nights. As some other reviews have stated these mattress's are FIRM! Not plush at all. I assumed that I would need time to adjust after sleeping on the Ergoflex for years and so I went out and purchased a pillow topper from a retail store while I tried to adjust. After a few nights I decided that the firmness was too much and I was not getting a good nights sleep so after emailing with Origin and letting them know how hard the mattress was, I decided to purchase the Contour Mattress Topper. Now remember, Origin are a sustainable company, and offer a 30 day return on their toppers. I received the topper which did nothing to alleviate the firmness of their Hybrid Pro mattress, so after a week or 2, I decided to return the topper. Well, if this isn't another case of Green Washing in the retail industry. On contacting Origin I was emailing with someone who doesn't live in Australia, who informed me I was to throw the topper out!! Just chuck it in the road side bin they told me! I informed them that I couldn't do this, that you are not allowed to throw mattress' and toppers in the bin. I was told in their country it was fine to do so. I again informed them that I could not throw it out and was under the impression that they were a sustainable company who donate their returned items. What ensued was a frustrating back and forth that resulted in myself donating the topper and a reluctant refund from Origin.

If you want a plush mattress, don't buy from Origin as you will get a very firm, albeit supportive mattress. If you value transparency, sustainably and good customer service do not buy from Origin.

After 2 years I am admitting defeat and am off to buy another, plush mattress and saying goodbye to $1600+ and a very firm mattress.

and we both agree that it is probably the most comfortable mattress we have ever slept on. It was received within a week of ordering and after assembling the new bed and unrolling the mattress we let it sit for 48 hours so that it had fully expanded before we slept on it. I find it firm but supportive and don't find myself waking up with any aches or pains related to sleeping posture. My sleep has been considerably better than my previous mattress(based on sleep recording on my smart watch. Although my wife tends to move around a fair bit at night I do not get woken up by the movement as I did on our previous mattress. All around it has been a very positive experience dealing with Origin and we are both very happy with the mattress so far.

bed, on investigating why learned that materials such as foam, glue, plastics et al in mattresses can be harmful not harmless as stated in some company websites. As there did not seem to be any testing here in Oz, as occurs USA and UK I turned to Choice who ranked Origin as number 1 and tested OECO-TEX and CERTI as safe? The company was excellent as while they stated delivery would occur and an expected date before Christmas the delivery company had other ideas and a text advised New Year's Eve ( 23 days?) On contacting them to sort the anomaly, was met with unexpected rudeness of LIKE IT OR LUMP IT when I stated that this wasnt what was scheduled so emailed Origin. ( Noted there was no phone number to call however quick to act in providing al alternative transport, as I stated if NY then I would cancel the order? ) There was also some confusion re a topper whether included with mattress or not, but was out of stock so cancelled it as if ordered would result in an additional 4cm in height to the 25-30cm mattress and so fitted King sheets already owned will not fit and sheets requiring purchase and complete replacement of standard king sheets at considerable cost. Also noted when revisiting the website after ordering to check same mattress noticed that the mattresses were discounted by $250 ( $1349 not $1599 ) less with more days and some hours to go? Also one prior to ordering on Black Friday sales, so not really impressed with such actions from companies. Any replies to emails were generally within the 24 hours stated due to high volume. Given some mattresses are rather costly at many thousands of dollars The Origin Pro is very comfortable on which to sleep, is free of any odour other than a slight new smell and which after a day or two airing and slept on night of delivery (after 12+ hours of airing ) necessary as back was sore from time sleeping on sofa bed, did not affect health in any way and back felt quite good. Only criticism being the sides of the bed are quite soft and expect more support in the edges or sides as of sitting on edge of bed is a tad saggy. A tendency to roll out if sleeping on the edge or rolling over.

Am impressed with the technology of this mattress, its ECO standard and materials. Also general cost is less than some more expensive products plus a 15 year warranty and given the warranty refund provided by AH Beard only covered the cost of our original mattress which while under warranty and the replacement newer model albeit rather toxic, only a balance of warranty of on our mattress which had spring sheer and protrusion in side, requiring it to be returned to the factory.

The packing of the Origin was very good , same with instructions, no damage in transit as tough but requiring tools to cut through heavy cardboard and disposal , was not too onerous however requiring two people to roll out the mattress and quickly removing the plastic which after cutting required super quick action as once plastic bag is cut for removal, mattress suddenly inflating.

Bought this mattress online as we live rurally and it is convenient. Our old conventional mattress was sagging and giving us both bad backs. Have loved this mattress from the first night and cannot say how very happy we are with it. Origin also has the best warranty of any mattress on the market. mattress has subtly impacted me, yet the joy it brings my wife fills me with happiness. Origin Mattress's customer service is truly commendable. Four days after our purchase, they introduced an Easter promotion. Although we had already paid, they graciously honored the promotion, which was a wonderful gesture. The shipping arrangements were excellent. We are patient individuals, so the delivery time was not a concern for us; the exceptional quality of our mattress was well worth the wait.

The mattress is great - however, service levels are FAR from great. The return policy is fundamentally designed to mislead and trip you up. We ordered pillows in (totally innocent) error, which they agreed to allow us to return once a positive review was posted (hence, below...). When we tried returning the mattress topper at the same time (which is totally unbearable from a sleep perspective and overhangs the mattress by 5cm!), we were told it was outside the return window - by approximately one week. To be left with a sub-standard product, which we paid $700 for, and unable to return within a reasonable timeframe, is extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable. If the mattresses are their selling point, why bother offering ancillary products in the first place... and then why make the return of them nigh on impossible when they don't meet reasonable expectations?

Origin's policy refuses to entertain a refund on the mattress until you've slept on it for 25+ nights, but all the 'ancilliary' items are on a totally different refund policy. This is absolutely disgraceful. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Very comfortable mattress - after a very long time with our previous mattress, it needed to stack up! We're not repositioning multiple times every night... sleeping on the back is really comfortable, and the non-disturbance aspect is AMAZING!! Very happy with our purchase.

happened to go on a trip in WA during the trial period and we found all the pocket spring mattresses we slept on had a “plush” or “luxury” layer in them and they were comfortable, but some beds were comfortable for us even without such a feature. When we got back, we contacted the Origin Customer Support Team and they suggested we get an Origin “Ultra Memory Mattress Topper”, which we did. That worked really well and we can now comfortably sleep on our Origin mattress. We have selected a 4 star rating particularly for the prompt and useful help we received from Customer Support.

Appreciated the easy check out and fast delivery. Was a bit skeptical that the mattress would be any good given it arrived rolled up, but i was proven wrong. We've had the mattress for 2 months now, and are enjoying our sleep every night. The hybrid model makes the bed suitable for couples with differing needs (hard vs. medium). The package itself was teared already when I received it. I tried to contact the support team, but no response. Used for a few days, not satisfied as its sides are sloggy, when you sit. (Origin was over a week late and we had to spend that time sleeping on a camp mattress, so already had incredibly sore backs to start with. The Origin mattress only exacerbated our aches and pains once it arrived due to how solid it was - I'm a side sleeper so my hips and shoulders were in so much pain!). Communication was also terrible!!! Slow to respond, and didn't even answer our main questions asked when they did respond "May we have an update on when our mattress is due to arrive as it is past the period of estimated arrival time!!!!" Do not purchase!!!! It's More hassle than it's worth and not the quality that they say. (I have ordered a bed in a box before that was half the price and 10x more comfortable... unfortunately they don't ship to Australia anymore, otherwise I would have ordered again).

Since switching, we’ve noticed better sleep quality overall—less tossing, fewer sore spots, and waking up feeling more rested.

If I had to point out downsides, it would be that more side handles would make moving this big mattress easier, and it would be great if the cover were removable for easier cleaning. But these are small issues compared to how well we’ve been sleeping.

Overall, highly recommended!

It is very supportive and comfy, I personally find it a bit on the firm side if you are a side sleeper but that was sorted by talking with origin about options and receiving an amazing deal on the topper. I like the firmness of this mattress, it was very comfortable for me. Keeps me cool during warmer weather and delivery was quick and smooth :) I also love the Origin upholstered bed frame, it was a breeze to assemble as the parts lock into place without the need for tools, and it looks beautiful.
