Brad was our inspector. Very thorough and helpful. Took his time and brought issues to our attention that we were not aware of despite having inspected the property numerous times.

Owner Inspections have been very professional and have provided a great report on our new build. Report was very thorough considering our build is a reverse build and so much work that should have been completed by this stage not yet done.

assurances of being assigned their best inspector, I was given a last-minute replacement who arrived without any basic tools - no measuring tape, no ladder - essentials for a thorough inspection. Furthermore, the inspector failed to check critical areas such as the roof and roof cavity, which were explicitly agreed upon. While the inspector was a great guy, the lack of experience (this was not his primary job) and thoroughness was evident and not what I had signed up for.

Additionally, the inspection itself was underwhelming. The inspector failed to identify any issues beyond what I had already noticed. This was particularly concerning as I specifically required someone with expertise in QLD standards and tolerances, which was not delivered.

Now, in my third week of attempting to resolve these issues with Owner Inspections, my efforts remain fruitless. After sending five emails with no substantial response, I have decided to escalate the matter to QCAT. It's a frustrating situation, and I regret choosing this company for my inspection needs. Their service fell significantly short of expectations and professional standards.

My only constructive feedback is that, as a first home buyer, I would have appreciated more verbal guidance and recommendations after the inspection. This may have been partly because I didn’t know the right questions to ask, and to be fair, Heny was happy to speak with me when I contacted him.

However, some proactive feedback—such as how the property’s overall condition compares with similar property, would have given me even more confidence in my decision.

Overall, the quality of the inspection and report was excellent, and the company was very responsive and easy to deal with. The customer service was really bad. I asked them what was included in the quote and they said everything and then asked extra later once payment had gone through for adding things they said were included over the call. They didn’t even give a refund for the misunderstandijg even though everything was recorded on the call.

This company’s conduct has been nothing less than a disgrace. They are effectively in bed with the builder, working against the interests of the client they claim to serve. defects with plasterboard. This wasn’t an honest inspection process — it was a calculated cover-up that protects the builder’s shoddy workmanship and leaves the client completely exposed.

Telling me to arrange a reinspection after the mistakes were concealed is a sick joke and exposes the company as complicit in this charade. They’ve done nothing to hold the builder accountable — instead, they’ve actively enabled the “mafia builder” to rip me off while wasting my time and money.

I have reported this matter to NSW Fair Trading and recommend anyone considering their services think twice before trusting a company that clearly prioritises builders over their clients.

Worst company ever - do not use them for a pre purchase inspection!! Terrible customer service, communication and dodgy practices.
