COVID 19 delivery – I got a bit worried when I saw that a delivery was made at 00.00hrs on the tracking system. But 2 slabs and a box of a dozen wines arrived the following day(Friday). Gareth the driver kept to the social distancing and was jovial in these trying times. It wasn't a bad experience at all. I will use them again. I will also make my orders earlier to avoid disappointment if there are delays. Happy customer here. Show details
Single bottle delivered to a PO Box without issues – A single bottle was ordered from Dan Murphy's. This was my first web order and delivery from Dan's. I used my PO box as my delivery address. The AustPost app, notified me of all stages of the delivery, once the tracking information was supplied. I showed up, signed for it without issue. The box itself was well packed and suitable for the job. The… Read more
good arrived in good condition without damage. If I did not have a PO box, then I would have used a free parcel locker.
Missing carton from Dan Murphys – I ordered a carton plus 1 bottle. Only the 1 bottle turned up. The driver requested that I sign for it, and he told me that he would follow up the missing carton. The driver should not be asking customers to sign in those circumstances. Now Dan Murphys say that I have received my order. Plus very slow service and follow up. Ripped off by someone! Show details

Good reliable service – Landed at their depot on Thursday, was delivered today on Monday! Made a purchase through eBay and also directly through the store (a day or so apart). Both packages arrived together, Very Satisfied. The driver was very nice very professional Show details
GOOD SERVICE (AND GETTING BETTER, BUT IT'S DRIVER DEPENDENT) – I regularly order wine from the Woolworths cohort of Winemarket, Cellarmasters, Dan Murphy, BWS etc all of which is delivered by Nexday. Service is generally good and usually delivered on the day expected. Recently, I've been getting texts from the local driver giving me a delivery time window of about two hours which is very useful, and so far,… Read more
reliable. I'm on the lower North Shore in Sydney which is a busy area for couriers and am thankful for the excellent service this driver gives. I guess the service depends more on your local driver than anyone else.
Great service – I ordered a carton of wine from Dan Murphys and it was delivered by Nextday. DM site said 3 to 7 business days for regional Qld and I got it in 2 days! I couldn’t ask for better than that. The delivery driver was friendly and cheerful. After seeing so much negative feedback I felt obliged to give them the positive feedback they deserved this time. MINUS STAR for NEXDAY (JOKE) ORDERED ON THE 31/01/219 DELIVERY DATE 13/02/2019 – 6 bottles of wine ordered through Dan Murphy and 13 days to receive Wine. Appalling service. The only reason it turned up at all was because I rang Dan Murphy’s and they told me it would take 2 days to investigate SHOCKING SERVICE Show details
Terrible service, – Was waiting to receive my delivery all day only to get ANOTHER text saying they had pushed my delivery date back AT 4 PM on the delivery day. Terrible service. Show details
If I could leave a zero star review, I would! – Waiting for a Dan Murphy's order to be delivered within the 2-4 business days from this Company that never arrived a week later. Upon tracking the parcel, it showed that the delivery was with the driver, but getting late in the day I decided to call to see where it was. After being on hold with the company I was told that the parcel has been… Read more
flagged as being "lost" and there was nothing they could do. Absolutely hopeless. I asked how the website tracking showed that the parcel was with the driver, only to be told that the parcel is not scanned and a separate document is, so how could the driver know if it was placed on board or not. Dan Murphy's have made a horrible choice in selecting this company for their deliveries.

Worst delivery service – Next Day were contracted to deliver several deliveries of wine we bought (by the retailer) and each time there were issues with it. The last straw was when we asked that delivery driver call on approach (as we had issues with drivers not even coming to the front door before marking the delivery as "No one home", despite someone being home). … Read more
This one delivery was turned back to the depot 4 times, each time the driver marking as "No one home" and no answer when they called, despite the fact no one called. When I called and confronted Next Day, and demanded to see the screen shots of these supposed call attempts they suddenly arranged immediate delivery.
Worst service ever, highly recommend not using the,
Hardly Nexday. Hardly very good logistics – Initial delivery was quick enough. Was unlucky to duck out and miss the driver by 3 minutes though. Called straight away and got an abrupt guy who said they couldn't come back. Fair enough. Next available delivery slot: 5 days time. Not fair enough. Every other courier these days manages to use a local drop point or redelivers within a day. Come on, guys. Show details
Delivery timing fine, some drivers have no service ethic – Mostly delivered on time, however, if the driver is Indian, or Pakistani, or Afghanistani, or Iranian etc., service is polite and friendly and respectful and the goods handed into my hands. Of around sixty or so deliveries in the past three years, only three have been from 'Aussies' (recognising we are all Australian) and they just dump the parcel… Read more
on the ground, take the signature, and consider they have met their service obligation. Five star service if Asian delivered, one star service if 'Aussie bloke' delivered. Today's delivery was by an Aussie bloke, thus I gave a 3 star average. Probably should be 4 star on a weighted average basis as most deliveries have been by Asians.

No delivery, no notification - Ruined a wedding – I ordered several cases of alcohol to be delivered on a Friday in preparation for a Wedding reception on the weekend. The delivery was not made and the courier didn't even bother to call us or notify Dan Murphy's of the non-delivery. To add further insult, they also refused to make the delivery on the weekend. I will never order from any company that uses Nexday as their courier.
Rubbish awful and hopeless – Ordered beer from Dan Murphy's that had to come from interstate. The expected delivery date was four days but was pushed back another day to a Friday. We then waited all day but went to collect the kids from school and when we for back we found out that we missed the driver by five minutes. We called them immediately but were refused a redelivery… Read more
and was told that we'd have to wait until Wednesday! Unbelievable, I don't know why Dan Murphy's use this awful company. The tracking service is not a tracking device it just tells you when the package is with the driver.
Terrible – I gave this company a rating of 1 because it wouldn't let me put 0. Ordered some wine from Dan Murphys which arrived in Hobart in 2 days later. A week later it still hadn't been delivered. Contacted Dan Murphys who chased it up. One box was delivered the next day. The second box still hasn't delivered. Tracking says its at some depot, its… Read more
been there for 10 days. Seriously?? Do not use this company. Why is it called Nexday, should be NexCentury...
Driver attempted delivery next door 3 times and reported incorrect address despite huge company sign – Ordered a small package, have had 3 failed delivery attempts as drivers keep trying to deliver it to the restaurant next door and reported they could not see the company sign?? Meanwhile I have to call the seller every time and rebook a delivery which takes 2 days each time. Show details
Rename to swift n shift – **updated at bottom. So my delivery has been sitting in some sort of limbo where I should have had it, it’s apparently with driver, tracking is useless or very outdated. So far it’s a week from Sydney to Melbourne. Even Australia post isn’t this bad. Really have no idea what they are doing but there is clearly no interest in package… Read more

The most useless couriers I’ve ever dealt with
**The update
Rather expensive purchase that must be signed for as per delivery instructions has apparently been left unattended. I live next to public path and a park. I received a text suggesting it had been delivered? I thought they must have left a note to collect but nope.
Apparel left it there in the open.
Thankfully the sender could see the error of this useless company and has offered to resend another.
Read the reviews. It’s a terrible company that clearly has no idea what they are doing.
Nex...week some time deliveries – Absolutely terrible. Ordered an item from Dan Murphy and within 2 days of ordering I could see my item was being shipped. From there it took 1 week for this item to make its way from one side or Melbourne to the other. Unfortunately I wasn’t home when the driver tried to make the delivery. When I tried to arrange a new delivery I was told the soonest my parcel could be delivered was in 5 days. I am extremely disappointed. Show details
Next Year not Next Day – Dont use this mob if you want your goods in a reasonable time. They are pathetic. When I rang to enquire I got a different person every time and each told a different story. The wine company I purchased from has now given them the flick. One story was they dont have regional delivery drivers and farm out deliveries to local companies. I live on the Sunshine Coast. Dont hold your breath waiting for your goods. Show details
Unreliable – This company routinely takes 12 days to ship goods from Melbourne to Tasmania, usually waiting around for a week unattended in warehouses. As my consignments consist of wine it means that it is not practical to have things sent over warmer months. Langtons wine auctions need to dump them and go back to Australia Post who were twice as quick and can be held accountable for their services. Show details
Logistical Nightmare – Lost a Dan Murphys parcel, and when questioned the staff were completely unwilling to help even sending me to contact the wrong courier company. Parcel has been sitting in their depot for 5 days with no signs of it leaving soon. It's unfortunate that Dan Murphy's has resorted to using this company as they have lost a customer until they go back to Australia Post. Show details

Bad. Consistently bad. But at least they're consistent! – Just the worst communication I have encountered in a long time. Unworkable. I tried to help, but Next Day couriers made it impossible. I'm surprised Dan Murphy's would work with this company, and while they probably won't notice, DM will pay a price by aligning their online service with such astounding incompetence. I'm utterly shocked. Show details
Worst delivery company – I ordered a case of cider I can only get through Dan Murphys for my partner two weeks ago thinking it would arrive in time as I have ordered things in America before that has arrived sooner. that number. Called Nexday back who said that it's waiting to be picked up. It has already been sitting at their depot for 3 days now. She basically said to keep checking to see when the item is scanned in. Dan Murphys can't help either. Definitely won't be going through Dan Murphys or Nexday again!
Next month!!!! – My Dan Murphy's order is still in the back of a truck somewhere. My Dan Murphys deliveries have always been left inside my high gate. Not this time. They left a card. So I emailed and asked them to redeliver and gave them authority to leave. another card arrived in my mailbox. They then texted me to say it would be delivered the next day and I… Read more
texted back to say where to leave and giving them the authority to leave. I stayed in all day and left my front door wide open so that it was apparent that someone was home. Another card in my letterbox!!! This is Thursday and I'm told that my delivery now won't be delivered until Monday next week!!!! It will actually be next month!!! I have to consider using Dan Murphys again. Next Day you need to review your protocols and your drivers!!!
Don't use unless you are prepared to be at address all day – Didn't realise when I ordered a delivery only product from Dan Murphys that it would come by courier (Nexday) with no other options but to sign for delivery (that is, wasn't allowed to give authority to leave and if happened to be out at the time they delivered there was no pick up option like Aust Post has). come on day specified and it seems the parcel went MIA. Once all the "managers" were onto it, was eventually found and I was able to pick up in store after they delivered there. That said didn't arrive at the store by the time they said it would be there either as driver got delayed. Basically I'd say only use if you are at the delivery address ALL day.
Service, Logistics? These guys don't even understand those terms – I have experienced deliveries via Nexday with wine deliveries from two separate companies, both using Nexday . Despite providing the consignor with specific instructions, such as the fact I live in a gated community and requests to call on the day with an estimate of when the goods will be delivered, the delivery is very much a hit and miss… Read more
affair.
Nexday claim that they don't deliver in my area (metropolitan Gold Coast - a block from the Gold Coast Hwy) every day, then they won't commit to either an AM or PM delivery and if the courier calls at all, it usually when he is outside the main gate of the community where I live. I have better things to do with my day than wait around for a couple of cases of plonk.
The last 'delivery' from Dan Murphy's took four attempts over more than a week - all of which failed - so I had no option but to cancel the order. I am now on the first instalment of another delivery from Cellarmasters; stayed in until 2:00 pm on the alleged delivery day and couldn't wait longer, no show, missed delivery; next attempt to be on Monday of next week but I cannot wait beyond 4:00 pm so delivery uncertain. The responses are farcical: for example, I was told that because I live in a gated community 'it makes it difficult for us'. Really !!! I thought I was the paying customer in this farce and was entitled to service. Silly me!
Years of involvement in logistics and transport (Charter-level membership of CILTA) indicate to me Nexday are in the wrong business and have a hide to use the term 'Logistics' in their title.
Say your package is being delivered when it's not – Missed a package so got a "sorry we missed you" card so I rang the company and asked about the delivery. They assured me it would be delivered the next day which turned out to be utter bull. I rang them up again wondering where the package was saying I was meant to get it delivered and the lady told me there wasn't enough packages being delivered… Read more
to my AREA but promised that it would be delivered the following day (Wednesday). This has been going on since Monday. Now I have to cancel any plans for the day and wait at home hoping my package will turn up.
Dan Murphys uses them for their "Connection" range of goods...I purchased three different varieties of drinks from them with this connection program and if this is the only way to get the goods delivered I will never be using them again. This is shockingly bad and unreliable delivery service.
Useless – Said the package was delivered on the tracking information. Four phone calls later find out that it isn't scheduled for delivery until the next day and if i am not home I will have to pay for a redelivery. Why do dan muprhys use them? Show details
Never been able to deliver – I have ordered several boxes of wine from vinomofo (great company, unfortunately they use nexday) Nexday have never been able to successfully deliver the wine. They blatantly ignore shipping instructions, don't leave a calling card. Each time I have to go to the depot to pick it up because they won't redeliver. Show details
Incompetent - only come when a delivery truck is in your area – I had a delivery coming through Dan Murphy's. It arrived when I was not home and found a card. That part of the process was ok. Until I tried to arrange a re-delivery. I work from home on a Wednesday, so tried twice to have the delivery changed to the Wednesday. Neither time it came. delivery trucks in the area on those days. I then changed the address to my work address and was assured it would come early the next week. Surprise surprise, it never came and I ended up cancelling my Dan Murphy's order. Don't use them if you can avoid it.
Dreadful performance – I placed an order with Dan Murphy's on Dec 10 2016. It is now Jan 6 2017 with no goods delivered. In the last two to thee weeks I have chased Nexday and everything they promised had turned out to be a complete fabrication. information suggesting they are performing adequately.
I also have to complain about Dan Murphy's customer service. While very polite, they offer no further insight into what is going on and when asked to register a complaint, no details are left in their system to suggest I have ever called before. I worry this could also be a scheme designed to hide their true performance figures.
To cap it all, I have just been told that if I cancel my order, I have to wait for the goods to be received back into their warehouse before they refund. If Nexday cannot even get it to my house, how the heck am I expected to have any confidence they will now intercept the goods and correctly return to the sender!
I may have to get my credit card issuer involved in this one!
I am afraid to say that "sorry" does not cut it in customer service nowadays. It should be immediately removed from their vocabulary! People are happy if they can see a potential resolution to their issues and this means positive intervention. A new product should have been immediately despatched via a different delivery method or a cancellation and immediate refund offered regardless of where the goods were in transit. That would give the customer a resolution to the dispute and whilst disappointing, would have been a satisfactory outcome.
I would never use this company again – I missed the first attempt (no card or anything) so I rescheduled then they rescheduled on me without telling me I sat at my letterbox for 2 days and nothing it still hasn't arrived in do not recommend them Show details
