Excellent Product & Service – We are very happy with our new laminate flooring. It looks fab and the quality is great. Scratches very easily! – Asked for the most durable waterproof flooring and I am getting scratches on the floor boards with light furniture like a dinning chair. Really bad quality floor material!

Unfortunately it's all about money – It's been almost a year and spending $6000 on our floor we are disappointed. Initially it was creaking and I contacted them and Shirley said it will take about 3 months for the floor to settle. So we were patient and its nearly one year and the problem still persists. Terrible – I ordered red Ironbark solid timber (which is the most expensive timber) to supply and install for my house and I paid in full, after the job done, I picked one piece of timber from the leftover and found its so light, then sent it to timber experts to check, it’s not red Ironbark timber!! My visit to OzWood Castle Hill branch was great. Tony spent a long time explaining what is hybrid planks and the difference to laminate and vinyl planks. Further, he took a copy of my floor plan and carefully examined to ensure he has gotten the right measurements, so that no surprise on the day of installation. Furthermore, I would like to thank Tony for being accommodating with the changes and this is because the settlement of my home had moved forward for 2 weeks and Tony was able to make changes.

In respect of installation, I would say Mr Yan, the installer, was meticulous in his installation. The job took three full days to finish. Mr Yan would turn up at 7am and finished at 7pm for the first and second day. He carefully remove the skirting board, to ensure no damages were made, and the existing carpet. As I see it, he ensured every plank was laid properly and appropriately.

I find the low ratings here, in particularly those comments about installer cannot speak English and all, are unfounded and perhaps racist. I have no issue in respect of communication with Mr Yan, and I could understand his English well. Perhaps, English is not his first language, but we could understand each other well. Also, installer is there to do a job not to have conversation with you.

Finally, I would strongly recommend OzWood Castle Hill branch to my friends and family.

Never deal with them again! – workmanship was terrible, I had timber floor installed by them and the job was so lousy that I could not believe my eye, there were so many big issues,then I complained to the management,to my very suprise the management 's attitude was very bad, did not offer any solution and said you could make complains to their assotiation. anyway I personly never want to deal with them anymore! aviod them! Show details

We told the salesperson [name removed] that our floor was damaged, showed her photos, and we said we wanted them to come out and have a look because then they can give us recommendations.

Nonetheless, [name removed] said it was all fine they will do a perfect job no matter the state of the floors. Also, she told us that it will take them 2 days to install.

They told us they would send out a foreman for the initial measure and quote and we chased them for a while before a person came out (after paying the deposit). I took time off work because we were so desperate to finally get the opportunity to speak with a foreman. Unfortunately, it wasnt a foreman at all, it was a young salesmen who turned up. He didnt know what advice to give us on our floors, or what they planned to do. He told us that he would need to send a builder to look, he took photos. I expressed my disappointed at taking time off work and for waiting so long to finally see someone who we could actually have technical conversations with about what was going to be done etc. A few days later, an appointment was made with the builder. On the day, the builder changed the appointment at least 3 times and finally arrived 45mins late. He suggested our floors werent going to be good for hybrid and he recommended laminate. This was a few days before they were supposed to start work.

We were disappointed that it took approx 3 weeks for them to make this assessment of our floors. We went back to the showroom and again spoke with [name removed]. She took an extra $1k and told us that laminate will work perfectly and they will do a great job etc etc. Unfortunately, there was no price difference between hybrid/ laminate(??) so they kept everything the same except they were now going to charge us an extra $630 because our poor floors.

A few days before the work started, I receive a call asking for more money. I say no they need to do some work before we give them anymore. We confirm 9am Monday start.

On Monday, the same young salesmen turns up 1.5 hours late and tells me that they will finish the work that same day, I am extremely confused, I said no they need to level and fix the flooring and we need to check that the floor has been properly repaired before they start putting the floorboards. He said no they will do a good job. I was not convinced and I said for my peace of mind I will be bringing an independent builder to check the levelling and if there is an issue they will need to repair it. He calls the office and then informs me that I am too fussy and they will not do the job anymore, he walks off.

Obviously, they were concerned at having an independent check their work. They later on inform my husband that they will not be giving us the full warranty because of the state of our floors (which theyve had in excess of 3 weeks to assess and decide).

There were many other horrible encounters we had with this business after their refusal to do the job because we were being "too fussy" but we were being charged +$5k for the job. They are very difficult to communicate with and you must be prepared to work with whatever benefits them.

Unfortunately the experience was a waste of our time, efforts and left us high and dry last minute especially leading to the Christmas period. Would not recommend this business to anyone.

Thankfully, we were able to find other suppliers who charged less, had superior customer service and have done an impeccable job.

Excellent workmanship – Dealt with Shirley and had a great experience in the showroom. OZ wood supplied and fitted flooring. The installers arrived on time to Bargo and in 10 hours had 100 square meters laid plus skirting. They done a excellent job would highly recommend the whole team could find no faults. Clear pricing, professional team and overall very good experience – The salesman,Tony in the store was professional and not pushy. Installers turned up on planned date & time and finished two floors 12mm laminate floor boards installation in one and half days. They cleared all the waste of existing carpets and tiles as they install which makes us keep living on the same house during installation days. We are VERY happy with the results and would use them again.
