who was going to be completing the works (this is not always the case).

We are looking to buy our family home, where the house has unique foundations which we need expert advice with, to ensure structural integrity. I had also explained a concern when attending the Open House and issued Les a mark-up expressing my concerns.

After completing completing their usual inspection Les focused on some of my concerns, even talking to the owners about it. Les also called me up a few times during his investigations, running through his observations and alleviating my concerns with what I observed. Master Property Inspections Report is comprehensive and even took time to look into some items over and above their scope. Overall report for Building & Pest was circa 66-pages, well put together, easy to read and understand.

Master Property Inspections may charge a little more for their services, but I think they definitely have added value and "peach-of-mind" if you are buying your next home or investment.

I highly recommend Master Property Inspections, mainly Les for his services.

throughout our process. Brett was incredibly thorough and took the time after the inspection to explain the defects, seriousness / impacts or how to resolve / who to engage. Brett explained everything in a manner that was easy to digest and not overwhelming, he was honest, to the point and made sure all our questions were answered giving us the peace of mind to move forward with the sale knowing exactly what was up! thorough assessment that would give me a clear understanding of my home's condition. Although the report identified a number of findings, I found it difficult to tell what was assessed in individual rooms and key areas such as the bathrooms, showers, kitchen, and laundry. The report was not detailed, and it did not cover any rooms. I have previously had building inspections carried out where the reports provided considerably more room-specific detail, making it much easier to understand what had been inspected and the condition of the property. When I raised this comparison with the inspector, he told me I had only had two inspections, whereas he had completed around 1,000. I found this response dismissive and inappropriate, and he was very rude over the phone when I was simply trying to explain why I had concerns about the level of detail in my report. I was also told that providing room-by-room information could result in a report running into hundreds of pages. My concern was never the report length. I simply wanted sufficient property-specific information to understand what had been inspected and the condition of those areas. During our conversation, I was also advised that areas/items such as the shower, laundry, and kitchen sink were not included in the Standard inspection, which surprised me and reinforced that the service was not as comprehensive as I expected. Most disappointing was that I sent a detailed email setting out my concerns and asking specific questions about the inspection and report, but I did not receive a written response addressing them. I believe customers should be able to raise genuine concerns about an inspection and have those concerns addressed respectfully and professionally. Given what I paid for the building and pest inspection, I expected a much higher level of detail, communication, and follow-up than I received. Based on my overall experience, I did not feel the service provided represented good value for the amount paid. I would not recommend them to anyone and will never go back. I wish I could get my money back, as their website says they offer a 100% money-back guarantee. I am quite sure they will find reasons to not give the money back.

Babak was amazing! He knew so much, was really friendly and he would even tell you the clauses that things weren't compliant with. Spent a couple of hours doing the inspection and was so thorough.

pre-slab to handover. I couldn’t have asked for more. From the very start the builder understood that unless Final Inspect ok’d the stage, there would be no payment. Final Inspect made sure that the works conformed to the contract and to the relevant Australian Standards from start to finish. The builder tried it on once, and only once, after which I had no problems and the house was built to spec. I remember near the end there was a dent in the gutter which I didn’t think much of and wanted to let go - just so I could move in. Peter’s comment to me was “ if you bought a new car and went to pick it up and it had a dent in it, what would you do?” He had a point. You pay for a new house without any defects, do not settle for anything less! Thanks Peter, and thanks Final Inspect. Five stars and worth every cent!

intervals (ie $75) as stated they charged me $660+GST. The front sheet of the work order, clause 1, and the T&Cs, state $300 /hour rate, in 15 minute increments, both for variations and additional visit. But they also have a vague clause that they charge pro-rata without stating how they work that out. Sounds consistent with the $300ph stated, sounds like they'll charge in proportion to the extra hours required. But no, you find out when they use your credit card for a second time. Multiple emails got nowhere. Would give a negative number of stars if that was possible.

I've always had photos supplied on building inspections, but they didn't got that far.

available on google Street view (water stains on brick wall) and nearmaps (slipped roof tile) for 3 years prior. There was also a big hole in the sarking made by a builder to install a pergola which was clearly visible in the roofspace (you could see daylight comming in) None of this was picked up in the inspection report. And they deny any responsibility for failing to identify the damage. They gave me a legal response saying a close line blocked their view and that there was rain so they couldn't access the roof. They clearly dont know about moisture meters and thermal imaging. They also said they identified tile slippage which they did but it was a tile in a different area as the photo on their report clearly shows and that particular tile had only partially slipped and the sarking was fine in that area. It was another smokescreen. They also said they advised me to get a professional roofer to fix the slipped tiles and if I did it could have prevented the water damage. The funny thing is that I did get a roofer to fix the slipped tile and he identified others and a hole at the time one month after I took poessession of the house but the damage was at the base of the cavity wall which he couldn't see from the roof. I found this myself 9 months later when removing skirtings for renovations.

I have attached photos of the staining on the wall which can be seen on street view for 3 years prior.

I also attached photos the roofer took at the time of the things he fixed which were not on the report and an aerial photo from near maps showing the location of these

I would not recommend this company as they did a poor inspection for me and took no responsibility.
