Panasonic Aero CS/CU-Z25VKR (2.5kW)
VerifiedMPNs: CS/CU-Z25VKR and CSCUZ25VKR6 reviews
Great units – Have installed all together 6 units, 5 x 2.5 kw and 1 x 7.1 kw. 5 units working for last 4 years without any issues. 1 unit had an issue with the board. Called Panasonic and the board was replaced within a week. Great service Show reply
Don not buy Panasonic Aircon - Won't last , remote progressively dies – This is about Panasonic branded AC units and their dodgy strategy to fool customers. They repackage same units without major changes under different model number. I think this is to avoid long term reviews of the unit. I bought 5 units from Harvey Norman and two of them stopped working within warranty period. So got it fixed under warranty. … Read more
Now the remotes start failing. Panasonic's response was the warranty on the remote is only for 1 year each remote cost close to $100. We have many devices in our house which older the Panasonic aircon and no issues with their remotes. These devices include a $39 fan.
IMO the performance of Panasonic aircon is also terrible. Couple of years ago, I bought two units of another well known branded Aircon from bunnings to install in our kitchen and office room . That made me realise that how bad Panasonic's cooling was.
looks like all mid-range aircons comes from the same factory in thailand with minor changes to the embedded software , casing and remote.
My recommendation is " DO NOT BUY"
Clicks and Cracks in the wee hours – Problems with both new 7.1kw and 2.5kw units from multi-head outdoor unit. Replaced working 9yr old Panasonic 2.5KW in bedroom and added a 7.1Kw for living area. I have had ongoing issues with clicking and cracking noises which are randon. It wakes us at all hours of the night and can go on for most of the night at times. The seller visted twice… Read more
and thought the noise was due to ice-buildup and cracking and said not to run the unit on "quiet" setting. Ran the unit on 3 bar fan setting and still have the noise. Other consumers have also complained of these noises and some success with replacing the louver motor. This will now be done by the installer under warranty. I'm not confident but worth a try. The 7.1Kw unit had to have the fan replaced as it shuddred and was noisy. It runs ok on quiet mode. After having a very good 2.5Kw unit in the bedroom for 9 years I did not have much reason to research panasonic. I'm sorry I didn't. As far as I am concerned Panasonic quality is not what it used to be.
Repair process of faulty unit is too long – I have two identical units newly installed. One worked fine, and I would put 4 stars for that one. But the other one died after a few months. I do understand that sometimes we're unlucky and a faulty product sometimes slips through quality control, but the repair process should have been much better. We have been without this AC for 7 weeks, and… Read more
this is mid winter in Victoria! The first 2~3 weeks were spent dealing with the original installer to determine whether the fault was due to installation or the product itself. The rest of the time (still ongoing) is with the Panasonic appointed repairer. The repairers are doing a great job, given that the nature of the fault is quite tricky, but waiting for the replacement parts takes ages. We're still waiting for the parts now. It would be a much better policy if the faulty unit can just be replaced as a whole, instead of replacing parts of it, which consumes too much time and labour, not to mention headaches. To be fair, this happens during the COVID19 pandemy, so I don't expect things to go at normal pace, but if the whole unit is replaced, it would definitely be much faster, because they already have the stock locally.
Too Noisy: Must avoid – Panasonic C2.5kW H3.2kW Reverse Cycle Split System CS/CU-Z25VKR I regret my decision to go for Panasonic Air Conditioner. It's noisy like helicopter when used for heating during winter. I got this installed in Oct 19. The pain of noise got me to warranty. The outdoor unit was replaced, but the new unit is as noisy as the old one. My experience: Avoid Panasonic Air Conditioner
Don't buy poorly made, connection threads aren't threaded to a high quality and then they blame installer – Have 2 of these units already no problems but now Panasonic are making these cheaper to make a bigger profit. Threads are not threaded correctly can tighten by hand and are still loose. They blame installer with out even inspecting unit just by looking at a photo. 9 month old has to sleep in are room for the last week because Panasonic won't… Read more
