So disappointed with this company. Bought grandsons suit over a month ago but has never left the suit bag it came in. My daughter in law went into store to exchange for larger size and was told no exchange needed to buy new one. There is a small tag that they normally place on suit which is not there. All tags and receipts were in tact but still refused to exchange. Will never shop here again !!!!! Show details
When you purchase an item and it is faulty you get a refund from any store. After assisting my daughter and son-in-law on a purchase for an outfit from Ollie’s place Parramatta and finding that my grandson had an allergic reaction to something in the fabric you would expect a refund. blaming my grandson and stating he has a skin condition which he doesn’t have, they were very very rude, racist, and didn’t have any respect for there customers or the children as long as they got the sale, [Name Removed] thinks she is a medical expert stating my grandson has a medical condition which he doesn’t have and what harm would it be to give a refund, but she insists on a credit note, honey if your clothing is faulty or the material is not right why would we want to swap it for something else in your shop. the store back to buy a matching legging for my daughter's dress later on. When I wanted to check the size [Name Removed] really gave me an attitude and yelled at me, insulted me and treated me differently for taking the legging out of the packaging to check the size if it fits my daughter. I explained to her calmly that I wanted to check the size before I buy. But she said that now I have taken out the legging from the packaging that no body would buy, but I said that what is the use to buy and bring it back to return or exchange if the size doesn't fit and moreover I didnt damage any packaging. It was looking nice. And I said I will slid back the legging into the packaging perfectly. I am a regular customer. But she kept scolding me in front of other customers like I have no respect. She raised her eyebrows while raising her voice. When I said I want to complain, she said she is the manager and boss. There is no use to file a complaint. She was very rude, and unprofessional, and treated me differently becoz of my color. She did not offer any contact email or any number to file complaint. This behavior was witnessed by many customers and another team member. I reminded her so many times during the arguments that she should not interact with me disrespectfully. But she kept degrading me.
I explained that there was no sign saying that customers are not allowed to check the legging size by taking out the legging from the packaging. Her behavior was so aggressive. I felt very upset and uncomfortable becoz I am a genuine buyer. I believe in buying right size due to hygiene issue. I dont like to try things and then return it later on. Please check my buying history in your record. She kept saying that no one will buy this legging now. Ultimately, she made me to buy it without checking the size.
This was such a horrible experience. My 5 years old daughter said that she will never go back to that shop again. I will say that you didn't just lost 1 customer you lost many becoz such mangers make people run away due to their unprofessional behavior. I am sure that I was not the first one but you can make sure by taking the action that I m the last one who has been harassed by your staff. Please check store video around 4'O clock to 4:13 pm on 07/03/26. My docket number is 237991. I made two payments the same day another docket number is 237973. I hope that she is reminded that she is answerable to a higher authority in your company for her misbehave, judging and treating customers with disrespect. noticed after taking it home, however I did mention it when I complained about the pearls on the back of the two dresses ripping out the two children’s hair. It caused the girls significant pain and these dresses are not fit for use by children!
It does not meet quality standards. [Name Removed] was dismissive and offered 0 resolution to the matter. See photos of one of the girls dresses below! So awful!
Poor customers service and dodgy sales tactics – Had a terrible experience with Ollie's Place Shop At WATERGARDENS SHOPPING CENTRE, VICTORIA. I was told straight-up there are no REFUNDS / EXCHANGES / CREDIT NOTES for the formal wear. Upon asking why I was mislead at the time of sale and how does it align with the Return Policy conditions stated on the invoice and website, the lady refused to serve me and started serving other customers telling me "We are not going to returning these..!!". Given, I couldn't spent whole day arguing with them, I decided to leave and lodge a formal complaint.
Absolutely appalling – We purchased a dress for my daughter from the Narellan Store to wear to a funeral. Macquarie for the funeral. When my daughter put it on, we noticed a fault in the material and it was ripped at the seam. There was nothing we could do and we went to the funeral. Upon our return, we took the dress back with photos of the fault. At first we were told that the manger wasn’t in the store and we would have to come back in a week! We promptly sent an email to head office that was never replied to. We went back on the day the manager was there. She was out ‘banking’ so we had to wait again. The manager was absolutely rude, snarky and extremely unprofessional. She was yelling and told us that she had watched the cctv footage of the purchase of the dress and there was no fault in the dress at the time of purchase so they won’t do anything about it. She caused my daughter of treading and pulling on the dress to get the tip. As if that wasn’t bad enough….. after that shocking response, I emailed head office again who did write back this time and said they agree with the store. I cannot believe in this day and age their behaviour (especially the store manager who is supposedly the NSW manager) is acceptable. The whole company obviously needs to be reviewed and after reading other people’s reviews, it seems they are telling all of their stores to use the same line when trying to return an item. This has to stop!
Faulty product and bad customer service at the Garden City Store – The printings on the onesie faded after 2washes. after 2 washes so I went back and exchanged for something else. It looks like it is the printing on that particular onesie so I know to avoid similar style in the future. But still love their clothes in general and will continue shopping there.

have some medical condition. This a disgusting response should not be something expected from a kids clothing brand when there is obviously something wrong with the item itself as our kid does not react to Best and Less or any other brand for that matter.
In looking at other reviews there seem to be so many similar complaints. I am going to lodge a formal complaint and hope that other do the same. This is outright appalling especially for a children’s clothing store.

granddaughter as it was her birthday that day. If I didn't want just that one outfit, I wouldn't have bothered going to the DFO outlet to be honest. I don't know if she was a fellow kiwi if she is, she's an embarrassment to any culture from Aotearoa. If she doesn't enjoy the job - leave!!! I had to travel from Waikiki to get to DFO the closet outlets in Rockingham and Baldivis have closed down - for whatever reason I don't know and the Cockburn outlet didn't have the outfit that I wanted and suggested DFO. The customer service at the Rockingham outlet was always friendly hence the reason why I always shopped at this outlet. They need to get rid of the lady with the resting wench face if they want people shopping at this outlet. It didn't deserve the one but, I was feeling generous because I was able to get the one outfit that I wanted for my granddaughter.

Horrible horrible horrible!! The clothing is very outdated and horrible quality. Nothing lasts more than one wash. The employees don’t care what they sell you as long as they make money. The returns policy is a joke.

I think Ollie's place should review their return policy. I had to pay to return unwanted items not knowing that they will deduct shipping fee as well. I ended paying for my daughters dress more than it was worth. I spent $25 just on delivery and return fee. Will never shop online again.
No exchanges on Boxing day?! What a joke – Ollies Place will not do an exchange or refund on Boxing day because they're 'too busy'. Only one other person was in the store with two team members working who were generally tidying not assisting the other customer. Very poor customer service – I’ve been trying to contact them about a faulty product for nearly a month. It started falling apart the first time my son wore it. IMPOSSIBLE TO REFUND FAULTY PRODUCT – LOW SATISFACTION WITH QUALITY OF PRODUCT AND SERVICE. Bought a sleeping bag and within a week the seams started ripping. Went back to store to return item and spoke with the same sales representative who sold us item. She said cannot return “due to state of item” DESPITE WEBSITE SAYING YOU CAN RETURN FAULTY ITEMS. Will never shop there again – Will never shop there again. Went to find a higher TOG winter sleeping bag, they only had max 2.5 and extremely limited range. Bag was overpriced. We bought it and within a few days stitching started to rip on the sleeve. Tried to return it, but could not as store manager was not around, which seems like a bit of an oversight on their part. It’s like they’re trying to design the ugliest clothes possible – If they don’t get with trends soon, they’ll go out of business. Surely the only people shopping there are grandmas. Modern day parents don’t want to spend $20 on hideous clothing! Most things for boys have dinos on them - I saw multiple shirts and overals that would have been nice if left without the dino decal (eg just a striped shirt).

The sizes are insulting. Not quite as awfully insulting as the older woman who served us yesterday tho. Store was well laid out and easy to find styles, sizes, etc. Staff were busy with other customers and still acknowledged me on entry... well done! heard the cashier lady was saying that “oh it makes me anxious when I see people walking out of the store when I’m talking to someone“ to a bunch of people that she had around the cashier. Everyone started looking at my husband when he walked back in with our calmed son. This was the first offensive behaviour from her. Next, she came and stood right by me and was looking at what I was doing. I explicitly asked her “are you imply that we were going to steal these?” for which she came up with a load of excuses as to why she was being “careful” including an incident that happened the week before. I asked her “are you sure that has nothing to do with our skin colour?” and she only smiled!!! I felt like just dropping everything and walking out of the store if my son didn’t insist on those items he picked.
They need to be trained to read the people who walk in before making a judgement. The shoplifters can do what they are doing because the storekeepers are ignorant and don’t know how to identify them, which clearly this cashier person doesn’t know how to do. We ended up getting clothes worth more than $130, and I was still very upset with the whole experience.
We have been customers of Ollie’s place in different locations for years, because of the affordable garments and the choices they have (obviously PRC made, but still…) and this is truly very disheartening.
Thank you for bright colours!! – Just had a boy after two girls. Most boys clothes seem to be soft shades of blue, green, grey or brown. Friendly staff – I visited the plenty valley location of Ollie’s place and the sales person Samantha C was absolutely lovely. My toddler had decided they didn’t want to walk into the store. Samantha went out of her way to talk to them and ask lots of questions and made them walk around the store counting all the dinosaurs they could find in the shop. I was able to shop peacefully. Online order - clothes stunk!!! – I am appalled that my online order of clothes from Ollie’s place smelt incredibly bad!!! Even my own young child commented how “stinky” the clothes were and I didn’t even mention it to her how I felt the same. When she returned she threw my items on the counter and said "no" and walked away. I told her that was very rude and she literally looked me in the eye and walked away. the dress stained, in it's original packaging, taken 2 minutes after receiving it from Australia Post. They refused to offer any remedy as they said it was impossible for their staff member not to have noticed the stain when they checked the package before sending. By this same argument, they will never have to accept a refund or replacement.
Crap shop I ever been – I never seen shop like that in Australia. 1st think there is no number for head office so you can talk. secondly all staff of any shop are very selfish and mean. If you return any item they don’t give you your receipt back so you can’t come back for return any item in that receipt. i have so many issue but just saying don’t go in that shop ever.
