and we frequently had to chase OSS for basic information. What they communicated and promised us was never delivered

When our belongings did finally arrive after six months, multiple furniture items were damaged — those that were severely damaged were unfixable. Several pieces were chipped, smashed, or structurally compromised, and sentimental, irreplaceable items were broken. We were explicitly instructed not to pack anything ourselves because OSS would handle "professional" packing.

After all this and despite extensive photographic evidence, OSS refused to assess responsibility, stating that because advanced transit insurance was declined, the matter would not be reviewed “regardless of the nature or cause of the damage.” Damage was repeatedly described as “normal transit movement,” even where the extent of destruction was clearly inconsistent and not caused with minor vibration or wear.

The most concerning aspect was the position taken by OSS that service quality and packing standards are irrelevant if insurance is not purchased. Insurance may determine financial recovery, but it does not erase a mover’s responsibility to pack and handle goods professionally. The refusal to separate insurance coverage from basic duty of care was embarrassing on their account, and frustrating and disappointing on ours.

OSS referenced industry standards, but in our case there was no meaningful accountability when the outcome fell well short of professional expectations and denied all accountability.

Bottom line is that we lost thousands of dollars worth of precious items that we worked hard to obtain all because OSS does not respect the property of their customers nor how long it takes to get there. They possess an inflexible, dismissive approach to responsibility once problems arise, and while we cannot pursue legal action any further, we would not recommend OSS World Wide to anyone.

My household items were picked up in the last week of March 2025 for an international move to the UAE. OSS International moves are stressful enough, and this experience has significantly added to that stress. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company due to the prolonged delays, lack of transparency, and ongoing uncertainty around delivery.

The evaluator and packing team operated to a high professional standard. The interaction was consistently polite and responsive to enquiries and acted promptly. This is my second shipment to the US with OSS and both met all my needs.

planning was seamless. The shipping, transfer and unloading of boxes at the final destination was so quick. Our agent Gabbie was intouch with updates before we could even think to ask for them. I cannot speak highly enough of the team at OSS. Jacqueline Marks especially was absolutely fantastic she is not only professional in all aspects, but she also kept us informed completely of our furniture from NZ to Maroochydore. Moving to Thailand with OSS Movers – Misha and the Team from OSS have made our international move easy, seamless and most importantly stress free. opened, with some crumpled butcher's paper placed on top and then re-taped. This lack of attention to detail was shocking, and it felt like they were cutting corners in a way that impacted the safety of my possessions.

When I raised concerns with the Brisbane branch, I was met with an unprofessional attitude from the branch manager. There was no sense of responsibility or concern for the services that had been promised but not delivered. The manager's communication was not only dismissive but also conveyed a complete lack of interest in resolving the issues at hand. It was incredibly frustrating.

Unpacking was another part of the contract, but this service was never provided. OSS's excuse was that my belongings were not being delivered to a home, so they don’t typically unpack anything. However, they couldn’t point to any part of the contract that mentioned this limitation. It was a flimsy excuse and added insult to injury.

As for the packing itself, it was shockingly inadequate. Many delicate and antique items were poorly packed, resulting in substantial damage to them during transit. I had trusted them with these items because they advertised superior care and attention to detail, but the reality was far from that. When I attempted to claim compensation through their insurance, OSS refused to pay the excess, despite their responsibility to ensure the safe transport of my goods.

Additionally, I was hit with unexpected charges for MPI inspection. OSS claimed that the New Zealand agent (NZ Movers) needed to add costs to cover their expenses for delivery into NZ. However, when I contacted MPI directly, I was told that the fees they were charging me were far higher than what MPI had actually charged them. This was yet another example of unnecessary upcharges.

In short, my experience with OSS Worldwide Movers was extremely negative. The extra charges, the mishandling of my possessions, and the terrible treatment from their staff have left me regretting choosing them for my move. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this company in the future to be wary. There’s a significant risk of extra charges, mistreatment of your belongings, and poor customer service that could leave you in a stressful and costly situation.

responded quickly to our many questions. To be honest we were stressing out about the day of the move but our removalists Jason and Nathan ensured the day went smoothly and with no problems. The boys were fast, efficient and friendly and nothing was broken. They even dismantled beds and a desk and put them back together again at the other end. Even with really bad traffic and the drive taking an hour longer than expected they were not fazed.
