This company is terrible. Their customer service is awful. I canceled my subscription just minutes after signing up. I have proof showing exactly when I signed up and when I canceled. Even with that proof, they still charged me and refuse to give me my money back. I emailed them multiple times and got no real response. They are not following their own cancellation policy. Save yourself the frustration and stay away.
Just another app disclaiming it is not medical advice but basically giving medical advice. This stuff is junk not science or medicine. You’re interacting with yet another unnecessary middleman that is just peddling AI junk and canned, generic materials. You don’t need a coach for this. Furthermore Noom is collecting data on you. policy on data sharing. It’s scary. In short, you can read a book and get the same information without giving up personal health and potentially medical information that eventually inevitably will be involved in a security breach.
Overcharged twice, cancelled and got a refund Also another time I cancelled before deadline but still got charged Feels like a money grabbing scam Not happy wouldn't recommend

I have not used the noom app and not subscribed. I signed in for a look in 2021. I found in February 2025, this year 3 years of subscribtions has been deducted from my acount. After a lot of emails and digging arounf to phone someone directly, I was refunded. I though the issue was over until this week, when again another subscribtion was taken… Read more
from my account. This time, no phone numbers are available to contact management directly and the same response of, we cant find your account so can not refund is sent to me in response to the request to refund. Im up to 10 emails so far for funds to be returned.
Overccharging – BEWARE. Got stung with over $250 charges for not cancelling the free trial in time. The APP was too nick effort for me and the easy they tricked me into the extra subscription charges must be how they make money.
A really disappointing experience – Today is day 1. I will write a couple of reviews over time if the trial improves. After 2 hours of survey questions and personal health and psychosocial data entry I was hoping the App would provide me a food logging section. It has an exercise, water consumption, weight and blood pressure section. But no way to track calories. Advertising… Read more
refers to the food logger. Recipes and Foodie are not the tracker. See the photo attached. So that was really disappointing and frustrating after all the time spent. I also have a new email address, unused for a month or so, and Noom was the first time I had given this email address to anyone. Within hours I had a dozen advertisers from book sales to dating sites. Not happy. An email sent to me said they wavered the$26.14 trial fee. But the next email was a receipt for the Paypal transaction. When I asked the App support section about the location of the food tracker, the Bots sent me a URL to cancel the subscription. Made me think my question Wass a thing. Let's see how this plays-out.
IT'S A SCAM!! NO REAL COACHES JUST COMPUTERS – Not only do you not get your own personal trainer. They won't release you from the free trial period unless you pay a previously undisclosed cancellation fee. I had to argue with them and threaten to go to my bank and ACCC as they changed their minds and instead claimed that it was not a cancellation fee but s bet I had put on myself to make it… Read more
to January with the website. It was presented as a theoretical bet. At no point did I agree to gamble, furthermore they have no gambling licence in Australia. Because they couldn't prove that I had agreed to either a cancellation fee, nor that the bet was an actual financial transaction, they finally release me from their awful program which by the way is just computer system you won't get a personal trainer it's just a computer.
Got scammed out of $219.08 – I was paying for monthly pay which was cheap n this month they took all my money. Im so upset n mad. Somebody should sue their stupid company rn.
Positive reviews
I have been using Noom for a bit over two years and I am ready to move on without it. It has kept me focused and on track and over that time I have lost 30kilos. Highly recommend to use to change habits and mind sets. It’s forgiving, supportive and offers great tips.
So far so good! I didn’t see all the negative reviews before I signed up and I am glad I didn’t. I love the details from the bodyscan to the daily lessons tailored to your interests/requirements( in my case it was menopause and aging topics) At the beginning I wasn’t too sure about weighing in every day but now look forward to it even if the… Read more
scales sometimes move in the wrong direction. At least I am accountable and always try to make it up the next day. Paying full price wouldn’t have been an option for me but I got a discounted rate, which does make the app sort of affordable.
Expensive but effective weight loss tool – Positives. Forces accountability through meal logging and daily weigh ins. What you measure is what you get, so this alone is likely to help people lose weight. Some good motivational information plus dieting tips like drinking water regularly. App functionality is deep and pretty slick overall - very good user experience. Realistic… Read more
treatment of exercise (helpful but not the main game) vs calorie restriction.
Negatives. Expensive but probably worth it if you lose weight. Somewhat simplistic food categorisation based mainly on calories/gram rather than more sophisticated measures of satiety.(eg macronutrient composition).

Noom illegally took four payments from my account. I did not have a subscription at the time. When challenged about this they refunded two payments. This is great. The earlier payments in may 2025 they said they did not have a record of. I have a record of the payments on my bank statements and paypal records. Either; 1. Their accounting standards… Read more
don’t met legislative requirements or 2. They hope that you dont notice the illegal deductions.Either way is not acceptable. My next step is to report them with supporting evidence to Scamwatch and the ACCC. Don’t deal with them.

Glorified weight tracking... but worse... if your subscription ends, even if you have spent hundreds of dollars, you cant even see your weight tracking. you cant access ANYTHING. they punish people who paid for the app if they let their subscription laps. Total scam. Use just about any other app. Extremely... EXTREMELY overpriced for what services it provides.
Metformin is not approved by the FDA for weight loss. When you complain that you are not losing weight, they say there are other ways to measure your success. If that is true, why do they encourage you to weigh in everyday? I purposely did not record ANYTHING in their app for more than 7 days; yet, I received 2 treat days (these are days where you can eat whatever you want to). How is this even possible? Save your money!

So when I signed up i was offered a $79 deal for bells and whistles. I’m not going to say I didn’t achieve weight loss BUT they also charged a few hundred dollars for a basic subscription which wasn’t clear from the outset only when it appeared on my bank statement. I cancelled my subscription for this reason because it wasn’t honest. I paid… Read more
for a coach and NOT ONCE did my coach contact me $79 down the drain thanks Noom.
Now at the end of my subscription the virtual assistant had said i would be able to retain food and weight logging. BUT no I’ve lost all my information (apparently a new change to their system).
Again very dishonest. If I’d know I’d have at least screen shot some important information like weight loss. Now all my good work is gone and Nooms response was it happens when you don’t resubscribe which is not at all a handy response
Lastly when I made enquiries they wiped all my data including the data that was still usable with the free scan feature
The app was okay but didn’t help me. I cancelled it. They charged me again and again. So angry, feel robbed. Had to cancel my debit card to stop them. Biggest waste of money, don’t go there.
Cancelled subscription and ceased getting emails from then only to find that they had continued to take funds out of my account. When queried a generic “all renewals and non refundable” email was received. Overpriced and predatory automating subscriptions. They should be given a wide berth.
I just found out that my teenage daughter was one of the people being scammed. She tried the free trial and then cancelled. It never cancelled and we have been charged $1049 over the past year for something she did not use and cancelled. I have submitted the fraudulent charges to my bank. They will follow up and fix this. How this company exists is unreal. FRAUD!!! Absolute fraud! Very sad!
Warning, They keep charging you – I only used noom for 1 year in 2020 after that I didn't renew my subscription and I unsubscribed. I remember that I choose non automatic renewal option. I received multiple notifications from noom that my subscription has expired and I need to activate it which intentionally I did not do that. I deleted the app as well. Since 2021 I have not been… Read more
in noom website, I deleted the app as well. I just noticed that noom without my authorization has been charging my credit card $ 199 every year. I request full refund of all unauthorized charges on my credit card but they refused to return the money. Noom just charged me last week, they said they will cancel my subscription after 12 months from now. I catch them with their hand in my pocket but still they refuse to let go of the money they took for the future unauthorized subscription. I was not on autorenewal at any time for that first year.
Buyer beware – I was exploring programs to assist in weight loss. It looks like I joined a free trial in late December and didn't realise that I was on the hook for expensive renewals. I didn't use the program and without Noom but with intermittent fasting and exercise l lost 10 kgs in 6 weeks and am still happy 10 months later at 80 not 90kgs. I just realised that Noom has been charging me full clip for 10 months - I cancelled immediately. Buyer beware.
A fast way to lose money – I signed up to Noom, their free trial. I then had been in and out of hospital, and completely forgot about it, it wasn't until I checked my Bank account that I realised they were taking money out .I sent an email to cancel ,and they're are still charging me, and I might add I ve been too sick to even try it. So Noom please cancel my account with you and please refund my money.

Noom are ripping me off – I signed on to trial Noom but realised that day it was incompatible with my device s such I wanted to decline the sign on and resgn from the program . As it’s a free trial this should have been refunded immediately. At the moment my requests have been ignored and further charge made for no service . This is fraudulent and not the way to run a… Read more
business . They owe me well over $200 this far with no service recieved of course as I cannot access it . Hopefully Noom see this . I am beyond angry . Why have you failed to sort this !! dunns2009@hotmail.comu
A wast of my time filling out your long questionnaire – I was just about to sign up when I read the reviews. Boy was I disapointed! 79% Bad reviews, what happened to this company? Seemed like such a good idea, turned into greed.with only 15 excellent reviews 198 one star complaints about being ripped off. I really can't believe this is Australia's number 1 choice in wieght loos plans. UNSUSCRIBE!
Do not change phone operating systems with noom, as you will break it – The app and program was good when I could access it. I had to change my phone during my subscription from Android to Apple. This is when the problem started. Noom is not compatible across phone platforms. eg Once you subscribe it appears you are locked into the phone operating system platform and cannot move device/operating systems. 3 Months… Read more
of back and forwards with help did nothing, other than the standard, turn off at the power, bull dust. Then customer service when dark when I requested a credit/refund when they could not resolve. After 3 months of back and forwards, I have reached my end.
Customer service is only on the positive/sale end of the transaction. If you have trouble, you get lots of support, but not alot of resolution. very unhappy.
The website also whilst, gives you access to a website and account, is not the app and does not have the functionality and noom functionality on the web. Therefore if you have trouble with the app, you are completely locked out and have no web backup.
The app is find, when it works, if it doesnt you will be in a world of pain.
Did not work – I did Noom for a year. The app activities and psychology readings are excellent for keeping you engaged with the program and polishing healthy eating habits I was very good and followed the program. The main problem I had was it just did not work. Within 2 months it was clear I was not losing weight on the plan at all, probably due to dieting… Read more
previously. I had to lower my calorie target to see any weight loss. My weight loss was always substantially less than the Noom projections. As the 12 month mark approached I had lost 10 kg (94-84kg) but it was clear I would NEVER reach my weight loss target (70 kg). There is a plateau and then there is just an an asymptote.
Initially there was individual support by a person but the turnover was huge, like weekly, expertise was suspect but well meaning. A real person. Then they shifted towards community support (user forums) and support teams. Basically the individual support vanished so I carried on alone.
Towards the end of 12 months I was very discouraged by the total lack of progress and it was affecting my motivation to remain engaged with the program. I sought specific support and was sent a bunch of generic web links to information by the so called support team. I read them all. They were not helpful to my specific issues. I unsubscribed.
I regained the 10 kg and more within a couple of months despite retaining most good habits. Salad is now a major part of my diet, I eat almost exclusively whole foods and I routinely practice intermittent fasting. But I no longer believe it is possible for me to lose the weight I want to lose through healthy eating and recommended calorie control.
Don't waste your time! – They overwhelm you with questions, you will spend 20 minutes answering questions and then they will demand money, they literally state, "don't let money stand in your way"... then prompt you to start paying. Absolutely a waste of time.
Absolute Thieves – I cancelled my membership and they kept taking money. They did not give it back. They also trick you into what you are signing up to. If you sign up for a 3 month plan. It’s not 3 months. They just keep taking money even after you cancel. You basically have to cancel twice. I only discovered this after I went back through my credit card statements.
Beware – I signed up for a 14 day trial, intending to cancel before the trial ended. Was supposed to be able to do it easily on the app but the app never registered my subscription, therefore there wasn't a cancel button. So I went the chat route (bot and human) which was entirely confusing. They couldn't understand that I did not have an option to cancel… Read more
in the app or when I logged on to the website. They just kept telling me to change my password and try again. I did that once, to no avail. One bot/human finally told me that they had ordered a cancellation at the end of the trial period but apart from a chat message screenshot, how can I prove it when the subscription details won't show in the app? Next week I will find out, when and if they try to take money from an empty bank account.
False advertising – Watching the ads on TV they show a before and after shot of someone who lost 15kg. It is obviously apparent that the woman had lost much much more than 15kg. Therefore I believe that if they have to be deceitful in their ads, they are just dishonest all round. Even trying to find reviews was challenging. Wouldn't touch them if my life depended on it.
