I had a great experience. They came quickly to fix a gas leaking at my place and did an excellent job. Very professional, efficient, and friendly. The problem was solved perfectly, and I really appreciate their reliable service. Highly recommend! Show reply
Very glad that I called O'Shea Plumbing who are my Go To Guys for all things plumbing. I was incredibly happy with Duncan who diagnosed my ducted heating and my water heater which both sporadically were failing. He recommended servicing each which he completed together a few days later. He completed both within 3 hours and we are back up and running!!! Communication was great. Thankyou O'Shea's Plumbing. We recently engaged the services of O’Shea Plumbing for a complex sewer and drain issue, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. Upon responding to my initial email enquiry, Steve, the company director, dedicated several hours of his time when he personally came over to assess our situation in detail. house is situated on quite reactive soil, and I wanted a new solution involving in ground swivel and expansion joints to help mitigate future sewer line issues due to ground movement. While other plumbers I had reached out prior weren’t responsive to the idea, Steve had the experience, knowledge, and willingness to implement the ideal engineering fix to our situation and gave us complete confidence in moving forward. It was clear from the outset that Steve was committed to delivering thoughtful, thorough, and long-lasting solution. While any work of this nature would require a major investment, the costing was actually very competitive, and Steve was accommodating to help us undertake the project within our budget.
To the plumbers tasked with delivering the outcome, Christian and Marcus arrived promptly each day and conducted themselves with the utmost professionalism. They worked efficiently and with great care, ensuring each stage was completed to the highest standard. The boys worked tirelessly in very challenging conditions, from excavating almost 3 metres deep to replace our boundary trap, to spending several days under our house in tight and dusty conditions building a brand-new drainage system for the entire house. Throughout the process, they were respectful of our property, always friendly with our two young and very inquisitive boys and kept us informed every step of the way with lots of photos of the work as it progressed. A very big and sincere thank you to both Marcus and Christian, as well as Mickey helping on site and Mark in the office for promptly communicating with me throughout the process.
The combination of Steve’s expert guidance and the skilled execution by Christian and Marcus made what could have been a very stressful situation feel entirely manageable. While this project is now complete, I’m happy to have found O’Shea plumbing to help with us with ongoing works as part of our house renovations.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their team to anyone seeking reliable, honest, and high-quality plumbing services.
Excellent service plus initiative – I needed a roof plumber to help Manse Group’s building inspector lift the roof to take photos and report on the many defects in the house that Peet/JTP Homes/YHB Group built and sold to me. It was REALLY HARD to find anyone willing to provide this service. REALLY HARD. But O’Shea stepped up. Also, O’Shea Plumbing complied with OH&S regulations… Read more · 1
so they organised a cherry picker to get themselves and the Manse Group guy onto the roof. (Failure to comply with OH&S can get you into trouble with WorkSafe Victoria and, in the event of an accident, can screw up your insurance. I am 100% a fan of following the rules.)
On the morning of the building inspection, O’Shea’s guys arrived early. They knew they were only there to help the Manse Group guy but they took initiative, for which I am DEEPLY FOREVER GRATEFUL.
They pointed out that the “spreader”, a plumbing feature on my ground floor roof, was installed in a way that made it likely that we would get water running down the inside of an external wall. They explained what needed to be done to fix this and why the existing set up was defective.
Then they got on the roof, helped the Manse guy, and sealed up the roof again.
While they were on the first floor roof they also put a gizmo on the roof capping on the south edge of the roof. This gizmo measured the slope of the roof, which was defective. Instead of the capping directing water into the drains, it allowed water to stream down outside my kitchen window whenever dew was heavy or it rained. Because of their initiative, a defect we knew existed in theory was explained. They then wrote a simple report describing what was needed to fix the roof, because the builder was still liable under the defects warranty period.
Because of O’Shea and their pro-active assistance, when the builder tried to make the roof worse (via a scope of work that he sent in email) and refused to fix the roof properly, we managed to hold our ground and demand the roof be fixed properly.
Without O’Shea’s help the builder may well have got away with cheap temporary solutions. I had the impression that, at one stage, the construction manager intended to just run a line of silicone along the edge of the roof to stop the water flowing outside our kitchen window until after the defects period. (I could be wrong but that’s consistent with their statements in a long history of emails.)
O’Shea Plumbing totally rocks. (Although their report writing skills could do with a teeny bit of polish, their ability to explain things verbally to my husband and I saved us several thousand dollars in rectification work later.)
Exorbitant material pricing, near 10x market rate – I was charged $4300 for a 50L Rheem electric hot water heater. A quick Google search shows me that it costs around $540 and approximately $1200 including installation. Does it cost that much because it includes the installation? I don't think so; I had to pay an extra $600 for that. I agree with other reviewers and cannot complain about how… Read more
polite everyone was, from the plumbers to the electricians and receptionists.
However, I still can't shake the feeling that I was ripped off.
I had to call O'Shea Plumbing on a Saturday around 10 PM as my old electric hot water tank was leaking and soaking the apartment's carpet. Nobody replied, but they called me back on Sunday morning, and shortly after that, the plumber was knocking on my door. It was a relief.
The plumber quickly saw the water on the floor and declared that the hot water tank needed replacement. The eye-watering quote was produced, and a tap service that I also needed was included for free.
I felt powerless and unable to refuse the quote. If I refused, I would have had to pay the call-out fee of $180 and then try to find another plumber on a Sunday, while the carpet in the apartment was getting increasingly soaked.
To my surprise, the plumber was starting to leave, arguing that someone else would come on Monday to install the new tank as he didn't have one with him.
So I had to remind him that the reason for calling a plumber on a weekend was because I had an emergency that needed to be resolved ASAP, and could he please help me stop the flow of water.
The next day, the new water tank was installed. In the words of the plumber to the electrician, it took around 30 minutes.
He left and forgot about the tap service that was offered. I had to call back to get it done.
Then I had to call back another three times to get minor things rectified.
I would have been happy to pay what's fair, the $600 for labor sounds like the norm but it doesn't feel right having to pay almost ten times the market price for materials.

Kris came to do a plumbing check and then quoted for needed work. Called to let us know when he was about to arrive. Check seemed thorough. Good explanation of what needed to be done. Friendly. Have used O'Shea Plumbing a number of times, and have been very happy with the team. Show reply
Plumbers come and go but O'Shea's are here to stay. We opted for the 'sweet smelling toilet experience' and the competent and efficient service was beyond reproach. Their employee Kris reset the bowl in a new rubber seal like a bird in a nest. Now our bathroom is coming up roses every morning. Their pricing is firm but fair. Show reply

Quoted me $800+ to $900+ to replace a tap spindle, which took another plumber less than 10 mins and cost a hell of a lot less. My advice would be to look elsewhere. a deliberate attempt to rip off an older person. Now they keep ending me emails to click to accept their quote.

Had a quote for a storm water drain cleaning.had a plumber come out to attempt to clear it. They did disclose that it was a attempt and may not clear the drain which is understandable. So went ahead for them to try after trying for 10 min. Came to conclusion There was too much silt in the pipe it was useless to continue with the water jet. Charged… Read more
me about $800 for the attempt and came back another day to quote me to re route the pipe digging up the ground as well which would of cost 10 grand.
Found another licenced plumber who cleared the drain in half an hour and made sure it wasn't blocked and the pipes were fine.

Get another opinion ..very misleading – Quoted 6.5 G's for a new heater install next to existing unit. They stated it was too expensive to repair the existing Brivis unit. Called Brivis and the drain leak was fixed in 20 minutes. They even serviced the machine. Heater running well .
