Also ABC's the Checkout did an article recently showing that all the different types of "Targeted" Neurofen for things like "Back pain" and "Period pain" are simply just Iburofen in different packets and higher price tags.

You need to look on the box at what it contains....

Ibuprofen 200mg, codine 12.8mg per tablet for Neurofen Plus and just Ibuprofen 200mg for normal Neurofen The Chemist brands are all the same but cheaper and from what one Chemist told me... Australian made.

Warning about these products. They all are hard on your stomach so take them with food but more importantly they will cause serious kidney damage if used extensively. Thats why you get asked alot of questions when you buy it. They should just tell you what it can do if you use lots of it. Excellent – I dont know where I would be without Nurofen Plus. It has greatly helped me with my Migraines. have a little nap after taking them. This is a good pain killer for strong pain. I use this for migraines, of which I get quite often. As soon as I feel a migraine I take two Nurofen Plus and it goes away, however you must ensure you have it with food. If you take the pills without food you can get extremely dizzy and vomit. This product has Codine in it and you MUST have food. The first time I took these pills my face felt like it had swollen to twice its size and I got extremely hot. However this was about 4 years ago and have never experienced this again. On taking these pills I suggest having a little nap/sleep for half an hour or hour and you will feel really well after. Codine does make you feel sleepy and the instructions on the packaging suggest that you do not drive or work heavy machinery when you take these pills.

Good – A good medication, taken as indicated, for only short term use only. But please ask the pharmacist for full product details and how to use safely. This is so that any contra-indications regarding medications are alerted to. After all, it is your overall health that's paramount! Taken as RECOMMENDED, Nurofen Plus is a safe alternative to aspirin or paracetamol - for those people with known sensitivities.

However, too many people aren't fully explained that this medication has, as it's main ingredient an NSAID. NSAID medications have serious side effects. Many people I know DON'T realise that by taking this medication plus another NSAID eg: Voltaren (another "Over-the-counter" medication)they are combining TWO anti-inflammatory medications together. Gastrointestinal issues including bleeding gut, ulceration and other major ramifications may ensue!

ago Nurofen plus at the chemist in a large box for the family approx 90. Then they changed the size of the box to 32 or less. I only purchase a box only when needed. Now to purchase only over the pharmacy counter only with the 3rd degree. So many questions I am getting annoyed with the same questions. Today I went to purchase a box of 30 only to be asked for my ID driving licence. I could not believe it. I was told it is because it contains codeine. Excellent – When I have a migraine, only Neurofen plus will get rid of it for me. I have frequent migraines and always have to make sure I have in on hand in case of emergencies. relief to head pain and is also good for stiff joints or other muscle pain that are not too severe. Reasonably affordable, available in large packs, good for headaches and muscle pain. Not as good for really bad pains.

OK – I suffer from headache for about 30 years and this pills helped me for about 1 week and after the headache just came back stronger, I don't really know if I recommend it, I still prefer Panadol fast and effective after 5 hours the headache comes back again

definitely did. I took some panadol osteo which usually works very well for tooth pain for me but it didn't do anything so went and got some nurofen plus. I took it about an hour ago and finally have extreme relief. The pain is still there but more annoying than agonizing. Will definitely be using this again in times of need.

expensive), so to save money I recommend the cheaper generic version, Panafen Plus. Effective and fast acting. Can be expensive (I would certainly recommend the generic alternatives as they are equally effective). Tough restrictions on codeine now so only available over the counter (and the pharmacist will ask you a lot of questions before selling it to you).

counter pain relief that helps when I get a migraine. Can make you a bit drowsy and clouded. Can't take it when you are pregnant. Have heard it can cause consitpation.

Nurofen is a good pain relief medicine that does seem to work quite well for more severe headaches and muscle pain. The tablets don't taste too nice. No other cons to report.

While it is an effective pain killer, it should only be for short term use, as the ibuprofen can cause kidney problems and stomach ulcers and in the worst case cause bleeding in the stomach if it is being overused. when i initally started taking them as i couldnt get comfortable with my back pain. They are a great tablet to have for any aches and pains that need relieving quickly. Work fast and last for hours. Bit expensive.

Good – I use these mainly for the pain of "womens problems". lol They work really well and are fast acting. I find for those times of the month I need something stronger than paracetemol and these are just the remedy. Not exactly cheap but definitely worth it for stronger pains. as I said it can be a bit expensive so I go to the Warehouse Chemist and it is a lot cheaper. That Nurofen Plus really works and that in itself is a plus. Like all medicines it is a bit expensive, so don't get too many headaches.

Excellent – I find this product never fails to relieve me completely of discomfort. I now totally overlook panadol which just doesn't seem to be as effective. Just remember to eat first. This is fast acting and works well to completely take away my tension headaches You need to eat before you can take it and sometimes my headaches are so severe, eating is the last thing I feel like doing.
