Previous purchases happy with and worn out over time. However this recent case did not protect my iPhone- iPhone cover still intact which is more confusing causing me to replace the back of my phone due to cracks I can’t even state when this happened due to the cover never coming off, now looking at over 5 business days for a reply on what to ‘do… Read more

Case failed after 2.5 years - rubber perished. Despite using the case, I have had a smashed screen from a minor drop. Company refuses to deal directly with me with receipts for a warranty replacement Avoid, pointless product - terrible service Show details

Two symmetry cases delaminated which JB HiFi replaced/refunded. Bought a commuter case thinking it would be more durable and it cracked without misuse which has been difficult to replace/refund with Harvey Norman who I’ve lodged a Fair Trading case against. Will be lodging a case against OtterBox if they don’t get back to me on this too. Show details
Hi Everyone, I had the pleasure of dealing with [Name Removed] over my Ottobox warranty claim. Like every one else I too was sold a substandard product promising limited life time warranty and a case that’s built for a more rugged life style. How ever I feel Warranting a cheese burger as long as you don’t eat it actually hold more legitimacy then… Read more
the warranty offered by ottobox.
After sending photo after photo and multiple emails, ottobox will hide under a “wear and tear” clause! The ottobox phone case brakes down by touching the rubber and plastic with your hand. It gets brittle and falls apart. If you’re [Name Removed] in construction or a trade, your phone is an investment!!! Well your charger port will be filled with dirt and dust became the port cover on your ottobox case within months has left the chat! It will be the first thing to fall off.
[ will deny her own children that came out of her before acknowledging a legitimate warranty claim. I understand it’s her job to do so but when the rubber is falling off in little chunks yet she’ll tell you there’s nothing wrong with the rubber or plastic you’ve got to ask yourself, is Rosa just a banana?
Do yourself a favour go to Kmart, buy a $6 case and return it every 2 months. Ottobox is a scam.
If you’re in a trade stay away!!!!
You’re better with a vip lock sandwich bag then ottobox!
Purchased otterbox case with new phone. Case has fallen apart and the glass on my phone is now broken. Cr#p.
Drop protection for iPhone 12 is good but the rubber stretches at the buttons and charge point after 6 months of light use (1-2 hours per day max). I have used far cheaper ones that give the same drop protection and last 3 or more years. Disappointing for the money and hype Show details
Avoid!! Don't waste your money. OtterBox Defender cases crumble from normal use in under 18 months, and they won't honour their warranty in Australia. So many people in the US say they got their case replaced under warranty, they just pay postage. But not in Australia, they refuse warranty replacement. A quick google search confirms their… Read more
materials are poor quality. Google's summary: "Yes, OtterBox rubber cases experience wear and tear over time from normal use, leading to issues like stretching, loosening, or tearing. This is generally considered a form of material fatigue.
My case had all of the above issues and they refused warranty due to wear and tear. But wear and tear is literally what the phone case is supposed to do! I'm never buying an OtterBox product ever again.
Used to be good. It is now flimsy as. Really thin plastic on the defender holder.
Absolute rubbish! Do not purchase any Otterbox phone case. I purchased two supposed military grade cases for both mine and my wife’s iPhones. Early this year I dropped my phone twice resulting in replacement front and rear glass screens resulting in a cost of $700. All resulting from both sides of the cover detaching from the back. Luckily I had… Read more
insurance on my phone. I have purchased several military grade covers when I update my iPhone and have never had problems with other premium brand covers. I only chose Otterbox because of the clear case. My wife is very gentle with her phone but exactly the same thing has happened to her phone and I have attached photographic proof. I was unable to to obtain a refund on the case, which is even more disappointing. I will stick with iicase in the future as I have never had a problem with this brand.

Horrible people to deal with. I submitted and order and saw that I had a mistake and ask them to cancel said order. The intentionally dragged their feet until the order was shipped and said there was nothing they could do. They are frauds and cheats. Stay away from them at all costs. Show details

loose fitting sock. Fit is tight, probably a stress point when removing the phone from the case. Website said go to retailer (Optus), so I did that, was given a phone number for Accessories Support. Rang that, was told to visit retailer, told them I'm just done that and was told to ring them, then told they don't deal with the public anymore, they only supply the stores. Otterbox has a reputation as being the best, but in Australia the warranty is limited to 1 year. It's true that it cost me nothing, but my overall impression of Otterbox is that their products don't last, and will fail during normal use. It's normal to remove the phone from the case from time to time. I will either live with it, or buy a genuine Samsung one piece clear case, with no joins to fail.
Follow-up · It was for a Samsung Galaxy A15. I only removed my phone occasionally, not on a regular basis.
Bought the Otter - Premium Glass - drop phone ‘screen protection ‘ for my Samsung S25 from JB Hi Fi for $43.95. Not a good product - had stickers on it that didn’t come off properly and I had to use turps. Don’t buy this Show details
Follow-up · This can only be fitted by a professional at a telephone store. Don’t buy it from a retailer as it’s just not designed for non professionals

Great support and warranty service – I have had an iPhone XR for over 5 years. I got a Statement series case when I bought the phone. It protected the phone very well. It has dropped onto a tile floor from 4 feet with no damage to the phone. The case did begin to deteriorate after 3 years and Otterbox supplied a new case free of charge with no shipping/handling fee. The support… Read more
team was very helpful and prompt during the process. After another two years, the second case also cracked. This time Otterbox did charge a shipping fee. Unfortunately, this case immediately cracked. The case has been discontinued so it had probably been manufactured years ago. This time Otterbox sent me a new Symmetry Case with no charge. I suppose it might be nice if the original case had lasted forever, but the company has definitely done all they can to honor their warranty and make things right.
Stands a flying accident – I left my phone on top of my car before driving off and while driving saw if fly and roll on the road at very high speed. Went back to find my phone INTACT and the case didn't even have marks on it. Very impressive considering the impact and the fact that a few trucks ran over it. Show details
iPhone 15 Pro Max OtterBox Frē Series Case for MagSafe – iPhone 15 Pro Max OtterBox Frē Series Case for MagSafe I've seen some of the other reviews and was reluctant to buy the case for iPhone 15. non-apple cases. The phone has already been dropped several times with excelent protection. expensive, but is two cases in one.....
Although it makes the iPhone feel larger than it is, it provides excellent protection from drops of table-height or less. I wouldn't drop my phone intentionally so any higher drops will not be verified by me!
So far so good. If it proves to be a bad choice i'll be back to let you know

My Symmetry series case for the iPhone 17 Pro Max has within 4 months already broke. The magnets stick for MagSafe in the case has come out of its slot and stick to my phone. I guess I’m not supposed to remove the case from my phone. Just going to go with Apple’s Techwoven case. Show details
This company has gone downhill. 50% recycled plastic garbage. Don’t bother buying if you have a fold device. Literally fell to pieces on one drop from sitting on a chair.
Don't waste your money. Otterbox market their products as being extremely durable and go on and on about their warranty policy, but it's all puff. I was not offered any form of compensation.
A $100 case for a model that's barely 3 years old itself and that's the response. Absolutely feeble.

Accidentally dropped my phone off a fourth floor balcony today, thankfully with my otterbox phone case! It tumbled the whole way and hit a fitted hose mount in the garden below before hitting the ground. Not a scratch on my phone. So good!
Needed a new case for my phone, their’s get good reviews, so signed up for their signup discount code prior to ordering. Predictably, like most companies that offer it, the sign up discount offer didnt work and is a dishonest piece of marketing. It wasn't honoured, there is always some fine print that means they never offer a real discount code… Read more
that actually works, and thats my first experience with Ottobox!
I have long thought the fake discount codes was an interesting way to treat someone who is by definition a new customer. Unbelievably st^pid. If you aren't going to honour those offers, don't offer them!
They have lost me as a customer forever.
i bought a phone cover then did not require as family member bought me one Ottorbox sent a MRA I paid to return item 2 weeks later I still have not got my money back and they have the item disgusting service and no phone number in Australia Show details

shield screen protector very great warranty services. otter box warranty pathetic, I will never recommend to anyone. Sydney Australia.
Follow-up · yes I did contact the store where I have purchased and also the otter company. Disappointment. I have used always high quality branded product. My great experience for warranty with Zagshield, Belkin and Cygnett.
Bought an Otterbox defender for my iPad 9th gen, what an absolute piece of overpriced expensive rubbish. I was told Otterbox cases were good, what a joke. Rubber around the top right corner where control buttons are situated seemed to just break down and rot then fell apart inside of 12 months, My satisfaction level = zero. I will never buy Otterbox again, and I advise anybody considering Otterbox to look elsewhere. Show details

materials. Sorry, no pictures because JB kept it. But other reviews here with the same problem have provided pictures. If I could give it negative stars I would. I'll never buy anything OtterBox again. All the big stores sell them, probably because of Otterbox's claims about quality & protection, & also because there appears to be no good alternatives. I just replaced it with a different brand hard case & will pop into Bunnings & get a tube of rapid cure silicone rubber & carefully put a grippy & shock absorbing raised bead around the edges. Suggestions: 1/. Always buy in a major well know retail shop (like JB Hifi) not online, to facilitate easy & quick face-to-face complaints negotiations & returns if & when something goes wrong. 2/. Don't accept any nonsense about "supplier's "warranty" time & conditions. Just tell them straight away you are claiming under the "Australian Retail Guarantee", which is federally mandated powerful legal obligation that they can't avoid & that doesn't have a time limit. And it's 100% for the consumers protection, unlike the "supplier's warranty" they may try to fob you off with. 3/. Don't buy products from manufacturers or brands that don't have or don't provide a physical address & contact phone number in Australia. If they are hiding don't buy their product.
Have had Otterbox cases for years. Probably my fourth one, no issues. But this one like a few recent reviews here fell apart. apart. Ironically enough, the week the case fell apart, the phone smashed after a small drop. I paid to fix it, which for 14 pro max phones is expensive.
After back and forth since March (now June) literally while writing the review, JB have finally agreed to replace the case. But I have to drive 1.5 hours to get the new case, as i purchased it while on a work trip. Way to much effort for a product that has a warranty of "Lifetime of the product, which is seven (7) years from the original date of purchase of the Product by a customer from an Otter-authorized dealer".
Brought a waterproof OtterBox case. Worked great, dust proof, waterproof but within a Month the camera screen on the case got hazy film over it and all my photos would be blurred unless I took off the back of the case to take pictures. For the price and how long it lasted would not recommend
