“Never ever order from Origin Mattresses Australia!!! By far the worst customer experience I have ever had. Origin were quite happy to take $2500 of my money and then basically never communicate with me authentically again. There is no phone number to contact and the chat window has no access to accounts so is useless. Email contact is the only way. The delivery window which they claim is 3-4 days (on the website they say next day delivery for metro areas which is an outright lie)”

This Origin Hybrid mattress was easy to install and fitted perfectly on my base. It is so comfortable and I’ve had the best sleep in years. preferred delivery date, as it was the earliest date available at checkout. I was provided with a delivery window of 30 December to 5 January. After not receiving the mattress during this window, I contacted support on 6 January and didn't receive a response until 8 January, when I was informed the product was out of stock at my "local warehouse" and would take another 12 business days to arrive from interstate, giving me the option to cancel if this was not suitable. As I need a new mattress immediately, I informed them I was not willing to wait another 12 business days and gave them an option to organise priority, expedited delivery. As I did not hear back from them 2 days later, I sent a notification that I instead wanted to cancel and receive a full refund. I sent several follow-ups with no response, giving them a deadline of 13 January to confirm my cancellation and refund. On this date, I received notification that the order had been dispatched with an estimated delivery date of 28 January, despite my clear and repeated instructions to cancel my order and provide me with a refund. This is in clear breach of Australian consumer law. I intend to reject the delivery at my door as unsolicited goods, lodge a chargeback dispute through my bank, and source a mattress through a reputable local supplier. I have already submitted a formal complaint through the ACCC and would encourage everyone with similar issues to do the same. Do not believe the mixture of incentivised and AI-written reviews. Origin Mattress Australia cannot be trusted to deliver on their promises.

much cooler and hasn't been a problem. I shift between side sleeping and sleeping on my back. The medium firm feel of this mattress works ok for both. Basically I don't really notice the mattress. Thsi is a good sign, right? If I'm not noticing anything it means I'm comfortable. If I had unlimited funds I probably would have tried the sleeping duck for the adjustable zones which would be nice for side sleeping - softer around the shoulders, firmer around the hips. But this was less than half the price on EOFY sale and does the job. I sleep well, it's supportive and doesn't aggravate my lower back, it's good enough for the job at a great price. According to CHOICE it has excellent longevity so I'm happy. I would have given 4.5 because no adjustable zones, but choosing between 4 & 5 I give it 5 becuase it's such good value.

was getting old. But a new mattress and I'm waking up feeling comfortable and pain free.

Firmness: I expected it to be firmer. It seems medium firmness when you sit on it, but when you weight is distributed on your back or side, it feels like just the right firmness, you don't sink too far in and you don't feel like you're on concrete. I'm 90kg 181cm tall. My partner is 60kg and 169cm tall. We are both side sleepers and we both had lower back pain and shoulder pain on the previous mattress and none on this one. FYI: Our bed base is solid, as I swapped the spring boards to yellow tongue flooring boards years ago. I think mattresses work best on a solid base.

Price: I was concerned about getting a mattress for a 1/3 of the price of my previous mattress, but so far so good. It was about $700 after a discount applied.

Cons: It is a much shorter mattress in height compared to my last and the edges are softer when you sit directly on them but I don't seem to roll out and I sleep right on the edge.

Pros: Really comfortable. It's neither too warm or cold. It holds its shape and my partner and I don't sag in towards each other. No plastic/foam smell.

Would I recommend: Yes. Even if this mattress only lasts 5 years, that's under 40 cents per night or under $3 per week. It's a no brainer value for money. I'm not disappointed with my choice and I did my homework reading reviews and comparing other mattresses.

Mattress was so easy to set up. I have been sleeping on it for a month now and I have noticed that my sleep had significantly improved during this time. Do not buy from this company. They lie on their website claiming fast and free next day delivery for metro Sydney but after you buy it, they give you a week long window for delivery. 5 March. That’s blatant false advertising. They said I was welcome to cancel my order but when I said to go ahead they said they’d have to confirm cancellation with their delivery team before refunding me. It’s been 3 days now, I’ve got no mattress and no refund. I can’t move into my unit and I can’t order another mattress from a reputable company. Yourself a favour and avoid this sham business. They don’t even have a phone number on their website, glaringly obvious why that is now.

The buying process was quick, easy & the mattress arrived with no delays or drama. I’m very happy with my Origin mattress. The quality is very good but most importantly it’s comfortable & supportive.
