Worst vacuum cleaner ever – Even after cleaning/replacing filters etc, the vacuum clogs up and loses suction. Then after about 10 minutes use the vacuum switches off due to overheating. Then you have to wait for it to cool down, so you can do another 10 minutes vacuuming before it shuts down again. The vacuum is pathetic and I would never buy anything Nilfisk again. Show details
Nilfisk bagless meteor suction fix – I brought a Nilfisk bagless meteor vacuum cleaner 10 years ago because of price it was cheaper than a dyson at the time. Suction was pretty poor the first time I used it found out the problem took out the dust container cyclone insert. Now the vacuum cleaner works wonders 10 years later I still have that vacuum cleaner and good suction with very… Read more
clean floors. I clean out the filter after every vacuum. I wash the HEPA filter every three months. I also buy a new Heifer filter every 12 months. It's my second best vacuum cleaner to a Dyson vacuum.
Pathetic Vac – This vac is absolutely awful. It misses and jumps spots on the carpet - it does not glide as one should. We had an Electrolux - lasted 20 years. This one 5 years. Show details

Great Bagless Vacuum CLeaner – Ordered Friday then came Monday, super quick delivery. I am happy with this vacuum as it is Bagless and with spare HEPA 12 dust filter and it's washable. I Chose Nilfisk again this time as we had old Nilfisk and works and suction so good, clean my house beautifully, but it was not bagless. I am glad Nilfisk made this new innovation and I don't… Read more
need to worry about extra bags or where to get another dust bags as you cannot buy it everywhere and also it's expensive. You can just tip the accumulated dust in the bin and clean it with warm water and it's ready to go. It comes with all the necessary accessories and it cleans any surfaces beautifully. I'm so happy I bought it and even better in a very good price. Thank You Nilfisk and continue innovating great Vaccum while not over pricing it. So worth it! Why pay so much on overprice Vacuum when you can have this excellent Vacuum. I am not a fan of Cordless as I always run out of battery after 20-30 mins of vacuuming and also it is Extremely over priced Vacuum, it's just ridiculous. Get Nilfisk and sure you will be happy!
Good for an apartment – Small size and light. Adjustable suction strength comes in handy, on the highest setting the suction is very good. Effective for cat hair on carpet. The cord is short and retractable. I was able to use 4 times in a 2 bedroom apartment before needing to empty, which is easy enough, and I did not experience any loss of suction. I am happy with this product, it does the job and was affordable. Show details
Quite impressed! – We have tried and paid a lot for vacuum cleaners, but this one is impressively good for its price. It has great suction. It was affordable for us, even i can say it was cheap. Few downsides of it are, it gets blocked quite quickly and cable length is very short. Highly recommended! Show details

had problems with the unit until noticed yet 3 filter so cleaned that goes better now – Not very mucblocked h information on design as after looking at for some time noticed yet a 3rd filter that was blocked due to small pieces of paper blocking filter so cleaned it . Seems to work a little better nogh would be nice w was only a and used twice . A better description of design would be nice . With pictures . Show details
waste of money – I hate this vacuum and don't want to use it. I bought a carpet sweeper and it cleans the carpets better than the nilfisk. I spend 2 minutes vacuuming and 5-10mins trying to clean the tablespoon of dust from it. Would never buy Nilfisk again Show details
Worse Vacuum ever purchased – This is a very disappointing vacuum. From purchase it doesn't always switch on and you need to hold the button down for a long time until eventually it does. It lost it's suction very early despite all efforts to continually clean the filters etc. Today it stopped altogether after what seemed an overheating. Won't be purchasing another Nilfisk. Really Disappointed - by the time I have emptied the bagless bit I am covered in dust head to toe – My last Nilfisk was fantastic so I was sticking with the brand - but this vacuum is not good and I am waiting for it to die so I can get a better one. When it is empty it is a good vac (does the job) as long as you don't have to go too far, the cord is way to short maybe only 5m - another 2 mtrs and it would have been fine. The real problem is… Read more
the bagless set up (my last nilfisk had a bag) It is full way to quickly, I usually empty mid vac and the worst thing is it has 4 sections/components to clean - by the time I have finished at the outside bin (no way you can empty inside) I am completely covered from head to toe in dust - this does not work well with my hay fever. So hurry up and die so I can get a better one!!!
Needs improvements in design – The original turbo head supplied with this cleaner was hopeless. It kept clogging, several times each use, and was difficult to clean. I replaced it with a normal head without the huge brush that the turbo head had, and it is much better. Also I had to take the gizmo half way up the hose off, as it was inhibiting easy use. Great quality, sturdy but easy to manouvre – Does the trick, easy to manouvre around the house, variable sucking power for all situations, received this as a house warming gift and have not swept a floor since. The only con for this product has been it is a little annoying to empty but other than that, happy cleaning! Show details
Not the best but ok – Power is ok Suction is ok Cord length is short Bagless is ok but you need to clean the filters regularly. If you dont you will notice a drop in suction. Don't think I would honestly recommend as there are much better vacuums out there. Its ok for a small place like an apartment. I would say it becomes more annoying to use on a larger home. Love my Vacuum!! – This is one of the best vacuums I have ever had! After going through almost one vacuum essentially every year due to breaking or motor burn out, we found this little beauty at Harvey Norman. It's great on tiles, carpets and comes with lots of attachments, e.g, floor heads and 3 different nozzles. I have never had to have the suction on full as it… Read more
is very powerful. One of the attachments is designed for lounges and is a small turbo brush and saves lots of time instead of using the small nozzle. Our house is quite large and I vacuum at least 3 time a week.
I empty the dust canister once a week and have never had any issues with the suction. Also offered a two year warranty. Great price and machine. Cannot fault.
Absolutley completely totaly useless – I made the grave mistake of buying this hopelss piece of crap. I thought buying a bagless vacuum cleaner might be a smart move. But it wasn't. Fine for the first month or so, but won't get through a house without the bag needing clearing and the machine overloading to some stupid valve. I will never ever buy a Nilfisk item ever again. BLoody… Read more
frustrating, and the only thing that saved it getting smashed on the concrete path was that Godfreys offered me $60 for a tradein on something that actually does what it was designed for.
Practically Useless – Virtually no suction. Is collecting fine dust as I have to empty it regularly, but will not pick up even the smallest pieces of fluff. Reasonably light, easy to maneuver but what's the point when it doesn't do the job it's meant to do. Have cleaned everything including the the cylinder that comes out of the dust collector.
Who Designed this terrible machine? – Oh Dear - How we wish that we had read these reviews before we bought our Nilfisk Meteor. We have a medium-sized house, and can barely get one full clean without having to remove and clean the filters. Removing the cyclone can be a pain, but also has to be done very frequently It is obvious that the whole filter system is far too small. In… Read more
sheer frustration we have given up on ours after just a few months. We have now found the parts needed to repair our old machine (not a Nilfisk) at at reasonable price and have put it back into service.
Junk loan vacuum from Harvey Norman – Glad a did not pay to use this piece of junk. Totally agree with the other reviews, glad I did not pay for it and that it is going back. Also don't buy an LG the worst service people to deal with ever. Miele next time or Dyson. . .
It does work – Purchased Meteor in October 2015, no problems with suction until last few weeks, cleaned all filters, could not see what the problem was. Took it to retail store, explained that there was no suction, sales person tried out cleaner and agreed. Then promptly removed cyclone filter WHICH IS NOT MENTIONED IN MANUAL, it contained two years worth of… Read more
rubbish and dust, gave it good clean replaced it in cleaner, which is now functioning as it was when first purchased. Go on line to look at manual and you will see No 8 Cyclone filter, remove same and problem solved.
Not worth the bother – I had trouble with this vacuum from the beginning. It blocks very easily and hard to unblock. Loses suction easily. I had to keep a plastic tube to unblock. User manual was very poor. Filter needed cleaning after every use. When it finally blew up, after approximately 3 years, I was happy and have replaced it with a Dyson. This wasn't the… Read more
cheapest of cleaners. I think I paid just under $300 and it was on sale. Not recommended. I have had a Volta that I paid $80 and it is so much better than the Nilfisk.
Nilkfisk Meteor heap of junk – I totally hate my Nilfisk Meteor vacuum cleaner and it would have to be the worst vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. Can't believe how quickly it blocks out and then loses suction. It is a mongrel to clean the filter container. I hate it so much that I can't even resel it because I wouldn't inflict this heap of junk on anyone. I will NEVER buy a… Read more
Nilfisk product ever again and have just vacuumed my house with another brand that was a delight to use. I am GIVING the Nilfisk to my friend's son and have warned him what to expect, but he won't have lost anything because I am giving it to him. I predict it will end up on the junkheap because that's what it is just a heap of junk.
Biggest Heap of Junk EVER!! – Got this vacuum cleaner using Fly Buys - Just JUNK! Within five minutes of getting it home had to glue the hose back into the handle. Filter constantly blocks and loses suction. You have to wash the filter after every use. The container keeps getting stuck when you try and remove it. DO NOT BUY this vacuum cleaner!!

Worst Vacuum cleaner!!! – This is the WORST vacuum cleaner ever. DON'T waste your money on this machine!! It looses suction quickly after I start to vacuum and blocks up easily, I clean the filter, container atleast 6 times while trying to vacuum my medium size house. Horrible, horrible machine! I will never reccomend this to anyone and feel annoyed that I used my fly buys points on this hunk of crap!
Terrible – This is a horrible vacuum cleaner. Blocks up 3 times to vacuum our medium size house. Each time it blocks up, the suction drops so much it won't pick up a paper clip off a tiled floor (I tested this). Then, it needs a thorough clean out. It can be very time consuming to clean all the bits, it is NOT just a simple case of emptying a container. … Read more
There is a filter with two parts that have to be cleaned separately, and a plastic filter that has to be pulled out and is extremely difficult to clean, mainly because any hair gets tangled in it. Worst of all it trips our safety switch when it heats up. It is like an unpredictable child. The suction is only average even when it does work, and for the same price I could have bought 3 Kmart vacuum cleaners, that work so much better. Now "good guys" are doing the usual "we will have to send it away for service......etc etc etc......" (At least 2 return trips to the store and 1 week without a vacuum) They won't just swap it on my word, even though it is dangerous, and if they can't find the tripping fault (which is intermittent) they will return it to me and we will be back to square one. I can't recommend a decent vacuum cleaner as I am still wrestling with this one. I think I might just take it to the trash and treasure, as it has caused me so much stress, I don't want to deal with it anymore. It is a curse !!!!! Nothing Unreliable, Poor design, possibly dangerous, difficult to clean, frustrating and EXPENSIVE.
Great to start but impossible to keep running, throw it out – We have had our meteor for a year now and our floors have never been dirtier, its not that it doesn't work because when it works, its great, but it clogs so much that it gets left in the cupboard for another day. It makes a mountain out of the simple task of vacuuming when you have to unclog it every time you clean the house. We have decided we… Read more
will not buy the replacement filters for it, we have bought an air compressor, we soak the filters overnight, blast them with the air compressor while wet and rinse them again under fast running water, seem to get them clean, hope that helps someone.
Extremely Disapointed - Don't touch Nilfisk products – This vacuum cleaner lost suction after 3 months of purchase and the red light was continuously on. I Always cleaned and washed the filter after each use. Mind you I only have timber floors in my house and no carpet. Firstly I contacted Nilfisk to inform them of this problem and they advised me the vacuum needs to be sent to an electrical… Read more
repairer which they use and which I did so.
After a week I heard from the repairer and he said I need to pay for a new filter and labour cost which came to a total of $102 and this is not including transportation fee. Nilfisk advised that I should pay for this and that it is not covered under warranty. What an absolute joke!!!!!!!!
I told them to keep the vacuum and I'll put the money towards another vacuum cleaner which won't be a nilfisk.
So disappointed when I always cleaned and washed the filter. Would have been cheaper for me to hire one. That I don't own it Bad warranty service
Very disappointed – I am extremely disappointed in this vacuum....seems to continuously get clogs and lose suction..have to constantly unplug hose to clear it..seems to clog with anything larger than dust. I am diligent about cleaning it.. I have had other nil disks and they have been quite efficient but this one is hopeless...... Inefficient
good but – works well - in fact it was so good had to keep emptying bag & filter - hadn't realized how bad the old vac was After a week it ran out of suck - mtd bag etc still no good so had a real good look & discover the cyclone was clogged up - pulled this bit out ,cleaned it up & all was good good suck (when cyclone cleaned!) not mentioned in user manual about removing & cleaning the cyclone!! very important!!
Great value for money – This is an honest review not a plant product sales. Love the hard for nozzle, it is a bit smaller than others but is great for getting under sofas a behind tight areas. Suction is great on carpets and standard or turbo head is good for getting up dog hair. I had an expensive Wertheim with power head which was good but to many moving parts on wand… Read more
and everything broke. Only 5 years old and can't replace anything. Price, it's light weight. Powerful and simple want. No big handle which makes it easy for cleaning the car. I can't fault it for value. I use it carefully and don't bash it about. I always clean out after use.
Great – Purchased it today. Just finished the whole house. The turbo brush and suction of this vacuum is awesome. The Dust Bin was full after the whole house but only because the old vacuum was [censored word removed] and left so much dirt and dust behind. This one cleaned everything great. It has heaps of attachments including a small turbo brush for the… Read more
car and hard floor attachment or the old faithful combo.
Nice and quiet. Does a great job and has everything the more expensive models include.
Just empty the dust compartment after every use. Suction and attachments
Extremely Unhappy – Dust filter clogs up; then motor overheats & "pops". How hard can it be to have a warning light or have the motor switch off before it dies ?? Yes and its just too bad this isn't covered by warranty !! Throw it away... Agree it was a bit cumbersome to use - thought not unacceptably so. Good set of attachments but they do fall off! Yes its a bit heavy and not the easiest to move around.
There is a warning light, possibly ignored? check Operators Manual when all else fails!
Very happy – I bought this vacuum cleaner the other day and have used it a few times, I highly recommend it to anyone considering getting one of these.Good value for money, it has amazing suction power and extremely easy to use. I am very pleased with this product, easy to empty the dust bag too. Comes with extra nozzles, stylish, easy to use I found I had to vacuum over the same spot a few times to get pet hair out if the carpet Show reply
disappointed – Just picked up my new vac today and was very excited after the demo i received, only to get home and be disappointed. I had only done the hallway and i had to clean the dust compartment, then i 1 minute into cleaning the lounge room i lost suction, now i had to clean the filter. For $300.00 i expected better. Should have done my homework... Never again! cleaning out the dust compartment and filter far tooo often
A good buy – I have only used this vacuum once so far but my experience with it is the opposite to the previous two posters. This thing has suction so powerful that it was sucking my fitted carpet off the floor at times so I had to turn the motor down. The turbo spinning brush head is great at getting that trodden in grit off the floor and does wonders… Read more
getting my most of my dogs dried muddy footprints off my hard floors. The mini turbo head isn't so good at getting the sofa cushions free of dog hair but the standard upholstery head is pretty good. I think most of the time though I will be using the standard soft and hard floor heads as the turbo one seems good for the occasional more thorough clean. All in all I am pleased with my buy Big choice of included heads, strong suction, bagless Mini turbo head not so good
hope you like painting – the worst part of this vacume is it destroys all the door frames and wall corners, there is parts on the side of the vacume that jut out tearing the paint off and leaving dints and gouges in the wall, The sucktion is O.K not the best, and the filter system is terrible, messy and you have to wash it every time you vacume. There would be better vacumes out there.
