I bought an optimum blend 9400 over ten years ago (around 2014) and make a green smoothie nearly every day. It works just as well as the day I bought it in 2025! It’s amazing! Show details ·  1

My first introduction to quality blending – This was my very first blender, and a number of my friends had competing brands but they paid double the price for theirs. It was great blender to start with, but I left it in the USA, so, once I got back I purchased another one. So, for price, durability, cleaning and general overall use, 10/10. Show details ·  1

Froothie - Outstanding After Sales Service – I purchased my Optimum 9400 from a friend 8 years ago and have enjoyed using it but noticed recently rusty particles was dispersing underneath the jug every time I used the blender. I decided to call the Froothie 0800 number thinking I could take it into a service centre to be repaired. Instead I was told by the lovely sales support person… Read more ·  1

all I needed was to replace the blade assembly and that would fix the problem. So I ordered the part and it arrived with the free tool. It wasn't easy to remove so I made a few additional calls to the Customer Care team spoke with both Athena and Hannah and they were so knowledgeable and helpful and able to give me further advice on what to do. As a result, I now have a fully operational blender and am back into the smoothies. Big shout out to the Froothie team for creating a quality blender, and for providing outstanding after sales service - that is where it counts!

The Optimum 9400 1st Generation is brilliant, we use it daily – We bought our Optimum 9400 blender about 10 years ago. Words cannot describe just exactly how good this blender has been, we use it every single day and it has not faltered once. It has really great power, meaning we can blend almost anything. We use it to make smoothies on a daily basis, to blend up tomato sauce for pastas and mexican, and have… Read more ·  1

even used it to make a range of different nut butters. It's almost as good as having our own commercial blender.

The jug we have replaced once and we have even been able to replace individual parts in the machine and jug which is brilliant. Unfortunately this product is discontinued but I would highly recommend to people to try the newer 9400 models. I have recommended to all my friends and family. The product is fabulous and the service is great too!

Long lasting, Powerful Blender – I have had this blender for aprx 5-6 years now. It only started having some issues at the 5 year mark (last year)-which is pretty good longevity, even if it does mean it may not be under warranty-I'm checking. (which is still upsetting, but really can't complain). It's been used at home only, more during summer. Sometimes daily, sometimes weekly.… Read more ·  2

Can handle anything really- nuts, ice, frozen fruit etc. Which makes it very practical. It IS heavy - so it stays on the bench. I've made ice cream, smoothies, Batters, soup etc. Very Versatile. I've not yet made nut milk or butter...It is a little loud, but it's far enough away from bedrooms so it's not a problem. The jug now appears to be leaking, so I need to replace that- $160 for a new one, which is more than when I last checked. But as the machine was smoking last year, (which may still have been under warranty) I may need to replace the machine too. I was told it may be the blade assembly - so am waiting to hear back what that might cost to fix to see if it's viable. (sent a message & Froothie normally reply promptly) We've moved/changed banks, so trying to find purchase stuff may simply be too difficult. In which case, I need to know options - repair vs replace. So it might need to wait. But at $100/yr so far, it's a pretty good investment. It's a Reliable machine, sturdy & long lasting. Worth it. (and replacement jugs ARE available, which is good)

Has been my FAVOURITE kitchen appliance since I bought it in 2014!! – Five and a half years of daily use and it has been amazing! I originally wanted a Vitamix as I had seen my friend's in action, but the price tag put me off so I did some research and bought this instead. I can't recall what I paid but I believe it was under $300 - way less than my friend's Vitamix cost her! Anyway - smoothies, soups, nut butters,… Read more

almond milk, grinding coffee, crushing ice - nothing has been too hard (must admit I haven't tried grinding stones as I saw someone do in a YouTube video!!!) My only problem now is that I've become totally dependent on it, and it recently stopped working - by the smell I guess the motor has burnt out, and it is out of the 5 year warranty (this is the only reason for the slightly lower rating on build quality - one of my pet hates is when appliances die soon after the warranty expires!) Froothie have been great responding to my call for help and making it as simple as possible to return to to them for a quote to repair, however I've been doing my research and have decided I need a vacuum blender. I like to make smoothies in the morning and keep half in the fridge for later but they don't keep very well - obviously no fault of the blender, that's just the nature of fruit smoothies... APPARENTLY until now (with vacuum blenders) at least! I remembered reading a review about Optimum Evolve where the person had been a bit wary of spending almost $500 on a blender, but had done so anyway and was ecstatic with their purchase. Being a big Froothie fan (I also have the Pressure Cook Pro and use several times a week), I decided the Evolve was the one to replace my beloved 9400 (RIP) ... SO.... excitedly headed to Froothie site to check it out, to find the price is now over A THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! (With the 10 year warranty). My partner said "NO WAY!" Sooooo, though I am a long term Froothie fan, sadly I am now having to look at the Phillips one (and a couple of other opt) instead that are in more acceptable price range of around $400. (I know they don't have the steam/cook function but fruit smoothies that don't lose their colour and flavour in the fridge is what I'm really excited about) So I am sorry Froothie - as much as I love your products I'm going to have to shop elsewhere this time. I wish I had grabbed the Evolve in December when it was half the price :-(

Blender brought in 2015, stops working the second time – The motor in my blender is unreliable. I brought the blender in 2015 and after a year (2016) the blender stopped running. I have to sent it back for repair. Today (Oct 2018) the motor went bizarre - slow and then fast (alternating between the two speeds) and will be sending it back. It looks very likely the motor in my blender base is very… Read more

January 27th 2019 Update: Comparing the warranty between Froothie against others manufacturers

Recently my repaired blender (sent for repaired in Nov 2018) failed again. During that time (Nov 2018) I decided to purchase a Nutri Bullet MAX 12 Piece 1200 Watt N12-1207 to be used during the repaired by Froothie (my family cannot do without our daily smoothies). When the repaired blender arrived back, we again used the Optimum 9400 blender as we were happy with the blender. But alas, it fails again in mid Jan 2019 so have to switch back to nutribullet. During the blending of the smoothies the rubber band dropped and was cut.

Immediately we went back to the seller and without any question a replacement was offered instead of getting the customer to sent the blender for repair. Pretty disappointed win the handling of the warranty. Customers have to sent the blender back (a cost that the customers had to bear) and bear all the risks i.e. if the blender get broken on the way to the repair shop it is the customers responsibilities as the original packaging had been discarded. If the blender is under warranty (5 years), Foothie must be proud of the quality of their product/s. But repairs after repairs really put me off and are costing me dollars.

10+ years still going strong! – This blender deserves a review after using mine almost daily for 10+ years now! I originally wanted to invest in a decent blender for my smoothies and other recipes such as almond milk, grinding oats, pancake batters etc. I was comparing with the vitamix at the time and didn’t want to invest that much money, so I opted for the optimum 9400 1st gen… Read more ·  1

and it’s still going strong! It came with a 5 year warranty at the time, which I had to submit for a repair once after almost 5 years. I think it was something to do with the motor, I can’t remember. But the team were super friendly and helpful to take it to my local repairer. And then I’ve still got another 5 or so years out of it! Seriously the best investment for a high quality, everyday blender without breaking the bank. Highly recommended and will upgrade with an optimum by Froothie again! Thank you so much!

Powerful & great support – Bought 9400 in 2014 & in 2016 the motor & blade assembly were faulty. Got it fixed & replaced under warranty and have been running without issue since then which makes it 9yr old now. Its definitely more value for money than other blender when you consider how long it last even with daily use. Will buy the 2nd generation once this one decides to retire. Show details ·  1

Zero support outside Australia – Having read positive reviews, an Optimum 9400 was bought in Australia and brought to Singapore. Before the purchase, it was confirmed through email exchanges that warranty is global. When wear and tear occurred on the blade, offer of replacement at a cost was made. Brushes keep burning out every 18 months or less! – I am disappointed in the Optimum 9400 blender because since we bought it in June 2014, 3 sets of brushes have burnt out, and the blender just stops. We only do smoothies in it, not even nut butters which probably are harder on the motor, it is only used one or two times a week and it is an excellent blender when it works. Powerful blender – This machine has so much power it blends everything we have tried. The only tip is to make sure there is enough liquid in the jug as if there is not then the blades just spin at a really high rpm not achieving anything. Show details ·  1

A great product with great customer service to back it up! – We have purchased both an Optimum 600 juicer and Optimum 9400 blender from Froothie and both products have been superb and used on a daily basis for many, many years. The blender is astoundingly strong and can blend pretty much anything. In this day and age, both great products and great support are getting harder and harder to find. But in Froothie we have received both. We will definitely be supporting them by purchasing more in the future. Show details ·  1

Great machine and after sale service from Froothie – Super machine. Performs all blending jobs well. Is a little noisy but probably necessary to give the power. After 5 years it suddenly stopped working....Froothie honoured the warranty even though it was 1 month post 5years. They gave prompt and clear efficient service and notified me that machine had been fixed and Im awaiting its arrival. Would highly reccomend this machine. Show details ·  1
