, regardless if you want the features or just a great NBN plan.

Neptune the first NBN provider I sign up with and I'm able to use strict Adblocker with flawless Wi-Fi Calling by default!
There's also Atmosphere DNS. Neptune is again the first NBN provider I come across that incorporates world-renowned blocklists such as HaGeZi, StevenBlack, and URLhaus, in addition to native tracking.
Kudos for such a professional service!
Follow-up · Setup was seamless and straightforward. Service was activated on my old router in 60 seconds while the new one was on the way. No outages so far. Got one notification email about a planned maintenance almost 2 weeks ahead. Speed has been excellent. Very close to the advertised range. No drops.
Really fast speeds, advanced configurations for power users, fast, prompt and professional service for customers. Probably been the best ISP I've had in over a decade. Show details
Follow-up · Planned outages on only 2 occasions thus far, both informed ahead of time and happening outside busy hours. I brought my own modem and as my connection was FTTP did not need anything besides the equipment the building came with. Setup was easy and support was excellent.

beyond to provide a first class service. A couple of examples. 1. I had an issue with my VOIP service not registering. Murray from Neptune not only traced the issue but contacted my VOIP provider on my behalf to solve the problem. Worth noting the problem was at th VOIP providers end. 2. I was away on a business trip when my main router failed. Neptune picked up the failure, created a ticket and sent me an email stating there was an issue and the NBN NTD check ok so the issue must be on my router. This level of service is normally reserved for platinum enterprise customers, not a simple residential end user, and that is the reason I thing Neptune deserve more than 5 stars.

I’ll start with the positives: they’re nice people. The downside is that, in reality, they’re not much better than the rest. I’ve been with them for six months and have experienced more downtime than with previous providers. I suspect this is partly due to them trying to differentiate themselves in a very competitive market. They’re quite a… Read more
technical group, which sometimes means things get broken along the way.
DNS can be flaky, and the referral program isn’t as good as it used to be. The upstream provider also doesn’t seem as fast as others I’ve used before. I think this might be a GSL-related issue, as I’ve had similar experiences with providers like Launtel and Leaptel routing vs everyone else is around 5-10ms so not ground shaking difference.
On the positive side, the owners are fairly upfront about the issues they face, which I appreciate. For context, I’m on FTTP with a UniFi setup and consider myself fairly technical. Unfortunately, I don’t see a strong reason to stay.
It’s also worth noting that if you’re a non-technical user, Neptune probably isn’t the best fit—it could be a confusing internet provider to deal with. However, if you’re more technical, you might appreciate what they offer. That said, many of their features like Atmosphere DNS, are things you can set up yourself, so they’re not really a major value add. Their VPN offering also runs over Akamai (Linode) virtual machines, so you might be better off just using a dedicated service like NordVPN.
Leading the pack for features, value and support! It is easy to think that all NBN suppliers are the same and most of the time that is probably close to true but there are a few areas where Neptune has stood out for me. 1. Value, they aren't the cheapest in terms of monthly rate during introductory discounts but if you don't want to churn every… Read more
six months then I they are amongst the lowest on-going price I have seen. 2. Features, they offer a couple of free VPNs (great for international streaming content and secure connections while away from home), free static IP and more. They also make a lot of information available in the online portal that I haven't seen from other ISPs. 3. Local support. You don't need it until you need it and then it makes a huge difference, the local support team are available on a number of mediums but being happy to talk on platforms like Whatsapp has made a huge difference when troubleshooting connection issues (it was a problem with my hardware).
Would definitely recommend.
We have only just joined Neptune, but I have been absolutely amazed by their customer service already! suggested practical workarounds. He even went as far as recommending the ideal routers from our local Officeworks to ensure our hardware actually suited our new plan.
What impressed me most was their proactive ticket monitoring, alongside their competitive pricing offer for our 500/50 plan.
After we resolved an initial speed-cap issue of 10 Mbps (caused by our old router), Neptune noticed on our new router that the service now appeared capped at 100 Mbps— even though our address is capable of 2 Gbps.
Murray and Angus stayed on the case to monitor our service health, working directly with my son on additional in-depth troubleshooting before ultimately raising a ticket with NBN to replace the NTD.
This has been the best service we have experienced with a telco provider between the UK and Australia. I am retired and struggle with IT issues quite a lot; Murray, in particular, was incredibly patient working with both myself and my son to navigate the entire process. We really do appreciate the help.

Angus has been genuinely the best help. I cannot thank him enough, changed providers because our last provider had horrendous customer support. I switched to Neptune a few days ago. The service offers great value, though the transition wasn’t as smooth as expected due to connectivity issues between my Google Wifi Nest Pro and the NBN box.
